Our son had a fantastic time at his School of Rock trial! The instructor was super encouraging, and he came out beaming after getting to rock on the drums. We're definitely looking into signing him up- he hasn't stopped talking about it!

I was amazed by the level of drumming techniques my son learned in such a short period of time. He really likes the 1 on 1 lessons. Everyone has been great and the actual concert was amazing!! I was so impressed how well the kids played. Kudos to all the instructors!

Love this SOR. The director and staff are super encouraging and caring. They create an encouraging environment and give the students opportunities to learn all types of skills for performance and showmanship. They encourage all skill levels to perform at their best. My daughter has blossomed as a musician over the past 2 years to the point where last night she said "I've learned so much and I know all these chords, where now playing music is so fun. I didn't know it could be this fun!" She started playing RUSH songs last season and here skill level exploded!

Our 11 yo boy has been going to SOR Almaden for about a year now and it is by far his favorite out of school activity. The music teachers have been wonderful and the staff always very accommodating with schedule changes and advice on how to develop our son as a musician. The concerts they put on are so much fun and the whole family are in awe how fast our son has advanced as a performer and also in his confidence. A real gem of a place.

School of Rock San Jose is an amazing place for people to learn how to play music. Students are supported and encouraged to challenge themselves, becoming better musicians. The youth program helps all students improve and have room to grow musically. It's been a wonderful journey for our two children for the past 10 years.

Love School of rock. My son’s knowledge and curiosity about different types of music has definitely improved. He loves taking lessons there and the staff and teachers are very accommodating to cancellations/rescheduling lessons. Definitely recommend their school for anyone looking at starting or enriching their kids music interests.

The best musical program in the area with the best instructors and the most positive energy from Chris who runs the school morning. It is an amazing place with amazing instructors but more importantly, amazing performance is in great energy. I've tried a lot of schools, and I was taking lessons at a bunch, but this one is a step beyond and above.

My kiddo has been there before for private drum lessons, but apparently trying to sign him back up for private drum lessons "isn't allowed right now." I was told that they are only signing up people who are interested in their "full program." Meaning, you have to have private drum lessons AND participate in their "house band." we were only interested in lessons, so I was told no. So... I guess I'll just find private lessons elsewhere. Kind of sucks because the first time around went so well, but I guess management has changed their strategy to alienate everyone who just wants to learn/get better.

My son has been playing for a year. The concert this past weekend was so great! The kids are really learning a lot. My son loves working with Ace.

My daughter has been attending weekly lessons and participating in their band seasons. It has been a fabulous experience. She has an AMAZING guitar teacher! Her band mates are super supportive! And the instructors and director are super encouraging and so so so kind! If you get a chance to see a season show, I'd recommend visiting to just see all of the love and work that goes into a show. And how much the whole vibe is care and excitement. I cannot recommend School of Rock in San Jose enough.
