Knowledge is power! Dr. Newman caught my cancer before it became a problem! Also got me back after a treat in my rotator cuff without any surgery! He knows healing....

My husband was made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the way Dr. Newman handled himself with his 'student Dr staff'.We paid a co-pay for my husband to go have a check up, and then when my husband called the office requesting a prescription refill he was charged again. We then received a bill for a 'no show' visit charge, in which my husband has no recollection of scheduling that appointment. When he attempted to contact the office and discuss it fell on deaf ears with no follow up, and we continued to receive past due invoicing.I called their offices and it went straight to their after hours message so I finally ended emailed the billing company stating our dissatisfaction and frustration which was met with a snarky and passive aggressive email with copies of documents my husband had signed from Chelsea ending with "I hope today is swell".At least Dr. Newman waived the charge in question. But we still NEVER heard from anyone to speak about it.Where did the human-ness go from doctors offices?!

I broke my neck almost 4 years ago now and have been trying to find a doctor to really understand what I've been going through and help me get my pain managed. Previous doctors have always told me I'm young and that it will go away but not Dr. Newman. He has also had a cervical fracture and knew exactly what was needed. I left the office feeling the best I've felt in a long time thanks to him and his team!

Dr. Newman and his team are incredible! Chelsea(I apologize if I’m butchering your name), Joshua, and his two students were very helpful and answered all of my questions. Thanks again doctor I truly appreciate everything you’ve done for me.

I called the office to schedule an appointment virtually because I was experiencing vertigo symptoms. The office staff was very nice and efficient I had to fill out paper work online and was sent an email that day to have my first virtual appointment with Dr. Newman and his team. The Doctor gave me a list of this to do to ease my vertigo symptoms and follow that included exercise and medication until I felt better. He also ordered lab test for me and I was seen in his office a week later and was treated with ear cleaning of wax build up I had and they did a hearing test and gave me my results. Also I should say, Dr.Newman has interns I believe or Doctors that work along side him that he is guiding and teaching so when you go in you are greeted by them as well in your visit. I appreciate that he is teaching them to remember the little things like explaining the lab test I will be getting in simple terms that I would understand and not using terminology that would go over right over my head. You can tell he is a great doctor who actually cares about his patients and makes you feel comfortable and welcoming. The other doctors working along side him are lucky and even blessed to have a doctor like Dr.Newman to guide and teach them that the importance of being a doctor is caring for your patient as a person not like some obeject you want to have in and out of your office. You really do feel appreciated and loved here. I 100% Recommend.

Dr Walter Newman was a joy to meet. I came in for tingling in hands and feet and left feeling so much better. His receptionist is the absolute best. I called the same day and they were able to get me in last minute because I thought it was very serious. Thank you to his wonderful team for a great visit to the doctor. I will definitely come back

Dr. Walt has shown me a high level of compassion proven knowledge over the past 10 years that I've known him. He is the best at giving advice when a serious illness arises. In my case, it was cancer. He kept me feeling so positive! Dr. Newman also has had my 2 sons as patients for several years. Regarding another post about a $75 "no show" fine, my son's fine was waived when he explained that he got mixed up with the date. I highly recommend Dr. Newman UNLESS you are a substance abuser or smoker who is not trying to quit. He is very serious about his patients taking care of their health. The last visit I had with Dr. Newman, he was in a wheelchair recovering from a broken neck that caused paralysis. He still sees patients and is top-notch at giving great advice.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! On my first two visits, I never got to meet Dr. Newman but his assistant Ian. Each session I had to talk to Ian, waiting for him to discuss with Dr. Newman in private before getting back to me with the diagnosis. After my 2nd appointment, I got a call saying that Dr. Newman needed to see me directly as Ian didn't communicate to me the correct info. I talked to the nurse that i would only go if no copay required as I decided to seek for another family doctor for face-to-face diagnosis. They adviced me to come anyways due to the possibile misinformation from my last visit and no copay was charged. 6 months later (few days ago), I received a bill for late payment. When I called to seek for more info, the nurse was not helpful at all (telling me her job was just to get the bill resolved and if I used doctor's time I had to pay) and that Ian had no time to talk to me on this neither. I will send the cheque to them but am disappointed and shocked on how I am treated as a patient and the unprofessionalism of this clicnic and doctor can be. Sharing my experience to other potential patients and hopefully Dr. Newman/Ian themselves can be aware of this situation. This in fact was the worst experience I ever had with any doctor!

Dr. Newman is an experienced physician who has been able to diagnose my health issues after many other doctors failed. He pinpointed my source of debilitating headaches (borderline hypertension) and within 2 weeks of blood pressure medication, my headaches were gone. He is well-read on the latest medicine and takes into account family history, and current health concerns, before prescribing action. In a separate issue, Dr. Newman's vast network of physicians enabled him to refer me to a surgeon who specialized in a relatively uncommon procedure I required. I trust Dr. Newman and his experience. If you value substance over style (I personally like his style) then Dr. Newman is the go-to physician for you.

First time seeing Dr. Newman today, and was very satisfied with the entire visit. Instead of getting all the things I originally "asked" for, he asked me many questions (which is the best thing a doctor should do in the first visit) that allowed me to have a deeper understanding of what I need. Realized at the end that I only need about 1/3 of my requests, and probably ended up saving at least a hundred dollars. Highly recommended. The receptionists were also very professional and helpful.

Dr. Newman has been my doctor for over 3 years. I am moving to the Sacramento area and hope to find another great doctor. First, my experiences with the staff were top notch. Chelsea has been super friendly and efficient, and before her Jason was always pleasant and helpful. Dr. Newman took excellent care of me. He's there to fix your problem, not baby you and just give you handfuls of drugs! He took care of a small problem right there in his surgery room, diagnosed a collar bone and a neck pain issue without sending me through the Xray/MRI/ pain in the neck run around and a few others. Also, he was always happy to head to the office and show me info on the internet about my condition and fully explain what the heck is best for me. The complaints are probably a generational issue with the 20 - 40 somethings still thinking they get a trophy if they lose! Wake up people!

I was charged $75 for a NO SHOW!? They said they have called,or the computer generated 2 calls, but I never received it. I agree it's our responsibility to remember my appointment time, but reminder is fairly important for me, let just say, I don't trust their computer at all. Never feel good since day 1 visiting this office, it's been 2 years this NO SHOW fee just made me decided to leave... customer service - not friendly doctor - not caring
