This Safeway is Disappointment OK first Off their lines are very long and sometimes There's one person working register and That's not OK Please hire more cashiers second meet & seafood looks like garbage some of their meat & seafood looks like they have more than some of their steaks it Disappointment third off they take forever at customer service about 5 to 10 minutes waiting and I was going to give this Safeway One starBut I'm getting them 3 Stars because 1. this Safeway is always fully stock of items daily I give him that and 2 The employees are friendly including the cashier's but they need to hire more cashiers please hire more

This place used to be ok, however the last few months weve been going here there has been nothing but problems. From the terrible shopoing cart issue everyone keeps talking about (we just went at 8am and there were only 4 very dirty carts), very poorly maintained meat quality and lack of, most shelves are out of stock still in the morning after tje overnight stock people have done their job and most infuriating is the terrble attitude we get from all the workers, accept people who are trying to stock shelves.After 10 years we finally made the decision to shop elsewhere, where they actually have things to buy and people that dont treat you like garabge.

I like shopping at Safeway because it's convenient and has everything I need. The only thing that could be improved is the quality of some of the produce.

This is a good grocery store with a nice selection of products. The only downside is that it can get a bit crowded during peak hours.

The best thing for me in this branch is the DMV kiosk where it prints my sticker right away - no waiting in line in the DMV and I have it in myhand when I step out of the store. This place also have the Amazon locker, Redbox, key duplicate kiosk among others. They also recently renovated their Starbucks. Everything in one - multiple birds hit with one stone! Parking can be tight ‘though but it’s always available.

Today I went buy chip and parsley but they can’t accept Apple Pay. I am so mad. They need get Apple Pay out by door so people know about it.

If you have to shop here... Make peace with poorly maintained carts with bad wheels (if you can find one, I guess), check the expiration on EVERYTHING (found an entire inventory of a sausage over a month past), and realize that the mess of a parking lot has a good chance of damaging your car (less than 10mph and a speedbump did a hard scrape on the oil pan of my factory camry)They do have a huge inventory of items, but it seems that it may just be too much for the store to maintain.

Why can't this Safeway have carts for customers? Having 1 cashier working to force customers to self checkout? The new Smart & Final at Snell & Blossom Hill is an example of what a supermarket can be

The store itself is nice, but I had to stand in the parking lot and wait for a customer to leave and then ask if I could have their shopping cart when they were done. From the reviews it looks like they haven't had carts for almost a year.

A few negatives about this Safeway #1) the intentional out of stock on sale items, these are what are called teaser ads, Teaser ads are ads that come out in the circular, that the store has no intention of increasing inventory for the sale. #2) The hot food at the deli counter. Most of the food sits in roasting pans to stay warm. The problem is the food that are on the bottom touching the pan becomes hard and brittle. This happened Friday when i got the $5 friday fish. I even asked the counter guy and he said they were fresh and just came out."LIAR" I brought the fish home got my lunch ready to eat and the fish was hard and crusted on the bottom. this fish was not fresh out of the oven. Also, when I brought it up to the supervisor lead, they said they were not allowed to no longer put the wire screen on the bottom to keep the food from getting scorced. So, Im guessing Safeway prefers to serve burnt food..Well, Im no longer buying anything from Safeway deli

Looks like this store is ready for Valentine's Day! I come to this Safeway fairly often and it is a good basic Safeway. The employees here are helpful but the one thing they can't help you with is finding a cart. I've had many conversations with the people that work here and they are just as frustrated with it as the customers. It seems like they may have gotten a few brand new ones lately, so we'll see how that goes.Update: scrolling back through the reviews you'll see that the shortage of carts has been a problem for at least as far as I scrolled back, 5 months. The Safeway (owner), probably someone at corporate, ALWAYS responds with apologies. And still, carts are scarce. I've even seen people who bring their own wagons with them to shop. I won't do that, I'll just go a mile or so down Branham to another store that always has carts.

WTH!!! Maybe 12 shopping carts for the whole store!. How exactly are you supposed to grocery shop? Stressful trying to lug around shopping bags to cart your groceries around and then to have one line opened! 6 self check stands available which are usually full. Usually only visit this store if I know I have to purchase a few things. If you need to do full on grocery shopping head to the Safeway on Branham and Ross plenty of carts there. We all know management can't do much about the carts being taken but something has to give!

Same experience today--no carts available. This appears to be a deliberate strategy by the store manager---not enough carts translates into letting the customers bring in carts from the parking lot instead of hiring an extra clerk or two to perform this task as part of their duties. I NEVER have this problem at the Safeway at Almaden and Cherry.
