I called this place twice and I asked the same person what business they represented and he said “sorry you got wrong numba” I don’t know why he kept saying that … then he hung up the phone ……. … don’t waist your time with people who don’t represent the business they work for.. why wouldn’t he just tell me what business he represents?!?!!?!? BIG RED FLAG!!!!! Good luck to you people !!!!!!!!!!

This was my first time dealing with Stephen as a mortgage broker and have dealt with many mortgage brokers and banks consultants in the past; however, Stephen is a very honest individual and he will be upfront with you. In turn, he will obtain the best deal for your circumstances. He did a VA cash-out refinance mortgage . . . even when I signed the mortgage paperwork near the end and he said, "If you don't like the loan, just cancel it . . . It is not about me; it's about you if you like the terms of the contract." Moreover, he is available to answer your questions by talking, text or email any time! I would highly recommend him and he is a hidden jewel in the mortgage industry!

So thankful to have friend refer us to Stephen for refi so we could use funds to make a purchase. Stephen and team is excellent and will get you to the finish line in record time. He is very knowledgeable and will help you through the process and is on top of all the deadlines to ensure you will close on time and will get you the best rates and even credits in your closing costs. So glad we found Stephen and team and will definitely use them for future financing needs. Highly recommend.

I’m sure Stephen is a good lender however I didn’t have a great experience with him. I had a complicated situation with a rental property I own. And without looking into the details, Stephen just told us to sell our rental property so it’d be easier to get a loan. Um, obviously it would be easier to just get rid of any debt. I needed help looking into if we could make this work and what we could get approved for. 3 stars is a little high for the laziness I experienced but I didn’t want to rate lower.

I love the team! They helped me throughout all process of looking for a home and I was recommended the best options for me. Bill, the agent, is great and patient, he wont put pressure on you to buy a home. He wants the best for his clients and fights for it when we love a home. He is hardworking and reliable! He stays on track and up to date with everything. Stephen, the broker, is hardworking and reliable as well. Very helpful and will guide you and recommend best options for your mortgage, without any pressures. He helped me too to get the best home I could get, and was very patient with me. I worked with Stephen on my first mortgage. The process was smooth and he took care of almost everything. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Stephen made a great first impression. Since he has so many 5-star reviews on Yelp, I decided to give him a shot. I was not disappointed. At first, I simply asked him for a rate on a loan, but surprisingly, I got a lot more. He wanted to understand the bigger picture and what I was trying to accomplish financially to help determine which loan program was the best for my situation. I have two investment property and was looking for a 15 year fixed, but with his guidance, he provided me with several other loan program options that may be a better fit for my financial situation. I haven't even sent in my paperwork to lock in a rate yet, but I was so amazed that I had to write this review, even though I haven't gotten a loan from him yet. That is how much of a positive impression Stephen has made on me. Can't wait to actually do business with Stephen.

I wish there were 10 stars ratings option that I can give to Mr.Stephen. Everyone we had consulted told us that we could not quality for any home loan, but Stephen turned an impossible case to possible and helped us get the home. He worked with passion and warm-hearted care, not driven by money. He would stand on his clients' side and fight for them for their best interest. He is someone you can fully trust and rely on. Stephen Wong is by far Better than the BEST Loan Officer we've had the good fortune to work with. He is extremely professional and with his knowledge and expertise and patience he got us the best rates for our rental property as well as our primary residence. We just completed our 2nd refi with Stephen. The man is top notch. Yes, he is a man of few words, but who cares. He is super responsive and delivers, it's that simple. For the first refi, we called him out of the blue based on some online reviews, and from start to finish, it was our fastest mortgage transaction ever, closing in under 3 weeks. Pleased with the rate, I thought we were done forever. Months later, when rates hit historical lows, Stephen reached out and we just completed another smooth refi, this time with minimal effort on our part. Highly recommended.

Based on his numerous good reviews, I messaged Stephen early last August about the possibility of getting a United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) 15-year fixed home loan at 1.99%. This was a new program announced by press release, which I read about in a Yahoo! Finance article, through a link on Google News. Having worked previously in real estate and finance, I knew what the key points were to our situation, so I included those in the message to Stephen, asking whether he would be able to do the loan. Stephen responded abruptly by saying that he would have to talk with me by phone, to discuss "details." After I called him, he proceeded to try to browbeat me into accepting a different program at a higher interest rate. His approach was to use old-fashioned psychological pressure tactics, along the lines of: "Are you so naïve that you think you could actually get such a loan? That rate is just a teaser that you would never actually get." He was crude, demeaning and even insulting. I informed him, politely, that I had a background in real estate and finance, so I was not naïve about these things, offering him one last chance to do business with us, if he was so inclined. But he insisted that the loan would not be possible for us, so I thanked him and said goodbye. Shortly thereafter, I found a straightforward loan broker who in fact did the loan for us, on exactly the terms I had in mind: 1.99% 15-year fixed, with a reasonable fee. We closed in less than three weeks and none of the things that Stephen said were obstacles turned out to be an issue. I am pleased to report that my wife and I are now enjoying substantially lower monthly payments. BOTTOM LINE: If you want someone with an "old-school" approach to sales--involving psychological games, pressure tactics and absence of transparency (resulting in your not getting the best deal that you could)--Stephen Wong may be a good fit for you. Anyone interested in connecting with the straightforward broker we ultimately used is welcome to send me a private message, as I'm not allowed to include that information in my review.

Stephen did exactly what he says. Got me my refinance at the rate he said, in a quicker time than I thought. Man of few words, he gets the job done. Definitely over my expectations. Also, he seems to always be working. He replies to texts/emails immediately, almost at any hour. Definitely would call him first next time I have a mortgage issue or question.

I emailed Stephen Wong with all the necessary information to do refinance last month. He said he would follow up with me when there is a better rate. An entire month has passed and Stephen still has not given us a single rate. We followed up with him today. When we called, he was unable to recall who I was. He even got the property wrong. At this point, since we are getting nowhere, I asked if he can just stop the entire process. He suddenly says we should lock in the rate today. When asked what the rate would be, he still did not give an actual number and instead just started asking other questions unrelated to the rate. The entire process was very unprofessional. Definitely would NOT recommend Stephen Wong to anyone.

Stephen should have been our first stop BEFORE searching for a home. He has so much experience, and strategies, for getting the best rate on a mortgage loan. I liked that he deeply understood the urgency in the purchasing process and had invaluable knowledge within the industry. He reminded me of the kind of person who is in your corner of the ring when you really need it. I felt the advice he shared was a blessing. Yes, his rates are hands down the best. But I liked how he told me the good and bad news straight. His responsiveness was excellent and got back to me quickly throughout our communications. I would highly recommend buyers to speak with him when you start your home search and mortgage loan.
