I booked a stay here before a 6:40 am flight out of SJC. They overbooked and wasted hours of my time trying to sort out where to send me, and then waiting for the shuttle that ended up refusing to take me to their overflow hotel.Overall horrible service, horrible experience, would never book again.

I would not stay here again. The parking lot is very dark & shady. There’s a ramp off to the side leading into the side entrance that is completely (very oddly) blocked off all around with metal poles so when you’re bringing in your suitcases you have to struggle up the stairs with them. The hotel hallways, elevator & rooms were dirty. The door to our room was broken and looked like someone had broken the hardware trying to break in at some point. Had to mess with it for 15 mins just to open the door. The sheets appeared to have never been changed after the last guest which is just gross & disappointing when checking in late & exhausted. The tv is oddly positioned & even on a extended tray table it was nearly impossible to see well from the bed. 1/2 of the screen was blocked by the closet. The towels smelled & didn’t appear clean & the shower was also wet but looked unclean as well with hair also around the bathroom. I was very ready to leave this hotel.

I stayed here because I am on a business trip and it is close to my local office. However, during my stay the wifi at this hotel has been out for more than 24 hours with no update on when the internet would return. This is a hotel for business travelers because of its location - there is literally nothing else to do outside of the hotel. Outages happen but fixing it should be first priority and should not have taken more than an entire day.

It was a great price, very clean, nice friendly staff. Perfect stay before a flight. Highly recommend.Noteworthy details: Under 10 min drive to airport, clean rooms, standard amenities plus snacks, fresh water, friendly staff.

Don't ask me again every thing not good .bad service including fallowing visitor in car no visitor day and night even I order pizza they don't let them in .they very demanding frontdisk people working here. they think every one are criminal wow they don't think how they look them self first tereble look haha I won't recommend to bad double tree hotel are book I won't even be here that place are very nice I never have a problem except this jail house .place.sonesta hotel San jose airport.

Great experience! Multiple week stay with changes we made that that were managed very well. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful especially Jessica, Tanya, Sierra, AK, Lydia and Ellis (hope I got names right) and all the support staff! . They were all sincere in making our stay comfortable for us and our cat. The whole staff made sure the facility was clean and always smelling fresh. Good people who care about their customers makes this a perfect spot for short or long term stays. We highly recommend them!Noteworthy details: Kind and helpful staff all around!

One of the visitors who visited my hotel room was harassed by the front desk employees upon entry and was rudely interrogated as to the purpose of his visit. This occurred during the daytime. After the visitor left the lobby, he was followed by security and this seriously unnerved the visitor. The visitor promptly exited the hotel and was very upset. On another occasion, pizza was ordered for delivery and the deliverer was stopped and prevented from coming to my room to deliver the pizza. I later discovered that this particular hotel has draconian security measures that are not found in most other hotels. According to California law, a hotel with unique enhanced security measures that may affect a guest's comfort must provide a notice to the guest. This notice must be provided in writing and must be given to the guest prior to the guest making a reservation. The notice must also be posted in a conspicuous location at the hotel. The notice must include the following information: (1) A description of the unique enhanced security measures; (2) How the security measures may affect the guest's comfort; and (3) The guest's right to refuse to stay at the hotel if they are not comfortable with the security measures. This hotel failed to provide notice to me of its enhanced security measures which besides being negligent is a violation of California's Hotel Guest Security Act. This law was enacted in 2013 in response to concerns about the privacy and comfort of hotel guests.

Very kind front desk. Nice clean rooms. They shuttled me to the airport even though I was by myself. (I luckily decided to ask about the shuttle the night before--Apparently it seems you need to SCHEDULE the shuttle beforehand?) I wish the hotel industry in general pushed for hotel walls to be soundproof, or at least pushed for cheap $10-$15 white noise makers to be in each room. Hearing every creak, footstep, and conversation around you is uncomfortable. "Elizabeth" is right about the TV position--it is in the literal worst spot you could put it in--It almost seems like the room designers were intentionally trying to position it in the most absurdly awful location in the room possible as a gag. The extending thing to slide the TV out further doesn't help at all, either...But it didn't matter too much to me in the end, because I was too embarrassed to watch TV for longer than a few minutes, since I assumed my neighbors and hallway walkers could hear literally everything I was watching. I also luckily brought headphones with my computer, so I could distract myself from the awkwardness of all of us being able to hear each other's slightest movements through the paper-thin doors and walls.

Room was adequate, staff was friendly and location was excellent. Unfortunately, we had to listen to noise from above room for a couple of hours - every loud footstep!Must be really poor construction with no insulation as you can hear everything - makes it hard to get a restful nights sleep.

SERVICE & CHECKINCheckin was fast & tap payment is accepted here.Early checkin is available for a $40 fee (quite egregious since this is 20-30% of room rates). Late checkout (1.5 hr) available for free.The front desk hospitality was true-to-form as described in other reviews; employees that can't be bothered, couldn't care less, & probably don't want to be here.It was inconvenient to request towels after hours due to lack of bell service, so plan accordingly.The GM, Elliot, reached out to us directly & expressed how committed he was to making sure we had a pleasant stay. This was a very nice touch & he seems earnest about improving the customer experience.ROOM (guest room)Rooms facing the backside don't receive much natural light so the dull lighting is one of the first things you notice walking in. The choice of carpet makes these low-light rooms feel particularly dreary. Our room was also incomplete (coffee ingredients but no coffee maker; no luggage rack). Nevertheless, the room wasn't a total loss: the workspace is very productive & the chair has great ergonomics; lots of drawers & hangers for personal items; windows are functional; beautifully chosen floor lamps.Cleaning standards were also good, minus debris behind the entertainment center.BEDWe slept in a 2 queen configuration which was very restful. The mattress had the exact level of firmness I needed. The bedding was clean, soft, & felt very luxe. I especially like the duvet, a 250tc polyester microfiber shell & similar fill. The pillow setup was quirky...: double-folding King pillowcases over Standard pillows. BATH (accessible)The accessibility of the tub is some of the best I've seen in ~80 hotel stays.Cleaning standards were visually "ok", but there was an odor & the vanity mirror was dirty and/or in need of treatment.The shower has good water pressure & is pre-stocked with bath products in fun containers, but they're generic & non-descriptive... There's a lack of information online & on-site about what's inside, so I don't recommend using these (very strange company brand decision). Despite the pressure being consistent, the temperature fluctuated a lot while showing.Ventilation was inadequate, even with the door ajar.The tissue box cover isn't a great fit for these smaller sinks: Water seeps underneath, gets absorbed into the cardboard, & wet tissues go unnoticed in a lower occupancy room. TV & ENTERTAINMENT40" HD LG LCD TV on swivel base. They offer basic programming, powered by the usual set top box & universal remote. Google TV friendly.WI-FI & CELL RECEPTIONVerizon coverage is not ideal in this area/property: 1-2 bars max signal strength. LTE, 5G, & 5Guw speeds intermittently available.Complimentary WiFi is unencrypted but BLAZING fast & more than adequate for work.--Nerd Stats--120-130 Mbps download 120-145 Mbps upload0% packet loss9 ms latency1 ms jitter--Performance--Video streaming - GREATOnline gaming - GREATVideo chatting - GREAT FOOD & DRINKDoorDash shows that contactless delivery is supported at this location.Dinner & breakfast services are available for a fee (~$20). Rooms are equipped with a tiny mini fridge & a mini coffee bar usually (ours didn't). There's a market in the lobby that offers the typical instant food & beverages.NOISEExplicit quiet hours 10pm-6am; no issues with guests around us in the respect. Lots of heathy trees in the vicinity so birds can be LOUD in the morning. LOCATIONThe location is convenient (transit, shops, etc) & feels safe.VERDICTI was apprehensive on this location based on reviews, but the GM is genuinely trying to improve quality & is receptive to feedback. The accommodations aren't the most noteworthy, but the price is competitive for such a convenient location. Very nice hotel. The room was spacious and very clean and I even had a small balcony, the front desk was very friendly. It was close to the airport which was why we picked this hotel. When I'm back in the South Bay Area, this will be my hotel of choice,

Average hotel that would have been acceptable at least, except for 3 full bags of garbage neatly hidden in the bathroom cabinet, and used eating utensils and napkin in dresser.

We had the most wonderful check-in experience with Tanya after missing our flight last night. She took all our stress away and really turned our days around. Will definitely return just for Tanya the next time we need a night in San Jose.

Perfect location. Very close to the airport in a clean open area. It is in the business area so it is deserted at night. Easy assess to the freeway.The staff was very friendly and helpful. The printer wasn't working but the gal at the front desk found another way to help me print my document.Our room was clean and comfortable. The laundry room was also clean.The only issue was our hallway had a strong weed aroma.
