I used to shop at the Junior section. I have not shopped at Pennys in 10 yrs. I went in today after so many years n walk out w/nothing. Who would want to shop there? Everything is polyester n acrylic etc. the style is for mamas and nanas? No wonder they are not doing well. They need to change the buyer. I rather shop at Zara or TJ Max/Marshall. Their quality and style is so behind. Same with Sears.

I have gotten my photos done at JcPenney plenty of times in the past and I value their work and pricing. I scheduled my appt for 4:45pm, which the website allowed me to do (they close at 5pm) and was there on time. They were running a little behind so we had to wait as there is only one studio and one photographer, which is understandable. When my family and I got ready for our session, the photographer stated that since it was past 5 o clock, the session would be quick which I was not happy about since we did get there on time and I was allowed to make an appt at 4:45pm; why should I now have to be rushed since they were running behind schedule. She later corrected herself and apologized because she assumed we were late for our session. I still believe she was ready to go and was not enthusiastic in making our experience a good one. She did take some decent photos so I can't complain about that, it was just our first interaction which rubbed me the wrong way. Anthony, then took care of us and went through our photos and helped me chose cards to order. He was very informative and I did not feel rushed through that process. They are very strict about appts - someone showed up at 5:15 and they could not accommodate so be mindful of that.

Can I give less than one star? I purchased a dining room set from Penneys for over $1200. I have had this set for less than 2 weeks and everything was fine until this morning. I came into the room and there was a 2-1/2 inch crack on the top of the back of one of the chairs. Penney's wants a $125 restocking fee and a $95 return fee because I did not report this within 24 hours of delivery. So they do not stand behind the producet. I've been on hold for over 25 minutes -- still waiting to talk to supervisor. DO NOT BUY FROM PENNEYS. Do not buy Signature Design by Ashley Realyn 5 piece dining set.

While I get that the holiday season is stressful for anyone working for retail, there's no excuse to be extremely rude. This guy at the window/home department is a good example of that. He did look a bit stressed while we were approaching his counter, he looked up & told us to "go ahead, go ahead" so we placed our items on the counter. We asked if he could check the price of our items first & he rolled his eyes. He told us the price & when my mom decided she didn't want it, he, again, rolled his eyes & went about with his work. I came back about 20mins later, looking for some other items in the same department & I saw him in the same counter, looking all pleasant & chatty with other customers. Did we happen to ask for help at a wrong time? Would we be treated the same if we were to check out 20 mins later? Who knows?

I want to say that I enjoy this JCPENNEY store which I discovered about three weeks ago. But even MORE SO after TODAY My story is that there were boots there that I loved BUT they were on sale - buy them at full price and get TWO pairs of shoes free. An amazing sale was going on there last weekend and still right now. But, anyway, because I will be moving soon, I could not take the extra pairs of shoes. Matica and her manager worked it out so that I got the boots at a discount without having to take the other shoes. Matica was so good at understanding my problem and made sure that it could be solved with her manager. The day gets BETTER AGAIN because of Matica!!! I had left my wallet on the counter there and did not realize it until quite a while later at Macy's. I ran back to JCPENNEY and LO AND BEHOLD Matica had placed my wallet behind the counter. It was -still open- as I had left it - everything was there as I then expected. I nearly fainted with joy I was so utterly relieved Matica is the best!!!! Her managers were also excellent! But, I have found all the staff I have dealt with there very pleasant and helpful. Wow - what a gift Matica and managers were for me todayI highly recommend this store. It is kept clean, organized and has a really nice stuff. It has good parking too.

I have been a loyal customers of JcPenny for over 20 years. Everytime when I need to add new curtains to my home, I thought of JcPenny. However, due to JcPenny's store location and return policy and fees, I want to share my frustration with your return process. First of all, you cannot charge your customers $8 for each item to be returned. Most big retail companies now have partnership with retail locations to drop off their returns. Your company should consider that. Secondly, you need to be clear on your company policy on returns that each item will cost your customer $8 per return if they cannot physically return to the storey. Lastly, you need to be considerate that no all items can fit into one box because of different dimensions. And your customer service rep gave me the wrong answer that all items returned will just be $8. Imagine if you were in my shoes. Thank you for your consideration.
