Had an account at F&M and had such a great experience with the tellers and management, that we recently consolidated other accounts to F&M and will be moving a 401(k) over as well. We usually deal with Marcos, who is amazing, but the tellers are all knowledgeable and friendly as well. They are all about customer service!!! Nothing bad to say about this bank at all!!!

I had to go this branch to sign a joint check that was written to a services business and myself by my insurance company. I showed up with my CA DL that had the name and address as was printed on the check. The teller asked for a ID from the services business representative and myself. She had both of us sign it in her presence and noticed that she wrote down more detail from my DL, including name, address, expiration and issue dates, than I knew was there. Then she asked me for my finger print on the check! I have been banking for many many years and have been in many banks in US as well as in the EU, but I have never even heard they need a finger print in addition to proper ID to deposit a check. I can see providing a finger print for such thing as a passport application or will but never to deposit a check. I was surprised and very irritated with what I saw here. I could not help but come away with the idea that the color of my skin had something do with it as the other party did not need to provide a finger print.The service at this bank is totally unacceptable. I do not bank at a Famers and & Merchant Bank; I have been a credit union client for the last 28 years and visiting this F&M Bank branch provided a reminder why I should stick with my credit union!

Farmers And Merchants Bank in San Juan Capistrano is very knowledgeable and courteous. Adalena was awesome in taking care of our banking needs and technical needs processing our online banking.

Adelina Navarro, Banking Relationship Specialist, is top notch. The first day I opened a checking account she demonstrated knowledge, expertise, experience, and commitment to serving my banking needs. Marcos Reyes, Vice President and Bank Manager, is personally involved with clients and leads an amazing team. I highly recommend Farmers & Merchants Bank, and in particular, this branch location (Del Obispo, SJC)

Cashed a check and the teller made me feel like a criminal. Asked for my occupation and called the person who wrote the check. It was only for $2,000 but she made it very awkward.

would give a 0/5 if i could. not only is there a problem literally EVERY SINGLE TIME, but the employees, especially the operations manager, are EXTREMELY unprofessional. part of their job is customer service and they obviously either don't know or completely forgot. they are nothing but rude except for this one man who was helping me one time (still ended up having an issue with them in that scenario as well but it was not his fault, it was the bank's). after every single visit, i always have to call my home branch off of katella in orange to have them clean up the mess the San Juan branch has made. i am writing this acknowledging the fact that i will get just an "i'm sorry" response instead of an actual change as that's how it just is with this branch. The operations manager, Grace something, is EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. i have no clue how someone with that much of a lack of customer service can earn that title she has.

We are glad that there are banks like these available. We moved our account from another bank to Farmers & Merchants Bank and we have been very pleased with their customers service and the way the do banking. I recommend it.

From their kind and helpful in-bank staff to their kind and helpful online and telephone staff to their excellent security protocols, FMB is concierge banking for people without huge account balances. I wish everything in California was run as well as this bank.

I was dreading having to update my banking information since my financial information had been compromised, and Aldo listened to my concerns and helped me choose the right accounts for my purposes since my old accounts weren't being offered anymore. As a consumer this branch has always been positive and trustworthy and Aldo encompasses all of the right things with the institution, and it's his integrity and customer service that makes me want to actively stay with this specific bank instead of going to another institution. Aldo sat with me, listened to my concerns, recommended the right products for me, answered all of my questions, and followed up with me to make sure everything was in order like checks and debit cards. I cannot recommend his service enough. In an age where most banks treat you like numbers and dollar signs and outsource their service to centralized call centers, having someone face to face to assist me with my financial concerns was an absolutely fantastic experience.

Farmers & Merchants Bank is the absolute best bank in San Juan Capistrano, CA. They never fail to go above and beyond to handle any need professionally and with care. Marco's Reyes is an outstanding leader as well. Even though we have moved to another state, we continue to benk with F& M because of this.

Some really nice ladies working here, but general customer service is pretty weak, especially if you call in. Half the time or more, nobody answers the phone. Don't bother leaving a voice-mail. I've never received a return call. Bizarre! No way that I would bank here, but the business that I do books for does, so I'm stuck.
