The hotel is located in the quiet downtown core of San Jose. I can imagine during events it can be busy but most of the time it is rather quiet. Rooms are large and have been updated with newer items and fresh coat of paint but can tell it's an older building, nothing wrong with that except for the sounds. Even numbered rooms will face the landing path of flights to SJC, you can hear them throughout the day and into the late evening. The gym is well stocked with the basics and the pool/hot tub are nice but to not have a heated outdoor pool it makes it hard to utilize and enjoy. The biggest flaw in a hotel room, was the lack of a wake up call service. While the service did exist, I had called the night prior to set a wake up call before my early morning flight, however the call never came. If I were to rely on this call to wake up, I'd have missed my flight. Whether it was entered wrong into the system by front desk staff or never entered, who knows.Overall, the hotel is nice and comfortable but I think other hotels are worth a stay.Rooms: Rooms have been updated with newer items but you can tell the rooms are older. The room is quiet but you can easily hear people in the hallway. The room is large with more than enough space. The bathroom is smaller but fits everything needed. The shower head isn't very powerful and I found hot water hard to come by.Food & drinks: The restaurant on-site has fantastic staff who will look after you but the issue with the restaurant is it's quite expensive. For breakfast its $5 for regular coffee and $7 for a glass of juice. Your email will easily come to be $30 plus tip and tax. While the food is good, it doesn't need to be this expensive. Breakfast is not included by default but some rates will include a $30 credit for breakfast.Noteworthy details: The hotel is right in the flight path of landing flights at SJC, can hear them throughout the day and into the evening with the late arrivals.

This hotel is absolutely atrocious. I cannot overstate my will to avoid this place, and I strongly suggest you do the same. Let state my two biggest qualms first and foremost. The elevator system seems like it was designed by a kid who's just begun his endeavor to master the art of assembling Linkin Logs. I don't know how I have to state this in 2023 but it is not a good idea to input the desired arrival floor before entering the elevator. During busy events, expect to wait 15 minutes during downtimes. During peak hours, expect the elevators, of which there are only 3, to stop working altogether. 45 minute wait during peak hours has been my experience. My second qualm is that, in literally the most expensive room in the hotel, there was an inexplicable, loud hissing sound coming from the walls. It made it impossible to sleep. I'll also say that the staff is generally not very accommodating if you need extra blankets or any help.Avoid this place if you can. Marriott next door seems fine, and though I haven't stayed at it yet, I have lounged in the rooms for hours, and I'll try them next time.

Location:It’s in Downtown San Jose. The train is across the street. Convention center is here.Parking:The parking garage is for guests and employees only. Convention parking is next door. $39 per day.Check in:Be sure to digitally check in on the app the day before to select your room. Our digital key was ready at noon before 4pm check in.Elevators:It’s all digital. You type where you want to go from the outside. There are no buttons inside. The elevator automatically lights up to tell you which one you’re going on.Rooms:We got a king bed with a pull out couch. It has a fridge, safe, large closet, full length mirror. Everything you need in a hotel.Overall, clean, has a nice bar. I wish they offered free continental breakfast. There’s a concession store that sells everything at a high price.

Recently stayed at the Hilton downtown in San Jose - great service, comfortable bed, great location and probably the best spicy margarita I’ve ever had - served at the bar. Staff was super nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is directly attached to the convention center with direct access from the lobby. It is all one would expect from a Hilton hotel in downtown San Jose (including the price tag) - a very nice, well managed hotel with very friendly staff. Underground parking is available.

I stay at this Hilton frequently for business. Yesterday, during my stay, my mother in law was involved in a TERRIBLE accident which cut my stay short. I reached out to the Hilton and received the coldest, snappiest and tasteless responses from someone named Roger.I didn’t even ask for anything past potential support in recouping the 1 of 2 days stay even though I literally only stayed at the hotel for 3 hours (providing news articles of the accident because it was that terrible AND medical documentation). If you can’t do 1 comped night based on the money spent and unused due to circumstances out of my control (which I doubt) that’s fine, but lacking empathy, understanding, or human decency makes this place trash in my eyes now.UPDATE: I received a call from Nicole (the manager on duty) and she actually approached me with what felt like genuine human decency and empathy. That is all I could ask for in a situation like this. Thank you Nicole

I have been to this hotel many times but this is the first time staying there. The staff at the front desk were extremely friendly and courteous. After getting to my room I noticed that I was missing washcloths and there was an issue with the toilet. I talked to the front desk and before I knew it, people had shown up at my room to address both issues. I appreciated that they worked so quickly to rectify both issues. The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. The bed was really comfortable. The hotel is located within walking distance of a lot of great restaurants and attractions. It's also about 10 minutes from San Jose Airport. Overall, I felt like I experienced the great level of customer service that I expect from a Hilton hotel.

Awesome one night stay at the San Jose Hilton. I had to tell the folks at the front desk that after many years of traveling the world on business, that was the best sleep I have ever had in a hotel. Excellent experience. Thank you ALL so very much! BTW ... Everyone at the Front Desk was Outstanding and helped me sooo much! Also, I had breakfast in the Cafe and that was wonderful. Both the service as well as the food!
