Hours: Rainbow Garden Learning Center is a bilingual after-school program offering authentic Chinese language lessons, as well as practice in math, reading, and writing. It provides a consistent Mandarin-speaking environment that is extremely helpful for learning. The teachers are kind, patient, professional, and excel at teaching the language and managing the classroom. Their explanations of words, phrases, and grammar points are extremely clear and comprehensible to students of all backgrounds, including those without a Mandarin-speaking heritage. The center also features a rich collection of fun activities, such as programming, painting, and daily art projects which are very creative and sometimes made with everyday objects. Their flexible summer camp program allows for late drop-off and early pick-up and serves as a good boost for Chinese language skills. A unique and appreciated aspect is how teachers share something unique about Taiwanese culture, bringing toys and candies from Taiwan to share with the kids. The school is described as a lovely place and a big extended family, providing a supportive environment where students not only learn Mandarin but also grow up and thrive. It is highly recommended.
