This goes for children's place online and in-store. Do NOT order from this company. It's a scam. They took my order. I paid them. They shipped less than half of my items. The rest was not delivered. I called and asked about it. They said they will "Re ship" it but nothing arrived. I called the company 3x (outsourced btw) and the reps refuse to Re ship, allow me to pick it up at the store or refund my money. Instead they offer "store bucks" for much less than what they charged my debit card. This new company is not the same ol' Gymboree/children's place. This company is a scam.

After 2 emails to customer service and no answers I finally get a response a month later? Good thing I didn't hold my breath! The email from the Children's place sent today (6/28/23) was regarding my online order/store pickup purchase that was made on 3/27/23 for 2 outfits-it was for my daughter's kinder promotion which was a time sensitive occasion. The email states that the order was picked up on 6/2/23. (Duh! Thanks for resolving nothing!)Initially, I received an email on 5/30/23 saying there was an issue with shipment and that I might get reimbursed, but I never heard anything after that. I tried to message customer service for a follow up but to no avail. There's obviously a lack of customer service or any kind of urgency to respond to messages. I am not sure what's going on there. I went ahead and drove to Oakridge mall on 6/2/23 not knowing whether or not my order would even be available as the store never notified me if my package had made it there or not. The employee nonchalantly goes yeah it's here and hands it to me not looking at me or saying anything. I could tell she could care less about her job and I don't blame her at all! If I was working for a company where the people at the top don't care why should I care about my job either? I hope your company finds some integrity before you all start going down hill. Typically, I turn to Gymboree for milestone events, picture days, holidays, and special occasions. We have been shopping here for generations, so Gymboree has been a wardrobe staple. It is a shame Gymboree went under and has to now be carried by The Children's Place. Hopefully the customer experience improves because Gymboree clothing is nostalgia to our family. Otherwise, my kids will eventually grow up and in a few more years we would not need to shop here anymore.

I love the clothes here for my kids but I will not be spending another dime here. I spent hours in the mall and the ONLY place that is still mask forcing us is this store. I can go to Costco or any grocery store without one , and went to many other stores in the mall that day without a mask including Target and Macy's. The mandate has been DROPPED. If people want to wear one for the next two years that is their choice but I will be supporting stores that support freedom of choice after two years of this. Not supporting any stores that will force this after it's been dropped EVERYWHERE ELSE.

I have searched up the Peninsula and down the South Bay for a well stocked Children's Place and I have finally founded! I walked in on the more narrow entrance that has a one way in and one way out and was about to leave because of how narrow the aisle was when I saw the what I have been searching for high and low for my little one. I walked up to a well stocked area of sweats, shirts, sweaters, and holiday attire. An employee approached me about 15 minutes in to offer me a blue bag to put in all my items. After I grabbed everything I saw the whole other side of the store and jumped for joy. I grabbed a couple more items and got in line to pay. The cashier rung me up, signed me up for the rewards program, and I was on my way. Customer service is a large part of the shopping experience and will determine if I stop and shop or walk right out. The staff at this location can be more attentive and approachable. Greet the customer and offer a bag to help shopping be more efficient. While I shopped the more narrow part of the store an employee would come and go and not say a word. She looked annoyed that I was in the area. But I came for what I came in for and unwelcoming service was not going to get in the way of that.

Walked in here on a Wednesday afternoon, and two employees were standing behind the counter. We were the only customers in the store. Only one of them looked at us when we entered. She looked at us, but she didn't smile or saying anything at all. I felt extremely unwelcome. I really didn't want to buy anything from a company who treats me this way. If they don't like their job, they probably won't have it for much longer because they will go out of business with a work ethic like that. Won't be shopping here ever again.

Unfortunate that the malls closed. I love this store. I visited during the time the mall was open & amazing! They continously cleaned between customers & were all wearing gloves and masks. Aside from requirement I never heard an employee complain! There customer service is great. Truly saddening to see the low reviews this place gets. The quality of clothes is amazing! To find such cheap clothes for five kids is always a blessing. The kind young women helped me so much! Even offered fashion advice to my oldest (12 years old)! Overall, my experience was great and I'm so excited to continue shopping here. Expecting my sixth in October! There newborn sections so cute.

10/19/18 I received a email stating I have a $50 off coupon as well as a $5 off coupon all in one email. I couldn't believe my eyes about the $50 off coupon, and went to the mall just to go shop at The Children's place to use my coupon! I walked into the store and confirmed with a employee if I was reading the coupon correctly. The employee stated yes, "buy $50 worth of clothes get $50 off with coupon. So I went ahead and started shopping with excitement. I then go to check out as my coupon is not being excepted because "it was used already". I told the employee I hadn't used the coupon yet as I had just received it and even showed her the formal email to show proof. I refreshed my email and as I'm dealing with this purchase I received a new email stating "sorry for the inconvieunce but you received the wrong coupon". I showed the employee as I'm now frustrated because it seems unbelievable. The employee stated that they can not validate the $50 off coupon without a override code or help me until I get the code from customer service. I called customer service right then and there and they were closed. So I walked out helpless and furious without purchasing any of my items. I called customer service this morning 10/20/2018 and spoke to a guy named Nor. He stated that he noticed their system sent out incorrect coupons. I stated that I felt like I should get the coupon validated since it was a tease and wrong information sent to MY email. I stated I'm not in the wrong at all in this situation and feel that this has to be escalated to it doesn't happen again to myself or anyone else as it's false information. Nor stated that he can only give me a $5 off coupon. I informed him that I don't feel like that is reasonable and asked to speak to someone higher then him. Nor then disconnected my call. I called back and the same guy Nor happened to get my call and I explained to him that I'm the same customer he had just disconnected the call on and tried to continue the conversation so I could get better assistance as I'm not satisfied with my overall experience and he disconnected the call once again. So here I am left with concern if this is some kind of crocked business and why I have a credit card account with them. All in all, I'm left with disbelief of this awful experience and don't know how else to escalate this situation! Never giving this store business again and disgusted and will not recommend shopping at this store!

From the time we walked in no one greeted us. The employees followed us around the store pretending to fold everything i touched. Then when i had question for the manager she attempted to answer me loudly from across another register. VERY RUDE i wont be patronizing this childrens place ever again.

The absolute worst customer service EVER. I've gone into this store a few times and have yet to have a remotely positive experience. No one who works here wants to be helpful or even cares - lines are long and take forever (they will close lines down for no apparent reason, the store is messy, once I literally couldn't find an employee anywhere and this store isn't even big.

This place is a joke!! Do not, I got to the store at 9:55. They are suppose to open at 10am. I waited outside of the store till 10:10 with doors locked and no on in the store. The security guard even came by to check to see if someone was in there. I was returning three pairs of shoes. Two without tags and one with tags. All the same, just different size (I have twin girls). The sales girl (looked to be the manager), said she couldn't take back the two pairs of shoes cause they were used and no tags. I had already explained that my girls ripped off the tags and put them on and wore them in the kitchen and said they hurt their feet. She kept saying over and over, they are used with no tags I can't take them. Really? Not to mention she was beyond rude. Do you have kids? Kids rip off tags all the time, they are kids, and then the poor girls say the shoes hurt to wear them. Obviously Children's Place doesn't stand by their stuff. I almost went to the bathroom and wiped the dust off he bottom of the shoes and returned, uh they aren't used. Wasn't worth my time with a sales girl rude like that. Used to me is, let's where them for weeks and play and dirt and mud. Not try them on and walk around and take them off. If that's the case we would never try shoes on and walk in them to see how they feel. Beyond frustrated and upset. After returning I was about to spend $100's of dollars on my cute adorable twins. Needless to say I walked out and will not be returning to that store or Children's Place at all. It's a shame cause they have cute stuff. And the owner seriously needs to fire whoever it is that was late to work and then totally disregards customers and treats paying customers the way she did. She acted like I was a criminal and not a mother of two 4 years old who tried on a pair of shoes.
