Don’t go here.. $300 for used bikes the lady is rude. They don’t give away free bikes to homeless people in need. This is a scam store.

I had an excellent experience with Good Karma Bikes. My kids grew out of their 24" Trek Precalibers so after they upgraded I wanted to find a good place to donate the older rides - because they weren't doing any good for anyone sitting unused and taking up space in our garage. I found Good Karma Bikes online, reviewed their donation specs on the website to confirm they would take what we had, called (and listened to the recorded message reiterating what I already knew and pointing me back to the website) and I headed over. Good Karma Bikes couldn't be closer Diridon Station - they are directly across Montgomery Street from its picturesque front facade and lawn. Their showroom was full of high quality bicycles and others being lovingly restored. I brought our bikes inside and straightaway a very kind staff member told me they were both "lovely" and "they'll make 2 kids very happy." This filled my heart with joy and confirmed for me I was in the right place. She took some info, handed me my tax receipt and I was back on my way. Easy peasy. I love the work that the great employees and volunteers at Good Karma Bikes are doing. Amazing!

If you need a bike look no further! The team here refurbishes all types of bikes and cruisers! If you need a bike -even some high end mountain and road bikes -check out their selection. This is a great team that supports the community. If you need a bike or have one to donate (tax donation!) this is our go to! Check them out in their new location across from Dirdion Train station!

Before kids I did some road biking. 20 years later, and because of Covid and job, I was gettin' kind of sedentary. One day, I'm doom scrolling and looking at animal rescue videos on the internet, realized it was my dad's 95th birthday. I called him and said: Happy Birthday, how are you? He replied: Great! I just did 4 miles on my bike! After telling him FU old man, I suddenly realized I had no excuse for being an indolent slug. My ego demanded I get a custom built, titanium framed, Campagnolo equipped superbike, so that everyone at the Los Gatos Starbucks would think I'm a tech startup mogul. Only problem: I'm not a tech mogul, they cost $18,000 and I wasn't convinced I'd ride more than one day. New bikes online are also quite pricey. What a dilemma. Having coffee, I moseyed into Good Karma, and after trying out two or three bikes, and having the staff tweak them around a bit, I ended up with a lovely carbon framed Frankenbike, which I ride almost every day and 30+ miles on weekend. Been back on the Portola Loop for the first time in 25 years. I love it. Good Karma was utterly wonderful - they tweaked until we got it right. Super lovely, experienced, knowledgeable staff. And, I saved $17,400 that I'm now spending on bikey outfits! Remember: Spandex is a privilege, not a right. Good Karma is wonderful.

I was looking for a place to donate my bike and wasn't sure if it was even all that salvageable so I choose GKB because if they couldn't refurbish my bike they would recycle it for me! I was happy to find out they could refurbish it and they did so. They sell these bikes to people in need at a reasonable-or-better price. I love their mission. They were so helpful and it was easy to just walk in, show them the bike I wanted to donate, and walk out with a receipt. They clearly care about the community. They had lots of people in there for tune-ups and advice and offered all they could with no judgement.

I Semi-restord a 60's Schwinn Stardust to match my Stingray for my girlfriend to ride. New tires, polished chrome, new seat, polished paint but needed brakes and a tune up. Took it to Good Karma Dropped it off and was ready to pick up in a couple hours just in time for an afternoon cruise ?Very friendly, very professional, reasonable prices.DEFINITELY Recommend!

Good deals on second-hand bikes. There's a huge variety on the available type of bikes too. The staff member that helped me was super nice, patient, and didn't rush me at all. Amazing business.

We learned that GKB donates bikes to kids in need. Children can enjoy the simple things in life, like riding bikes. We planned to donate our son's bike after the Viva Calle Event, because he's grown out of it. Instead, at that moment, they were happy to swap his bike for one that suited him. They leveled his seat and made sure he had his bell. GKB has a wonderful family and community vibe. We are very thankful for such a wonderful experience. We will continue to donate our kid's outgrown bike and helping another child enjoy outdoor fun.

Spokes broke on my old cruiser rear wheel. Googled them up, went on down, they grabbed one out of the back, charged me a few bucks and I'm back on the road. Will be donating in the future.

I recently purchased a used bike from Good Karma Bikes and had a great experience. Kenneth, Lisa, and crew were friendly and helpful, and they took the time to make sure that I found the right bike for my needs. The bike was in great condition, and I'm very happy with my purchase. Here are some specific examples of what I liked about Good Karma Bikes:-The price was very reasonable. I got a great deal on a quality bike.-The shop was clean and well-organized. It was easy to find what I was looking for.-Purchasing from them is a way to support them providing free bicycle repair and education to low-income individuals and families in the San Jose area.-They showed me how to maintain key parts on my bike, and I feel more confident that I can now do important basic repairs on my own.I would highly recommend Good Karma Bikes to anyone looking for a used bike. They had a wide variety of bikes to choose from, and the staff was knowledgeable and trustworthy. I saw them valuing people having a positive biking experience more than profit, in line with their mission as a non-profit. I'm glad that I found Good Karma Bikes, and I would definitely use them again in the future.
