WORST customer service ever! I pre-paid and pre-checked in. When I arrived, I was yelled at and refused service. They moved my reservation to the following day, meaning I was out 2 Uber rides and stranded. Saving grace was Corporate credited me the 2 Ubers after I called to make a formal complaint. We'll see if I actually get the car tomorrow.......... ARRRGGGHHHH

The two ladies who work here often are very nice, but I've had two rentals here and they were both a disaster. The first time they didn't have the vehicle I rented and today they didn't even have a vehicle for me. I will never come here again.

I don’t know why we have to give this one star to leave a review. This is the absolute worst experience with a rental car company, EVER. I will pay more with Enterprise from now on just to avoid this company. Picked up our non-smoking rental at the airport for our family vacation and we’ve been gagging on cigarette smoke. There was ants in the car crawling all over my kids. This morning I’ve been trying to talk to someone for over an HOUR on hold. Who has time for this while they’re on vacation?? Disgrace.

If I could give zero I would do it. They gave our PREPAID rental car away to someone else and had nothing to give us. The person was rude and short with me. Good thing Hertz was located right around the corner. Budget has lost a customer due to this horrible San Juan Capistrano location

I rented a car on line for three days and when I arrived Budget did not have my car. They only had more expensive cars. Needing a car I had no choice but to take the more expensive car. Because of change in plans I had to return the car early in the morning before the office opened. There is no drop box for keys and I was told if I left the keys in the car I would accept the risk of a stolen car. I ask if I could return it at the airport (a 30 minute drive) and was told I could but there was a $300 charge. I was a preferred Budget customer but I am no longer. I would recommend you not rent from the s office.

I'm a retired nfl athlete that does ALOT of travel. I go nowhere else to revert a car. They give personal service, they are understanding, they are simply the best. When there's an issue, they quickly find an answer. They are a smaller branch, but they always have great cars and pricing. SERIOUSLY this is the best place to go. They even gave me a Christmas gift. Absolutely love them. Thankyou again I love your branch, -Samuel

I would like to give them half a star but there is no that kind of option. One of the worst rental service in the world. I reserved truck for moving and they just called me at 5 pm and said we don't have the truck for your pick up time tomorrow at 8 am. The explanation was: " That happens man". They gave me a promise to solve this problem and to find truck for me then silence, no call back, no excuses. Definitely not recommend service. Super unprofessional, rude and unhelpful!

Just awful experience. Rented car from site days in advance. Day of trip called to ensure they had my reserved SUV. No one answered! Called for another hour. Finally a lady answered saying "No... we don't have any cars. Feel free to reserve elsewhere." with a major attitude as if I have done something wrong. They screwed me over and gave me an attitude. I had to pay almost 1.5X more to rent another SUV for same day rental from competitor. Shame shame shame!!!

The manager on duty was great and patient, the system would not take my card because it was a temporary card (I was awaiting my new one in the mail) so if you have to travel, please note this...she had to manually bypass the system, and they should have just called and given their merchant number through their system, this gal was running around getting cars, and dealing with so much I felt bad for her Didnt change the fact that it was SO stressful ALSO...THEY KEEP DINGING MY ACCOUNT this month OVER and OVER (I had to make dispute charges)...I had originally called budget rent a car, and this is happening over and over, even a month later, Clever that they tried to charge me with the AVIS name not Budget (whom I made the original reservation with)..this made HUGE problems for me and my account.........BEWARE PEOPLE!!!!!

Rented a car to drive to San Diego Airport. Car reeked of cigarettes, so gross! Made me cough. Received the car with 2/3 full tank and we were told to bring it back with the same, which we did. Lady at San Diego was very rude and said we would have to pay $8.00 a gallon to fill it up. Told us to go talk to customer service. She said said all budget are privately owned and had no record of this. Customer service said we were good to go. Hoping that there won't be a charge on our visa. Bad experience!

We were returning our car to Budget San Juan Capistrano after having picked the car up at LAX. It was a welcome relief to have someone so friendly and accommodating to meet us as we drove up. Very efficient and friendly with a big smile on her face. Could not ask for more. We will definitely use this Budget again if we need a car in San Juan. Thank you Jackie! A smile makes a big difference when you meet folks.
