This service is out to protect their merchants and don’t care about their end users. Some scammers were billing me incorrectly so I raised an alert with them and my cases were all denied with zero clarification or justification.In future I plan to use my Amex card for all payments as Amex places their clients first and are quick to resolve incidents

ATROCIOUS customer service. Was on the phone over 1 hour, more than once. All i needed was either a check reissued or credit towards my account, literally a 5 or 10 minute max process. Backstory: I requested a check for credit i had received from Google, since the check from PayPal was now over 180 days it was considered stale dated by the bank or void. So i called to have the check either reissued or credit placed on my account. Had to call multiple times, spent too much time on hold and being transferred. Reps said things like "ask your bank to issue a check" or "our checks are good for a year" which I yelled "clearly not if on the check itself it says void after 180 days, I am looking at the copy!!" How can you hire employees who are so clearly incompetent? What the hell has happened to PayPal's customer service?Does PayPal realize you need customers to survive and thrive?I can tell you with certainty that I will be closing my account, after having been a customer for at least a decade if not longer.Your only saving grace was the 5th representative i spoke to today, Mike employee ID: 00340499, who was competent, understood the issue, provided logical information and finally provided the type of customer service customers expect and should receive. Although he asked me to reconsider closing my account, I simply said if i had spoken with you first than i would definitely consider it, but after more than an hour of poor service and going round and round, getting MY MONEY should not be this hard!

What a joke!!!I'm disabled and sold one of my movie prop collectibles for extra income.Sold it to someone in Canada, who said "tell them it's value is $30" (it was sold for $2500!!!)The day he received it, he texts me that the display case is, cracked, and the item is cracked.I explained that the item was cracked from film use, but the case was perfect.He files a complaint with PayPal, and the same day, they automatically take his side, and is just supposed to send it back.So now, because it was ruined by either shipping, or himself, I'm getting back something that was once in perfect condition, and have to give him his money back!He didn't want insurance, AND after I shipped it, he didn't even pay me the full shipping cost.He only gave me half.I don't understand how I can get screwed when I did everything I was supposed to, and he was too cheap to get insurance.Hey PAYPAL, not the type of stress someone with COPD, Chronic kidney disease, Diabetes, and numerous other problems needs!!!!

After reading the comments it’s clear a class action suit needs to be taken against this company because the fraud is getting out of hand. Can anyone verify if a “Michael Rager” has been the recipient of any stolen funds? That was the name listed on multiple fraudulent claims for thousands of dollars with my bank.When attempting to contact PayPal with my issue they said it was a scammer who’s ruse I fell for only that doesn’t make sense when Ive never provided information remotely related to my PayPal account. Additionally, they said they have no record of any transfers despite my bank having exact records of each fraudulent transfer.Reading further into PayPal, security has become a systemic issue which means it’s most likely the owners themselves or at least a coordinated effort by a nefarious group of employees who’re running a professional theft ring. Either way, someone needs to be held accountable for this because the occurrences are becoming the rule and not the exception.

I appreciate the payment protection when sending and receiving money. There are times that it is frustrating addressing concerns or problems with customer service, and you have to make multiple calls.Update February 2024:When you are paying online with PayPal- be VERY VERY careful that the correct account is charged. While it was authorized to make multiple Google Play charges through PayPal- I have Paypal Credit as my first "go to" for payment and then Paypal MC for the secondary. Paypal put the charges through on my bank account, 19 total charges, which incurred 17 total overdraft fees on my bank account. I have reached out to Paypal multiple times about this situation and have not received responses. I am not sure who to talk to about this issue at this point or find some resolution as to why PayPal did this.Another Update February 2024:After several attempts to work issues out regarding unauthorized payment sources with Paypal- I feel like I literally heard a recording (it was a real person just saying the same thing over and over) that "it is listed in the user agreement, it is listed in the user agreement" I gave up trying to get my refund and realized lesson learned when it comes to trusting in Paypal and its practices.

My dispute was denied. Some hacker charged my debit card 92.20 for MTEA ads. I filled out the dispute and I was denied a refund. How can this be? I did not make those purchases.You have to struggle to get a hold of Paypal.Shame on you Paypal. If there was another avenue to get my money back. I would pursue it.

PayPal isn't trustworthy. My bank stopped payment since I contacted them about a scam. PayPal paid the scammers instead of looking into the reason for the stopped payment. I didn't give permission for them to do this. Now they don't want to give my money back. I was advised by my bank to file a fraud report to my local police department.

Unable to withdraw Celsius, crypto.Received some crypto from the Celsius bankruptcy. With Drew $25 this morning as a test. Then try to withdraw some more and access was denied. I called customer service asking why I cannot withdraw anymore. And first she said I tried to withdraw two large amounts back to back. I explained it $25 is not a large amount. Then she said well. You have to wait 24 to 48 hours to make a withdrawal anytime you receive cryptocurrency into PayPal, which is untrue because I already made a withdrawal. Then she said my account was locked out for suspicious activities. Good luck getting your crypto out of PayPal. As soon as I can get all of my money out, I am closing my account.

PayPal is now charging 3% fees for sending friends/family money. I've tried to ask them why, but they've successfully blocked any possible interaction with their subscribers. They apparently own Venmo, which doesn't charge such fees.So,.... why the fees??

I recently bought something from a website that I now know that is a scam. And spent money I have contacted PayPal and verbally spoken to someone regarding the issue after I sent all the attachments to provide they said I would be fedunded 100percent.Now I getting messages saying it has t been 30 days but on the receipt that I sent them it shows shilling to arrive 3 days been more than that and still being told I can’t get my money back pay pal sucks

PayPal has held my money for the last 5 days thus far and canceled my transfer apparently due to system issues. Now they said I will get a refund in 3-5 business days. This has caused major late fees on very important bills I had to pay. I never doing business with them again. Paypal all a big scam. I will be contacting consumers financial protection bureau to report them.
