A great selection of Japanese stationery and novelty items! We enjoy going and looking around, even if there's nothing we actually need.

Customer service is lacking, unfortunately. I drove specifically to this store for 30 minutes for a reason. They were closing and the cashier lady was really rushing us out, so much so that she didn’t give me one of the items I planned to purchase. Pretty disappointing. Not a cheap store, yet very cheap service.

This place is great for someone who scrapbooks or journals a lot. They have a variety of cute kawaii stationary, random knick knacks, notebook and paper to choose from. Little pricey but overall a cool little stationary store with Asian inspired items. The service wasn't anything memorable or bad, they checked me out quick.

After a night of boba Guys I walked in these neat store. They have a no drink or food policy, but they have a cool little area to leave your drinks and food while you shop. The place was well organized and easy to navigate. The prices were reasonable, and they have a wide selection of items. The people there were friendly and knowledgeable about where everything was and exactly what they had in store for you to buy.

A great place to find hip and trendy Japanese and Asian art, writing and sketching supplies as well as a selection of anime character goods. Washi tape, mechanical pencils, art and fountain pens are all available here and a great selection of colored inks. You'll likely find something you "need" here, even if you didn't know it before you entered the store!

Exhaustive options with lovely staff. Frank is your man for fountain pens and ink. He is honest about the ink properties and how some pens behave. I called up, checked the availability and went over. They're happy to let you know if an item is in stock over the phone. We bought a yellow platinum preppy (fairly inexpensive pen) which comes with a yellow cartridge but asked if they would swap out the yellow for a black cartridge. They let us keep the yellow cartridge and then gave us two additional black cartridges for free. We tipped a $1 more for the spare cartridges.

Two weeks ago, my partner and I visited this store, hoping to buy some blind boxes. I found a blind bag on display that I wanted, and a male employee with longer hair offered to go see if they had any more boxes of that series in top stock, as there weren't any for sale near the entrance. Unfortunately, there were no more of the blind bags available to sell, but he offered to grab us another blind box from top stock, to which we chose a box from the HeyDolls KIKI Cat Condo series.Though it was pretty expensive, sitting at $21.95 before tax, I was so happy with the purchase that I came back yesterday to purchase another. When I went to go look for an associate that could help me get another blind box, I saw two women behind the cash register that weren't working as cashier, sitting around. I asked one if she could help me get another blind box, and she rudely said, "Ugh, we're not allowed to sell those ones yet." So I responded, "But I got one here two weeks ago..." then she rolled her eyes and ignored me.I'm not sure if she was just being lazy, preoccupied with another task on her laptop, or having a bad day. But seeing as we were able to get the blind box I requested a couple weeks ago, she was obviously lying to avoid getting on the ladder to grab me another blind box. I love this store and visit it rather often, so it hurts to be treated so poorly with no reason when I'm a somewhat regular customer.

This is such a cute Japanese stationery store. There is so much packed in this store and so many pens to choose from. If you're looking for Japanese gifts this would be the place! It goes pretty far back and everything was well organized. The prices are pretty affordable, I bought two pens for around $5 which is not bad considering those pen brands are hard to find outside of Japan. I saw there was a little station to put your drinks down before you venture off in the store. I'd love to come back for more cute gifts and stationary.

maido is a great shop, with the cutest items, but the workers at this location lower the experience. i've visited other maido locations and have never experienced rudeness like the one @ this location. they use language to belittle customers and are not helpful. i wouldn't recommend this location, support other stationary shops in the area.

Service was horrible, we asked if there were sonny angels in stock since they had a sign that said to ask the counter for sonny angels. Once we asked the workers there (KINDLY), the lady proceeded to give us attitude and pointed slowly and condescendingly at another sign we HADNT seen earlier that said "Sonny Angel out of stock", as if we were STUPID. Like girl... it's still 11am, someone woke up on the wrong side of bed.... anyway. We didn't need to be given an attitude since we weren't being rude... we just did as the signs told us. SORRY if we were given different instructions, next time we promise to look at ALL the signs in the store before asking a worker for help that way we won't bother them so much.

I hope this place never closes because it would significantly decrease Santana Row's appeal. Staff is always friendly and helpful and it's my go-to place to find heartfelt gifts for friends and family, although prices can sometimes be on the higher side.
