Convenient location for picking choosing some lunch bbq options to go take out for myself. Associates in store were polite attentive and clearly spoken. No issues or concerns. Store had other items carried for purchase besides bbq. No other services requested. I had came here alone myself for lunch and had used my own personal transportation.

Its a dingy looking establishment but the BBQ is what they are known for. Truth be told I burned better but then again I'm better than most of these joints come time for BBQ, anyhow their BBQ are seasoned with a little tumeric salt ,sugar. pepper paprika ,sage ,rosemary ,thyme and heavy on the cumin from what i can tell. But its not smoked instead its don in the old school rotisserie oven. Which pump out ribs beef and pork.( go pork more meatier and juicy beef is a little too dry and a bit off tasting with only a salt and pepper seasoning on the beef taste a little gamey.) thats why the price reflects beef for two or three ribs same as pork $6.50 pork is like $9.50 what a bargain right? Also there is chicken for $4.50 leg quarter huge. And there is tritip sandwich and turkey legs. All very reasonably priced if you are trying to get a BBQ fix in real quick then this will hit the spot. They have everything a convenience store have in regards to drinks and other knick knacks. I think the original owner he's caucasian and hired a few of my friends back in the days. Sold it for one point five million to an Indian or arab dude who does it until now. They are pretty cool too. But it definitely bangs for bucks they also have sides of potatoes salad or macaroni salad. They are located in San Jose next to the Japanese friendship garden and across from the ballpark.

This place is very nostalgic for me. My dad used to buy ribs here for us when we were kids. We loved chomping on the bones till we got every bit of meat off. And the flavor I would never forget. But that was in the 90s. Years later, this place is still here but my dad is no longer with us. One day I decided to get some myself as I was craving some good bbq over fond memories. Much to my disappointment, the flavor was not the same, nor the quality. Perhaps it was just my batch, idk. But the meat tasted very old and the bbq sauce isn't flavorful. Tasted like a diluted version. Maybe I'll try again another day.

BBQ here is honestly not worth it. The seasoning is way too salty. It's also not authentic BBQ. It's just convenient. The pork ribs were pretty tender and not bad. However, not authentic BBQ. Pretty good meat though. The beef ribs are too tough. The meat will get stuck in your teeth. Just not worth it. All expected, but still. It's whatever.
