Jason told me there was no more cars available and he couldnt honor my reservation and I had to demand multiple times to talk to his manager (he said that i cant talk to him) and once i finally talked to his manager, John tried made sure I was able to get my reservation honored but Jason tried charging me double what the guy from the day before tried charging me when i didnt have my credit card on me so i ended up using Avis

Rented a nice car at a good rate about a month ago! Edward at the front desk was awesome and had me in and out in no time would book again for sure

If I could give them no Stars I would. I reserved a car at one price when I got there it was different even though I had a picture if my quote. the person at counter told me I needed to call the 800 number he would not do anything to help this is after waiting an hour inline I had to go call the 800 number after 30 minutes on the phone they were able to fix that problem. Now I had to get back inline for 20 minutes only to be told my account was locked ofter 15 to 20 min. they were able to see my account only to be told that they did not have the car I had reserved. After a long day of traveling this guys were not willing to help. They said go home or to your hotel we will give you a car when we get a car. Never got a call or a car for my week stay in San Jose. I wrote to the CEO of Fox Rent A Car and he never even responded. So I will never do any kind of business with this company. I don't want to write everything the customer service people said but I can tell you it was not good. Please use a different car rental company and safe yourself a BIG headache.

The thing about Fox is that it is cheap compared to others. If you can tolerate the hidden charges, the lack of customer service, unavailability of cars, then it may be ok for you. However, I received a customer care email asking for my feedback which I provided, where I was overcharged for allegedly not returning the car with a full tank of gas, I got no response. I tried Fox 4 times in 5 weeks and have now given up on them.

Renting a car can be a stressful process especially in the airport but Russel was super friendly and helpful with all my questions I would definitely recommend. It wasn't busy and made sure I knew where to pick up my car and was helped finding it

After I wrote the last review, I almost expected no response. By the way, I had prepaid for a large SUV through Expedia. The reason why the agent at the counter at Fox was because it was a 3rd party involved. I had spoken to Expedia, who informed me that, Fox was closed and no one was there, at 6pm, and they could not access my account because they had closed it. 48 hours later, Expedia emailed me that Fox would not refund the money. The money that I paid Expedia, and Expedia had paid Fox, for the large SUV. Fox would not refund for the car, when they had no car for me to rent.The management's response to please be in contact with customer service at Fox is laughable. Fox car rental has a business model of renting cars to customers when they DO NOT have cars to rent!!!!!!No, I am not writing to your customer service. When your business model is rent out cars when you have no cars, I do not trust a single thing you have to offer.I do not blame people who work for Fox. I feel sorry for them. They are honest people just trying to work to put food on the table. Not their fault. This terrible business model, prepaying for a car when there was not car, is solely responsible by the Fox Rental Car, who has no cars to rent!!! IT'S A JOKE!

Grateful for such excellent service and care from FOX. Russell was very courteous and Professional as he helped me through that process. I was visiting during extenuating circumstances and he was so kind to make sure i was taken through that process with such ease. The rental car was a great selection for my needs and will be happy to recommend this company and use on my next visit. Thank you

Had a great experience with these folks. I arrived early, but the rep at the counter went out of his way to find a car for me. He gave me a nice Camry and I had no problems with pickup or return. I think Fox must be improving their operations since most of the recent reviews are positive; I wouldn't be too worried about the historical negative reviews.

HIGHLY appreciate Megan customer service in San Jose. This morning I dropped the car super early and encountered a snafu (based on my error) but it was before any of the rental desks were open. I left a note, caught my flight and Megan called me to work everything out. Appreciate her extra efforts, problem solving and kindness. Russell at checkin was also friendly and helpful. Kudos to the good folks at FOX!

Rented and paid $189 for a car through uber rentals (I will never do that again) and was sent to pick up the car from fox rentals and the transaction was smooth asked for my credit card to be on file for $699 hold. I returned the car early and then fox charged me $276 their own rental fee even though I already paid uber rentals. I keep getting the run around from both companies blaming one another. Uber said I already paid them so I should not have paid fox rentals. I emailed the operations manager John L. No response.Update: I emailed the company again and the response was ridiculous, they told me that i was charged more because i returned the car back early. And I signed up for extras which i did NOT. I told the person at the desk I would return the car by 10pm and they said if i returned it by 8pm i could save an extra $20. So i said sure. Makes sense. I returned it at 7:35pm. But the company decided to charge me more for that?

The worst car rental what I know.Liars. Crooks. Russel said I needed to buy insurance. Had to. That's not true! So, no matter where you book a car when you come to Fox, they will charge an additional 30-50% of what you paid before because it is Fox. They do not refund money. So you will pay or lost

Russell was the man! It’s disturbing enough that your systems charged my bank CC but then since it was a combo debit card with enough money for the deposit, it cancelled twice. If it weren’t for Russell, my family and I would be leaving horrible reviews left and right. He made sure we were taken care of. Pay him more.

After reading some bad reviews i was actually nervous to rent here but surprisingly i came on Friday at 4ish. And seriously no line!! I was like OMG wow this is great. And the gentleman in front was really nice and checked us in quickly and we got our car fast too! If anything rent at this place and pick up during non peak hours and youll be fine. Also I booked online and I got a great deal on their website - thank you!

I ended up paying about $90.93 extra which left a bad taste. During the check-in process, several add-ons were presented. I declined everything until the Platepass was presented as a $12.99 option that would cover the $7 bridge fee to Sonoma so accepted it only to find out it was a per day charge ($90.93). I complained but it fell on deaf ears and I finally capitulated. I'd think twice about using Fox again.
