This store is clean and well stocked. However, my cashier, Hermelinda was talking in Spanish to the bagger as she rang up customers. I wasn't paying much attention until I heard her refer to the woman ahead of me as having "the face of a dog". I guess she assumed white customers wouldn't understand her. I'm now realizing she probably talks about everyone she checks out. I won't be back any time soon.

SUPER clean and orderly. New Manager and its reflected in how much better the store has become since. The store is not only well put together, but the staff is always willing to help. Would not hesitate to recommend this Lucky Store at this location.

Older white hair lady is super rude. She made us use self checkout with a full cart of groceries because we were not buying alcohol. She happily rang up customers who were buying alcohol. Also the self-checkout as usual stopped working and I needed assistance, she proceeded to walk by us, noticed we needed help, made a comment under her breath, and went to help a customer at the register who I guess she was okay with helping. I would love for management to reach out to me regarding this because there is a lot of grocery stores out here and I will not be returning.

This Lucky's has a great selection of items but the thing that makes me regret shopping her is how rotten and mean some of the workers are. I try not interact with the employees as little as possible. The produce stalkers are some of the rudest workers ever. A self checkout worker raised his voice at me over asking if they take recycling. Some of the employees really need to leave their personal stuff at home. Terrible shopping experience never going back and never spending my money at this location.

I can't comment on much here as I mostly come for some refreshments when I go on walks and it's hot outside. It's a supermarket, on the average side, not particularly cheap. Just average. If you need basic food, there you go. They have a small selection of still bottled water, so I usually end up buying alkaline water even though I know it's BS. Maybe it's just in my head but I swear it does taste better. They have a nice selection of bottle kombucha, too, and so far I've been able to try new flavors every time. Drinking kombucha makes me feel healthy, even though it's got plenty of sugar. Parking is very easy thanks to the giant lot, and if you want some Chinese or Thai food, or pizza, or coffee, the shopping center has those bases covered too.

I came across this location from mail, decided to check it out and it's a great store with great deals. I have a lot more seafood options and a full freezer

This place is not friendly at all.. I noticed that it's a ton of OLDER unhappy people. Friday I was at self checkout and needed an item to be removed and TODD just let out a huge sigh when I asked him if he could help me in doing so. He walked away when he was done and didn't even acknowledge me and say I'm done you can finish nothing. It's a very unhappy over priced place. Won't be coming here anymore.

Not the greatest Lucky store! Cashiers/crew are not helpful at all. Most of the time, they don't even say "Hello" until you say hello to them!

This review is for Lucky store at Redmond and Meridian in San JoseI was at store 2 days ago. I needed bread and saw milddew and mold on the sandwich bread and told the clerk to remove from the shelf. I then bought 2 containers of blue berry. My daughter tried to use them to day. Both of them are very bad. They also have mildew and mold.My recommend that you would check every item at this particular Lucky store before buying it. If you decide to buy it then you need to use it immediately

I will never forget my experience in Lucky on Meridian Ave today. My husband and I went to the Lucky on Meridian Ave. to buy a watermelon with a rain check. It was on sale last week for $2.77 each, but they were sold out when we went. The cashier, Todd, charged us $2.99 and I thought he just misread it. My husband said, "Excuse me, I believe the rain check says $2.77." He looked at the rain check and ignored what my husband said. My husband repeated himself and the cashier checked the rain check a second time and still had no reaction. We assumed that he was insisting that it was $2.99 because the person who wrote the rain check had a line through the sevens, making them look somewhat like nines, so we just paid. Before exiting the store, we changed our minds to go back and talk to him again. He said, "I can't hear customers well through their masks and when they cannot speak English well." We were shocked at this experience, especially since my husband was born and raised here as a second generation of Asian immigrants and speaks English fluently. The cashier had long conversations with the 2 customers in front of us so apparently he could hear them clearly through their masks. We are pretty disappointed about how we were treated and want to share our bad experience.

I order a cake for my daughter's birthday and it exceeded my expectations. It was easy to order (just 2 days in advance) and all the employees were very nice. Thank you to Maria who got my order and Kelly who did an amazing and delicious cake!!!!!!

I have never had an experience like I did today in a grocery store. I was in the store for a total of 5 minutes with my 3 month old service dog in training and the only time I interacted with staff was when two employees insisted that he was not allowed in grocery stores. When I proceeded to tell them he was a service animal they consistently told me that he couldn't be here and then asked for his training certificate or any papers that proved he was a service animal. I calmly explained to them that ADA laws disclose that I do not have to require proof of training and or disclose my disability. The workers then proceeded to tell me that I did not have to be rude and that I should provide a vest or something that says he's a service animal. I understand their concerns, but they way the workers approached and handled the situation was so beyond disrespectful. This is my second service animal and have never had someone treat me or my animal like this. Moral of my story I will not be returning to this establishment.

Super clean. Friendly staff. Zero oat milk in stock the aisles were clean and easily accessible. My only complaint was the safe distance set up for exiting the building. It seemed counter intuitive, almost making it impossible to navigate toward the exit doors with safe distance. I think this strategy needs to be improved. I will amend my review after repeated visits after the SIP. I dint think it's fair to give a poor review in such an extraordinary time unless safe distance and cleanliness rules are ignore. Here, the rules aren't ignored, just not as efficiently implemented as they could be.

Do NOT go here. They sell expired goods! I rarely shop here and the last time I did, I noticed that the beer and soda I purchased was expired!

Lucky is not my usual neighborhood grocery store. But I needed to pick something up so I stopped by there and was immediately impressed with how clean it was. I also think it's really cute that they use those old 70s labels as aisle markers, but there is one major problem in this place: the girl at the checkstand was, hands down, one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in a service position. After asking whether or not the store uses a club card she replied AND I QUOTE "you know what? It's my biggest pet peeve when customers ask that question. I mean, even if we did use a club card what do you expect me to do about it?". I was in such shock I literally didn't know how to respond. There needs to be some serious customer service training at this place.
