I ventured east to this location in Downtown San Jose for lunch today. I ordered the Carne Asada Super Burrito which I promptly inhaled. A super burrito is beans, rice, fresh salsa, cheese, guac, sour cream, and protein. It was accompanied by a fascinatingly spicy, flavourful orange sauce. I picked up a bottle of this sauce to take home with me.

I tested their crispy quesadilla back in 2010 and I still believe it is the best one that I have ever had. You cannot find such a thing elsewhere.Food: 5/5

I had ordered their steak super nachos a week ago. What I got was a plate of soggy, greasy slop. I've had super nachos from many different places, but this stuff was disgusting. Their orange sauce is ok, but that's about it. Won't order from them again.

Orange sauce is beyond amazing. Literally makes all the food taste 100x better. Actual food quality is meh tho. Breakfast burritos is prob the best item on the menu imo

Came here after a show at the SAP center. We got there just in time because after we arrived, more people came. We got the chicken super burrito and carne asada super burrito. And to drink some horchata. Food came out fairly quickly considering how busy they were. Without even having to say, but will the orange sauce makes the burritos taste even better! Highly enjoyed the burritos and horchata :)

Growing up in San Jose, I've learned one thing and it's to never trust someone who puts disrespect on La Vic's. This place is a San Jose treasure and its orange sauce easily tops my list as one of the greatest local cuisine innovations of our time.La Vic's is one of the reasons I wake up in the morning proud to live in this city.

I needed some burritos to feed some staff members but had to do an early 9 am pick up. I was able to place the order online and schedule it to be ready when I needed them the night before. The online ordering process was easy and fast. I was able to use ApplePay which made it even quicker. I received texts and emails confirming the order and I was able to find street parking (paid by meter) to pick up. My order was ready to go and they asked if I needed sauces (of course). They hooked it up with several of their famous orange sauce and their other salsas (a green one and pico de gallo). I ordered asada, al pastor, grilled chicken & chile verde so I can offer a variety. Everyone really enjoyed the burritos and they stayed warm when they were finally eaten at noon. My husband is really particular about his burritos and he was very pleased and said he would definitely eat here again. Only thing is we would have liked black beans best and for it to come with chips for those amazing & spicy sauces!

Came on a Fri night for a quick bite. Not busy at all around 4pm. Amicable staff, fairly quick service. The torta was okay, not the best nor the worst. Bread was a little on the burnt side but the shredded chicken was moist and good and the red sauce is a good addition.90 minute free parking within walking distance at the city parking garage. Bathroom available.

We were looking for an early morning snack after the world cup final at san Pedro square. La Vic was open and I had their breakfast taco which was very filling. Friend had super burrito which is a really good deal. Good, cheap mexican food.

La Vic's is one of the better choices if you're around San Pedro Square. They are famous for their orange sauce which is a bit garlicky for me, I prefer their green sauce. For a taqueria, they are on the more expensive side averaging about 40% more than other San Jose taquerias possibly due to its location. Your other nearby "Mexican " choices though are the Chipotle across the street or Taco Bell around the corner. Clearly, La Vic's is superior to these other options. My favorites are the chicken flautas, super burrito, and the quesadilla.

Came here after the Turkey Trot. Very crowded and we waited around 45 mins for our food. Food is excellent and the orange sauce is ?. Worth the wait. There are two private restrooms; ask an employee for a key.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian breakfast and lunch options (tacos, burritos). Not sure about vegan items (orange sauce is vegan).

I ordered a steak super burrito with the orange sauce. I was so hungry I did not take any pictures. First of all, the burrito is not the best out there and I've had plenty that are better. It's the sauce that makes you get lost. The sauce makes everything 10 times better. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. The restaurant is decent size and has plenty of seating. They are pretty clean and have restrooms available for customers.
