I prepaid for a wrist corsage and no one was in the department. I went to customer service to request help and Ray was rude is an understatement. He said the florist department was closed. I asked what should I do and told me I don't know it's not my They called for a Renaldo but he never appeared after 20 minutes of waiting. As we were leaving we ran into a man casually coming from online that was willing to help get our paid order from the back.

I don't get it .Why is Safeway always gross ?Why are there always rotten veggies ?Why are there always expired items ?Why is there mold in the cheese and milk fridges ?It doesn't matter which location you go to : the stores are always dirty .Where are the managers ? Who is in charge of cleaning these places where we buy our FOOD?And how come it doesn't look like this at Whole Foods , sprouts , Lunardi's, Nob Hill ?

I just moved to the area and I've been to this location several times. Two of the times, my cashier was Dominic. He's a friendly guy and has just been really helpful each time I've come in. I would just like to do thank you to Dominic for being so pleasant. I think any business would be proud to have an employee like him.

I had stopped into this Safeway on 8/1 on a quick grocery run. Starting with a positive, this store has a unique naming system for their aisles. It's fun and unique to the area of San Jose the store is in. That's a nice touch.Today however, I was about to open one of the products I'd purchased 2 days ago and it's past its sell by date. Seems like they aren't checking expirations as well as they should. Be wary, and double check your items when about to purchase.

Safeway never fails to impress! This store truly offers a delightful shopping experience. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a clean, cozy, and spacious environment. The organization is impeccable, making it a breeze to navigate the aisles. Plus, the excellent selection ensures that you'll always find exactly what you're looking for. It's a real bonus when a grocery store caters to your needs. Safeway has definitely become my go-to place for shopping, thanks to its inviting atmosphere and reliable inventory. Whether it's your weekly grocery run or a quick stop, this Safeway is sure to leave you satisfied.

I like shopping at Safeway because it's convenient and has everything I need. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of some of the produce.

I normally only shop at Safeway when they have a really cheap deal on something. For example today I got frozen shrimp for $3 a pound. I saved $66 dollars on four bags of shrimp. The store is clean and well stocked. I use to shop here all the time until I realized how much cheaper it was to shop at Walmart.I'll keep coming back for the good sales but not my regular shopping.

Received belligerent customer support , sold corrupt apple gift cards with mis matched sleeve and card in side . Reported to Safeway corporate, and Apple corporate. Store manager refused to connect with apple who said card was bad. Apple said they were contracted to refund and refused . Reported customer service to Corporate offices to swiftly deal with this branch . They tried to stick the receipt in my face instead of refunding according to the fair debt credit law . Now Corporate will deal with them . Apple put incorrect card in jacket and Safeway crammed charge on my credit . Card . Because this Safeway responded the way they did corporate got involved. Please do not by gift card from this location they have horrible customer service and if and ignorant if I might add . No customer deserve bad gift cards and then poor customer service . This was put on Yelp to protect others from fraud .

This used to be my go to Safeway for decades. In the past few months however, whenever I go there are no shopping carts. It seems like they only have a total of ten shopping carts. Several times I have gone there to shop only to not be able to find any carts, so I leave and have to shop somewhere else. I just attempted to do so today and again, no carts. When I ask about it employees told me "if there's none we don't have any" and there's no explanation beyond that. So as of today I will not be shopping here anymore and will tell others the same.

This large Safeway has only about a dozen shopping carts. During the past few months, there has been nary a shopping cart to be found. Staff tell me that shopping carts have been stolen. This is a shame, yet every other grocery store in San Jose is able to supply its customers with shopping carts. They order the type with devices that lock if the cart is taken from the property, for example. The fact that the manager of this Safeway seems wholly unmotivated to address the problem is perplexing to say the least. In the past few months, I have spent hundreds of dollars elsewhere which I normally would have spent at this Safeway.

Today IS 10/14/22 (Friday) 11am I went in to this Safeway on Branham and Snell, Some isles are not stocked. Infact, there is no Ice cream on the shelfs (Freezer must be out again) I wanted to purchase some $5.00 friday specials. I went to get the Reser potato salad. All varieties completely empty, noting on the shelves. Ok, next choice, I went for the Safeway Select potato salad which sells for $8.99. The use by date on the safeway select Potato salad I pulled was 10/12/22 (2 days expired) humm...I started pulling more and they were all dated 10/12/22 (pic attached) I brought it to the customer service clerk at the front of the store. she didnt seem to care and just tossed in in the garbage can.

I used to go to Lucky, but I got fed up with the shortage of cashiers. So I was happy when I went to Safeway, farther from my home, but plenty of cashiers. But for more than a month, every time I go, there are no shopping carts. I spend a lot of time walking around the parking lot, trying to find a cart. When I complained, several weeks ago, I was told that the carts were on order. I reached the end of my rope today, when there were no carts to be found--again! There's no excuse for this. The manager should be fired. So I'm back at Lucky again. Poor service, but at last they have plenty of carts.
