The last time I reviewed a McDonald's,I gave them a pretty good review. I was excitedabout improvements they made.Their service, I find, always very good.Their food, has been on the mark. People seem to always gripe about unhealthy fast food, but, I think there is a lot of hypocrisy there. Why?It's not rocket science to see, that when you stand in line, waiting to place an order, that, there is a line. Whenever, you're at a mall, and, there's a McDonald's at the Food Court, check out to see, which restaurant has the longest line. In fact, which restaurant, even has a line? It's always the McDonald's. I feel sorry for the others (restaurants). I see the caterers standingthere, waiting patiently . . . like, someone sittingin a boat fishing, and, waiting, for that perverbialfirst bite . . even a nibble, would do. And, yet, nothing. In the meanwhile, anxious (McDonald's), customers, are being processed through the line, like a canning factory. Even, old Henry Ford, (if he were alive today), I bet, would be impressed by McDonald's output.People just can't wait, to eat that, so-called junkfood, that, McDonald's is serving. But, I have to say, in McDonald's defence, that, they are just serving, what the public wants. And, when all your 40,000 restaurants, are pulling in a whopping $6 billion/yr. profit, can you blame them. And, this is after they've covered their $17 billion, in operating costs. And, this, is the surprising thing, they servenutritious food as well. The milk, I get there is1%. It doesn't get any healthier than that. And the 'Fish Felet, should provide your iodine dietary requirement. The coffee, I find, is always fresh. If, you were to go to a regular diner, chances are, you're likely, and, disappointingly, to get a stale, ranced, Luke-warm, cup of coffee. And,get socked almost $4, for it. And, to make matters worst, the cashier, follows up, with, "Oh! but be sure and have a nice day!" The audacity!I say.If everybody in the world . . or, so it wouldseem, is head over heels for McDonald's junk food, is this a lemming's attribute? Then, I thinkMcDonald's has short circuited that view, byproviding some healthy alternatives. In fact, I'dlike to see some healthy cereal thrown in there, for another, even if subtle, alternative. It, would show their competitors, that they have no mercy . . Ha! And, just remember, on that coffee subject . . where can you get a senior coffee, for 97¢? And many McD's, offer a free refill, plus 5 packs of sugar, and, 3 cream, no less - if that fits yourfancy. But, I do have one pet piece with McD's,but, it's not regarding their food. It's the internetservice. If McDonald's has an 'Achille's Heel,' this would be it. But, maybe McD's has a reason for this . . and/or, they just don't care. With their kind of profit, it would be obvious. If you have to charge your cell phone,and/or, you want good internet service, then, you've come to the wrong place, by going to McDonald's. Best, to go to Panera, or, Starbuck's. I'm sure there maybe other choices, but, I've found these are good mainstay, alternatives. And Panera - though their pricesare up there, a bit, has great sour dough French Bread; lots of pastry; soft couches; a good array of electrical outlets; a rewards program too; very friendly service, and, get this, a microwave. How bout that?
