“Great little sustainable gem in downtown San Jose! Mostly women's clothing with some men's vintage items. All items are hand curated by the owner Araceli who is super nice and helpful. Free two hour parking in the parking garage behind the shop.”
“Buying/ selling this place is where I would sell as they take very high end vintage items along with everyday where. So the price ranges. Pair jeans 20 designer under 100 they pay better than any other place as items they sell very fairly priced in comparison to pay.”

“Today I was in warehouse got impressed by their owner a great lady who took me for tour it was great every body was grading shoes & cloths for shipping overseas. After all of this detail tour I have decided to have numbness with any rag .”
“This store contains great vintage furniture and home decor. It’s nothing like sorting through the Goodwill home goods section. As for the pricing, it’s a bit high but I can tell it’s worth it. There were several items that I would shell out $$$ for. I will return after some time to see what new pieces they have.”
“You could get lost for hours.
Sections are done by eras, and they have a plethora of eras! True vintage wear!
Not to mention, the staff is a hoot.
Each one assisted guests in locating items they were potentially looking for.
For a plus-size gal, sure, you may not find many items of clothing, but what you do find is a plethora of accessories!
My favorite buy that day, a custom vintage suit for the husband. Couldn't believe how it fit him!
Upstairs was like walking into my youth ideal closet (80s - 90s). Def a nostalgic moment.
So if you need a specific era outfit, stop here and take a gander! I'm sure you will find what you need.”
“A very cute thrift store in Japantown! My partner and I have been a couple of times, and always leave with a couple of trinkets. They have a decent selection of Sanrio items, clothing, Smiskis, and Sonny Angels. They also have stickers and keychains from local creators. We’ll be back!”
“The ladies were friendly and knowledgeable. I found two vintage cut-glass glasses and a metal carnival horse. They had this cute purse made out of cork. I'm a wine drinker so I thought it was so cute. I want to make my own some day.”
“My Daughters are always pleased to shop here. All that counts is a smile on my daughter’s faces, knowing they are feeling confident. And happy with the good deals.
Thankyou Plato’s closet. Be visiting soon”
“Good selection of clothing and friendly workers. Prices are a little high, but I'm used to non-California prices so Im not sure if it's the norm. They have days and weeks with specific discounts for all clothing or specific categories/tags, so look out for those. Also suggest joining their mailing list beforehand to get a coupon for 25% 1 item. July 26-27 is every clothing item for $3 each, so I'd suggest going then. Was annoyed one of the fitting room doors was broken, but the one I used was clean and well-kept.
Prices I noticed/bought from:
Shirts: $6-$12
Shorts: $6-$8
Pants: $8-$12
Dresses: $9-$13
Purses/bags: $15-$25”
“Nice spot for watching movies, staff is kinda lazy and talk really low and lazy. They don’t give good direction when it comes to sending you to certain screens”
“Highly recommend this thrift spot and it is still my number one place to go. The staff is nice here and they are helpful when I am looking at items behind the counter or on the wall. Store is organized and nice to shop around. I always find something here or if not then I enjoy my time looking around.
?????”
“I always find great things here !! Selling is really good here too and i appreciate the employees being honest about what they are looking for and giving me advice on what to bring. So I'm successful in selling. But honestly, this place is worth coming to, especially early once they open to at least get a little bit of time to find your gems. I really love this place.?❤️

“A hyperlocal hipster blend of Japantown pride, cool Bay Area finds (like Unami Mart goodies), "were you there?" vintage, and even handcrafted goods from the local senior center. Perfect shop to have next to the Moment / SJMade store a different look but the same local vibe. Oh the shop owner is super nice and laid back, might even offer you a coffee when you come in. And they just celebrated 1 year, so go show them some love!”
