Friendly customer service, not too crowded, professional mechanics, quality service, it's better to call ahead and make an appointment, location is a little hard to find, it is deep inside an alley of service shops, highly recommended.

I've been going to Sai's Star Smog station for many years and they always provide great service with very reasonable prices. They'll take the time to explain how things work when you have questions instead of rushing you out like some smog shops I've previously been to.

If you don't have a dedicated smog shop I would like to recommend, Sai's Smog. I've been coming here to get my STAR SMOG done for many years and both Sai & his wife always provide great service. They'll take the time to explain how things work if you have questions instead of rushing you out like other smog shops that I've previously been to. Their prices are very reasonable and I always enjoy Sai's jokes.

Sai is the man. He was recommended by my mechanic Danny (who is also awesome and is right next door) and I've been getting smogs here for a long time. I had a check engine light on and he helped me reset it and told me exactly what I needed to do to keep it off in order to get the smog passed. I hadn't been over there in 3 years and he still remembered me and my dad. He seemed to know every customer by name. In all my times I've been here, I've never ever got the feeling that I was getting the run around or being lied to. Honest guy who knows his stuff and cares about his customers. What more can you ask for? Him and his wife do a great job. Great place ESPECIALLY if you have an older car or a car that you know will have trouble passing smog. Make sure to check their hours. Location is in an industrial zone which is not the most parking friendly, but the peace of mind you get here makes up for it. Forewarning for people who aren't from East San Jose: he's very straightforward and blunt but don't mistake that for rudeness, the guy is super nice and friendly. Be ready for plenty of banter cause Sai is always cracking jokes.

I always get my smog done here, the owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. They have been running the business for years and know a lot about the industry. Their service is quick and efficient and can get you out in no time. I highly recommend them, stop by and support them if you are in need of a smog!

I highly recommend this place. When I just moved here, my church friend recommended Danny to me. I've come here twice now. Danny is trustworthy, efficient, and helpful, a very kind person. If you are looking for a mechanic you can trust, who would never attempt to sell you anything you don't need nor over-charge you, and just take care of you and your car, this is the place.
