This is the place to go for your car service. I’ve taken my cars here over the years because their customer service is great, their prices are affordable and the service is on point. I started coming here as a college student. At that time, Alan and Jose would always make sure I understood what was going on with my car and gave me maintenance tips on how to take care of it. I ended up moving out of the area, but always remembered the care they took for my vehicles. I have now returned to the area and I knew GIC would take care of any concerns I had with my car. As a woman who knows little about car, I’m glad to have a place I can trust to help me with oil changes and car maintenance.

I am very impressed with GIC Car Clinic as it's a fantastic Car Repair shop where the staff/owner is highly ethical, professional and have deep subject-matter expertise. I went to 7 different shops to get a quotation for my 150000 miles service of my 20 year old Toyota Sienna Van and almost everyone came out with different issues with high mark-up item listed price. 'GIC Car Clinic' and 'Akins Auto Repair' are the 2 shops which stands for 'Gold' Standard where they identified the issues correctly where the diagnostics was up to the point and replaced parts from sourcing with genuine Toyota Parts. The 'Price' is 'Very Good' where the overall price is much lower than other shops except a few parts are bit pricey and I don't blame GIC Car Clinic for that as it's directly coming from Toyota Sourcing Vendors where GIC Car Clinic don't have control. Special thanks to the 'Service Advisor' Madam Jenny who is real subject-matter expert where she listened patiently to my problems, Sorted the details by driving herself and letting know the Master Technician to do an in-depth diagnostics where they identified the problem lies with 'Electronic Computer Module' [ECM] needs to be replaced and reprogrammed and relearned. They did a new 'Tire Replacement' on the right rear side with balancing the wheels and have further suggested to do 'Suspension' work along with other miscellaneous service. Highly Professional - Friendly Staff Jenny and Owner Jared - Politeness & Respect - Competitive Price [Exception certain parts are bit pricey] - Fast Turnaround [Exception where getting parts will take time and we have to be Patient] and hope to be a long-time customer and am giving 5 Star Rating for their Integrity and Expertise they provide. Thanks.New UPDATES as of NOV 17th 2023 - Yes, GIC Car Clinic again STRIKES back positively with my feedback. They carefully reviewed my feedback and did an outstanding job of reducing the ECM component part from $1078 to $938 which is the ORIGINAL PART PRICE from Toyota Dealer with NO Markup on Parts. They have also completely eliminated the REPROGRAMMING and RELEARNING the ECM where it's not necessary in my case eliminating nearly $201 and finally SAVING me $341 of the final price including parts & labor. My VAN is in 'Very Good' condition and is driving smoothly. Special thanks to staff JENNY who patiently read my feedback, got back to me and took special care of my Van Service and I thank everyone that includes the staff and owner. Finally, JENNY also followed up with me through messages stating how is the condition of my Van and is there anything she can able to fix it. I am upfront honest with my above reviews and please try various trusted car repair shop and get quotation from GIC, AKINS, ROBBIES, TRESAMIGO, THANH's and others and hope you can make a decision that fits your style.The lesson which I personally learnt is that there are HONEST people out of Crooked people and all we need is to analyze deeply and make a decision. Hey, it's better to be honest and make less money rather than losing reputation in the long run through dishonest means where we will not sleep properly.....Thank you GIC!

Went for used car inspection. It was a bit pricey but I have to say they they a thorough job. Jenny was super kind and helpful she hopped on the call several times and helped answer my questions and accommodated my special requests. I’m a picky person and I felt bad that I kept calling the shop for every little thing I had concerns about. But Jenny was kind enough to patiently address each of my concerns. The communication was super clear, and the inspection report had everything one would look for before buying a used car. It really helped my decision making so I think the money I spent here was totally worth it.

GIC is run like a well oiled machine. The shop is extremely clean and professional. They fixed the transmission on my Prius. Jenny was great to work with, she spent a lot of time researching a good used replacement part and kept me updated thru the whole process. We will be back, and definitely recommend to any of our friends in the South Bay.

I am writing regarding the service which we had performed on our Chevy HHR on Thursday, October 5th. One of the reasons we decided to give this company a try was because of all the great reviews which they have. Sadly, ours will not be one of them.I would like to mention that the staff at GIC are very friendly, and the front office is very clean and smooth functioning. When I dropped the car off for the turn signal repair, as it turned out, the night before, on October 4th, the left hand turn lightbulb went out. I left a note regarding this when the car was left in the early drop off. I (and thus far, everyone I have mentioned this to) was quite shocked when I was told that to replace the light bulb would be $56.84 for what would take, essentially 2 minutes for the mechanic to replace. What we found the most insulting was that you were asking for $56.84 at the same time you are giving us an estimate for additional repairs totaling close to $1,200! An excellent "good will gesture", and to ensure the possibility of returning as a customer to have the estimated repairs completed, would have been to replace the light bulb at no charge, which my husband did in a matter of minutes upon arriving home.We also question the comment that the car needed new shocks and struts when they replaced less than 30,000 miles ago. While we realize that this is just the mechanics opinion at GIC, a much more professional way to have presented this would have been to ASK us when the last time was that we had the shocks and struts changed as opposed to having it be something needing "Urgent Attention". While we do not dispute that the car may need to have the radiator hoses and thermostat replaced, what we did not appreciate was the HIGH PRESSURE "scare tactic" that Lexi used as we closed out our invoice. She made it seem like the car would seize and blow up on the drive home if we did not schedule an appointment IMMEDATELY to replace the hoses. In my lifetime of automotive experience, while something like this MAY happen, it is totally unlikely. Using high pressure sales tactics, rarely, if ever ends up working in favor of the company, especially when you present them with an estimate and without any type good will gesture. We will not be returning to GIC, nor will we ever give them a recommendation.

I’ve hardly ever give reviews because it takes up a lot of time so here I go. The receptionist, help me with making sure all my needs were met. I had issues with my battery. I had to come out of the pocket to pay because the warranty that was covered, did not want to cover the warranty. I was able to be persistent contact the dealership they contacted this mechanic shop, and between both of them made magic happen. It was only two patients and pure customer care that I was able to get what I needed done and with minimal costs. I would definitely refer them to anybody.

I like this place and I feel they are honest. James is amazing always very helpful and they have great customer services. Availability is always quick and don't have to wait long. The only thing I would say is when you pick up your vehicle they provide you a long list of recommended maintenance and they review it with you. But the review sometimes does feel like you are being pressured to schedule an appointment. But overall, I will continue to bring my car here.

Everyone in this shop is super helpful and are nice enough to walk you through the whole process. I never felt like I was being cheated out of anything. They were honest from the beginning and do great follow ups!?? I would recommend this place as they also have warranty on anything they fix ?Services: General repairs & maintenance

I brought my car here for an oil change. The price was as advertised on the flyer that initially got me to try them out. They also offered a cleaning service for my gas tank, fuel injectors etc. Jenny was very helpful when I called and had questions prior to drop off. Car now feels great and I would gladly bring it to GIC again.Service: Oil change

The service at this shop was simply amazing. Jenny's recommendations was honest and I didn't feel like she was trying to sell me on services I didn't need. It was open communication through the whole process. I truly enjoyed the experience and I won't trust my car with anyone else.

I went to GIC to get new brakes and had them check my car for other existing problems. My car is nine years old and had never been serviced other than routine oil stops at Jiffys. They found a few issues and fixed them. I found this company to be competent and reliable. They also communicate well. I will definitely use them again in the future. It's great to have a neighborhood car service business that I can trust.
