It was great experience renting. I got almost a new car. One major improvement could be to have key drop box facility, otherwise it was a 10/10 for me.

Very friendly staff - especially Alexander. They were also accommodating with dropping the car off at the auto body shop where my own car was parked, saving me time and effort.

Experience in short:1) got my replacement car here instead of in Hertz @Crowne Plaza Milpitas (no longer exist, being misguided by Hertz phone agent) on Aug 30th, 20232) picked up a reasonable same grade vehicle and a document was provided, stating 100% fuel provided but wasn't mentioned by the Manager Associate. (which I wasn't aware of)3) car had only 72 miles to go and a bit more than quarter of a tank.4) went back to talk to the Manager Associate and was told to return as it is to SFO (where the rental started) as there was no facilities nearby to fill up the tank; took a business card from Manager Associate.5) took pic of the dashboard, just in case.6) Dropped off car at SFO and took pic of the dashboard and waited for 15 minutes to talk to the agent about the fuel level at SFO with no results.7) a day later, got charged with $354 for fuel and related charges (which was not clearly explained by any of the agents) and the amount was over the authorised amount as stated in contract.8) followed up with complaints to Hertz, waited 10 days for the first reply of email, replied with all evidence9) complaint responded quickly by Hertz customer service via email and the amount was refunded within 5 days.Suggestions (if you want to get a vehicle in this Hertz location):1) READ carefully all the document that was given.2) TAKE pictures of the dashboard and of anything that you are concerned with before and after3) TAKE a business card of the person you are talking to4) INSIST on getting the vehicle fully filled with fuel (or check against the document to ensure correctness) to avoid any time that would have spent on all the following ups.

Great experience here, got the car no issues the manager (didn't get his name but he was vietnamese) even help get me a ride home after I returned the rental, I thought only enterprise does this? I would definitely rent here again.

Like the other reviewers, my credit card was wrongly charged. I don't know why but for some reason I decided to look at my previous month's credit card transactions. I was shocked to see a $200 charge, but what made it super shady is that it didn't show up until 3-4 weeks after I returned the rental car! Does Hertz sneak in these charges hoping people won't notice?!?!I called the auto repair shop that returned my rental car. They called Hertz and the Hertz employee claimed they didn't receive the rental car for 3 days. So the auto repair shop named the employee who took the car back. Hertz took a couple of days to straighten their story out. Then it took another couple of weeks for them to reverse the charge. They wasted so much of everybody's time and effort. Never coming back here!

A local hertz rental location which is only minutes away from SJC airport that will save you all the high airport tax and fees from renting at airport. Best customer service. Everyone was so nice here, Fahiem and Zewdu were great help !

Come and ask for Fahiem. He helped us greatly and it was the best customer service! He was professional, helpful, and super fast! You will not be disappointed! And I’ve been to many rental car services

Horrible selection of rentals. My insurance company made a reservation but when I got here they didn't have cars and I was made to wait all morning. I'm still waiting now for a vehicle. I will never use them again and I hope this helps others not make this mistake.

I came to Hertz after dropping my car off at the auto body shop. The associate that helped me on this particular day was kind. She asked me if I wanted insurance on the car and I DECLINED, since my personal auto insurance was paying for the rental and extending insurance to the rental as well, so there was no need for insurance from Hertz. When I returned a few days later to drop off the car, the same associate greeted and helped me out. I was shocked to learn that I was being charged for insurance. I reminded the same associate that I had DECLINED insurance. She then proceeded to tell me that I had requested insurance when I picked up the car -- to which I reminded her, again, that I had, in fact, declined insurance because the car was being paid for by my personal auto insurance. She attempted to remove the charges but was unable to do so. She called her district manager in front of me and told her manager that I had "suddenly changed my mind about insurance on the rental." That was, of course, false. She then told me I could call Hertz Corporate OR my credit card company to dispute the charges. Throughout this whole interaction I remained calm as I patiently waited and expected some resolution. There was, unfortunately, no resolution and no accountability was taken for the mistake that was made on their end. Furthermore, the experience was the complete opposite from the initial experience. Suffice to say, I was utterly disappointed and quietly walked out. I did, however, call Hertz Corporate to seek some resolution. After multiple calls and roundabouts, I was able to speak to an associate and they were able to remedy the situation and refund me the full amount. I profusely thanked them for their support and for rectifying this issue. Overall, the initial pick up experience was okay, the drop-off was subpar, and I don't intend on returning to this location.

Worst customer service EVER!! Had to stand on line for 45 minutes. Then I was told to move out of the line and go back to the Thrifty line. The represent on the phone said to got to Hertz line. The assistants were the rudest EVER! What ever happened to customer service! I would give zero stars, but the system requires a rating. Ruined my damn day!

Angel is the man, his customer service skills was on point. Made me feel good about my rental and was helpful. Mike the detail man gave me a ride home after I returned my rental. Thanks again Hertz.

Poor service.I had reservation, came on the taxi from Airport. The tellers apologized and informed that they don't have any available car for me and just turned me away. They didn't want to assist and contact customer service. They didn't contacted the airport hub to provide any available car from there.Disgusting experience. I knew that Hertz is the worst rental company, today I finally confirmed that.

Horrible they call me the day of my rental tell me they have no vehicles, but when you still go online they are showing they have cars, and then don’t send me a refund till I call them the next week and ask..
