Restaurant Depot is such a cool place to go shopping! It's kind of like a food service-based Costco and offers a variety of food related products to its customers. You need a membership to go, but if you are in the restaurant industry and need to find a place to grab something quickly, this is the spot! They have food as well as food related accessories, which is handy for someone who loves cooking!

This review is long overdue!We have been getting our stuff delivered to our restaurant every week. I am so happy that restaurant depot have very professional bunch who are delivering to us and saving us our time and energy. I like to mention Arzu who always cooperate and help us in case any problems with our order.Keep up the good work guys.

Very poor customer service. The manager of the San Jose branch who goes by the name Sunny behaved rudely with one of my coworker. It was really uncalled for and made her embarrassed in front of his coworker. I did try to contact through that email but did not receive any response.

I went here for halal meat - they have large quantities of halal lamb, chicken and more at very reasonable prices. This is the only reason I go there!

I have been coming here a week in a row. Once last week, it was closed due to no power. Then every day since then, their system has been down. No returns no alcohol purchase . Long line with a few portable credit card machines. I think a week is enough to fix your system if you really cared about customer service . Obviously they don't

One of my employee bought some buckets to use it for food ,but unfortunately we were unable to use it for food ,it had lots of dust while we received it and we washed the buckets just to remove the dust ,we took it back in the same hours but the lady in the counter did not get it because it was wet a little bit ,we told her many times that this is not used for food and we washed it only because of the dust which comes from restaurant depot ,shooing for 3 of my restaurants and this was the first time returning something in the past 10 years ,very rude and unprofessional lady in the customer service ,she needs to know if it’s used or just washed for the dust ,very disappointing and will never shop from here for my restaurants

This is an establishment that requires membership. So you pay for the privilege to shop there. More often than not they have what you're looking for, even if you have to locate it high up on a warehouse rack and flag down a guy with a forklift to get it. Their biggest downside has always been their checkout process. For a long time it was a single line down a single isle, and they would direct you one by one to available check-stands. Seemed slow and sometimes the line wrapped around the store. But it was orderly. The other problem related to checking out is the management and inventory system. They seem to have a poor control of their POS/Inventory system and never know for sure if an item is discounted like the boxes say. So they are forever calling for non available management overrides on their old POS systems. This dramatically holds things up. After that, check out clerks have to call a manager to finalize each transaction. So again, you're waiting for a manager to come over a count items. It's insane. They provide No empowerment to their employees. And waste every customers time. Lately they have abandoned the single line for a free for all at the front of the store. This could make sense. However, the employees still need multiple checks from management to complete transactions. And many of the employees have zero customer service skills. They are stressed out, trying to get to their break times, and end up yelling at the customers or being extremely sarcastic with them. This palace doesn't respect you as a customer. At all. Not your time, or your experience with them. I would strong recommend seeing if somewhere like US Chefs store, smart and final, or Costco can meet your needs before coming here. It will take much longer than you'd expect, and will be largely a bad experience.
