I’ve rented from Sixt at the SJC airport location 2-3 times now for my business travel. I have to give them 5 stars for their customer service! The Cong and Trevor are great! They are patient, kind and helpful. Each time I’ve been upgraded on the app to a larger car but I’m not someone who wants a large or fancy car. I prefer to stick with a basic Corolla or Mini Cooper for ease of handling in the city. They’ve both been patient with me while trying to find a smaller car like the one I booked. I wish Sixt didn’t do that; although I’m sure many people love that. Tonight, Cong took the time to walk me to a smaller car and check to see if it has Apple Car Play for my navigation (my only request). I’ve never gotten this kind of service and that’s what keeps me coming back and booking my business rentals with Sixt at this location. It isn’t the same at other Sixt locations (LAS) but SJC is stellar!!!

SIXT went above and beyond for us! When our reserved car was not available at check in they worked diligently to ensure a solution. We are vacationing an hour and a half from the airport but they delivered the right car to us the next day. Kong and Lorna have our heart felt thanks for their excellent service. Thank you for making our vacation special with extra special service and care!

Just don't rent here. They will not have the car you reserved available and will try and get you to pay for a more expensive car. Overcharged for adding my son who is 24 years old as an additional driver (the price kept going up as the check in process proceeded) I was charged almost $800 for scratches on the rims of the car- I do not usually check for the condition of rims- only the body of the car so beware of that; rented dozens of cars over the years and have never been charged for any damages. Even though their prices look lower than the other companies at the time you reserve your car, in the end, this rental will cost you more.

Terrible user interface on the website. Watch out if you book online. Any mistakes it's hard to get a hold of anyone and you are forced to pay an exorbitant amount as "cancellation".

You need to be very careful with this shady agency. In December, we rented a car and took pictures of the car’s condition before leaving the rental place. When we returned the car, a prejudiced individual handling the returns falsely claimed damage that we didn’t cause to the car. Now, a collection agency is hounding us for $800 in repair costs for damages we didn’t inflict, even though we have evidence. I must say, it seems their employees are biased, especially when they might target Hispanics or individuals they perceive as easy targets. It was a terrible experience. I don’t recommend anyone renting a car with this sneaky company.

They have a great selection of cars and they are always in excellent condition. I just rented an 8 series BMW and had a blast. Thank you!

After using SIXT for over 20 years around the world, SIXT in US employing strange, sometimes fraudulent business practices. As an example you return receipt displays one price, but when you check your credit card statement they charge you HUNDREDS of dollars more than on your receipt.BE AWARE and check it every time. It already happened to me twice - once in Dallas and once in San Jose Ca, where they are adding fuel charges even considering I have provided them with the fuel receipt and brought the vehicle back fully gases.Be aware

Don't get rental from this place. They are horrible. I dropped off the car, and the guy said he found pet hair in the car. I told him I never had pet in my life. How can I have pet hair? It must be from someone earlier. Also, I rented for 5 days, and returned even 8 hours earlier (Instead of a 7 am day, I returned at midnight). Now they are charging me for one extra day and my invoice is showing I returned the car at 5.11 pm. I never had to deal with a car rental like this before. I will try to avoid Sixt as much as I can in the future.

I have never felt so injured in my entire life. This company has only given me a headache since simply booking through the app. Firstly, I didn't have the car I reserved on the day of pick up, then they didn't accept my debit card that I used to make the reservation, and to top it off they were charging me 700 dollars for damage to a wheel that was already there. and the insurance I paid for was simply of no use. and more surprised that the price of the wheel they are charging me is 700 dollars. If you came here to see this company's review, take the opportunity not to hire them, the worst car rental company I've ever seen! and I will publicize it everywhere possible so that people can look for other options and not hire unprepared freeloaders! I will leave this review in as many languages as possible.

Good morning!For those of you considering renting a vehicle in Costa Rica. If you have insurance through your credit card company, please e-mail them prior to your arrival and PRINT a copy of what they send you. It will detail what coverage you have and allow this process to go as smoothly as ours did.Firstly, let me just say that we had a wonderful rental experience! From start to finish, it was a smooth and quick process. Once we arrived at the airport we walked outside to the agent holding the “SIXT” sign. We gave him our name, which he had on a printed list. From there he informed us that it would be a 10 minute wait, to ensure no one else was needed the shuttle. A short 5 minutes later he informed us that we could get in the shuttle. It was a quick 5-7 minute drive from the airport to the rental car office. The shuttle driver was very friendly and carried on pleasant conversation. Once we arrived at the office he downloaded our bags and wished us a great trip. We were the only people on the office and were able to walk up to the front desk immediately. The desk agent was friendly and professional. We gave him the reservation name and he asked us about insurance for the vehicle. We informed him that we had insurance through our credit card company, Amex, and provided him with a copy of the e-mail we had requested from Amex, which outlined the insurance. Once this was provided no further questions were asked about insurance. He then informed us of the deposit amount required, $800, which we had previously read about. After we provided the credit card, he explained that if anything were to happen during our trip, how it would be billed through Amex, and then reimbursed. We then proceeded outside to do a walk around of the vehicle. He showed us the emergency roadside equipment in the trunk and ensured that all the tools to change a tire were in the trunk area. He also showed us where the registration documents and the gas release lever were. We then proceeded to walk around the vehicle, take pictures, and he expressed that all minor scratches were already noted and not to worry about those. The car was a little over a year old with little wear and tear. Both the inside and out were extremely clean and freshly washed/detailed. From start to finish it was a short 20 minutes or less. There were no hidden fees or surprises! Overall, a very pleasant and easy rental car experience! We will definitely use this company again when considering renting a vehicle in any country they operate out of! Thank you for making this an enjoyable process!

I rented from the San Jose Airport location and the process was quick and easy! THE Daniel helped us out and he was nice and helpful. I appreciated him taking his time to answer any questions we had and clearly explaining the whole process. He helped us find a car that we needed at a reasonable price. Highly recommend renting from Sixt!

I booked an SUV at San Jose Airport Hertz, as a President’s Circle member, I usually could get free upgrades with lots of upgraded options, but not yesterday. So at the last minute, I found SixT had similar offer but with much nicer car options, X1 and X2 VS Hertz’s Nissan Rogue for similar price for a month! Highly recommended!

Had a great experience with SIXT recently. I could select the car before getting off the plane which was very convenient. Was pleased to find a nice upgrade to a BMW from the Toyota that was booked. Nice office at the rental car complex, good signage everywhere and very friendly staff. Return was also super easy. Car itself was very clean and super fun to drive.
