I was greeted upon entry. That in itself is a plus, considering the state of customer service right now. Any who, we all know beauty supply stores and their prices. Too damn high! But beggars can't be choosers. Im going to a tea party. Amazon dropped the ball and my package was not delivered. 3 hours before the event i am sad that my 'look' won't come to fruition. This beauty supply is closest one near me. I figure they had a head piece but i also wanted lace gloves (i needed a petty coat also but that miracle was beyond reach). The young ladies were SO kind. Do you know she called the owner to ask where the lace gloves were bc she knew they had some but couldn't locate them!! What a gem! I got my head piece and gloves!! CLUTCH!

My bad for waiting until the last minute to buy my "hair" for box braids. I went to an unfamiliar store after showing homes in the area. It was getting late and my appointment for braids was the next morning so I looked up beauty supply store nearby on Yelp. I arrived quickly and knew exactly what I needed, so I walked in and scanned the store and walked straight to the hair section. No one greeted me or asked if I needed help. Well, there was one lady that worked there that followed me around uncomfortably from the moment I walked in. I went straight to the extensions and looked for my brand, color and length. I did not see it. ( they didn't have it). She was standing behind me and asked what I was looking for so I gave her the specifics. She said oh I know what you want and she pointed out a different brand but the length and similar color. I went with it simply because I ran out of time. Then I was browsing the makeup and gifts to see if I could take care of any Christmas gift items or something for myself. At that point I had not only her but another worker following me around! Like they thought I was going to steal! I gave up on the perusing and just bought the pack of hair. While I was waiting to pay, I noticed they were taking care of a customer that they knew, with warm greetings and "see you soon" I don't know if that's just how they treat old vs. new customer, but it was simply rude. Well, when I went to my hair stylist the next day, I showed her what I had to work with and she said, well this doesn't compare, so you may not be happy with the result. It felt very "plastic" to the touch and she had to cut many pieces that were just sticking out ( too stiff) She did the best she could so I have to live with it at least through Christmas.

Love this store. The staff is super nice and always ready to help. They make sure that there is hand sanitizer before you come in.

The Asian lady that owns this place has a bad attitude. When we walked in, she didn't greet us, she just glared at us. That alone made me not want to buy anything from her shop. Take your money elsewhere.

To yelp reviewers: this is the worst store I have ever shopped at or had the worst, humiliating experience. They only got one star, because of the inventory. I am an affluent, well-educated African American woman. My last visit to the store resulting in me almost totally losing it. With everyone having cameras, I finally pulled my self together and walked out - vowing never, ever to go in there again. It simply is not worth it in this day and age, rather use the great tool of yelp to share your views and just hope people value the input and resist supporting a business that treats customers so poorly. It started with them not being able to process my credit card - not because of no-funds, but they have old machines that work inconsistently. After assuring them my card had worked perfectly in every other store, I asked her to rerun the card. After 2 times, she commenced "yelling" at me because "their" machine is clearly old and rickety. I could have perfectly respected her apologies. What was totally unacceptable was the yelling. Yelpers, I BEG you not to support this store. Although these owners are Asian-Americans, had I treated them with the disrespect that they treated me, I would have been all over the news. I have noticed them talking to and treating other minorities, with similar disrespect. PLEASE do not patronize this store. The previous negative reviews are right on the money. From here on out, while the location is convenient, I will NOT step foot in the store. And I ask yelpers to think carefully about patronizing a store which profoundly disrespect customers.

I enjoy browsing and buying. The owners are nice and helpful. The aisles are narrow but you can find anything for beauty, hair, beard, clippers, blowers, whatever. Prices are not the lowest but it's a one stop shop with product overload. As always, I LOVE free parking and nearby shopping. Do not leave valuables in your car. There's lots of shade wandering around peeking in cars. San Leandro PD is on scene now with lights flashing for real.

So a few weeks I went into this Establishment with my little one when I got to the door there's a sanitizing station we stopped at the table to sanitize our hands. As I looked up I noticed all three employees looking at me for a good 10 seconds none of them greeting me or saying hello just staring at me. I brushed it off and continued to walk inside of the store. One store clerk immediately comes down from the register and walks in the same direction I'm walking in. Noticed that she starts fumbling with a couple of items in the aisle to look "busy" I stopped to ask her where the jam is located. She pointed to the next aisle. I walked down that aisle and started looking at the different sizes of jam and also the price, the price seems a little high but I was still willing to get what I needed. I looked over and the same store clerk is directly to my left once again fumbling with items placed on a table. This is when I started to feel uncomfortable. I assumed she was watching me which she was. I then walked towards her and got in line as soon as she saw me walking towards the line suddenly the items she had been fumble with were all of a sudden not important. I'm that moment I thought why would I spend my money here? Why would I let some judge me and make me feel so low and still give me hard earn money away to them. As she was walking pass me a hand her the item and said "Here you go, I don't want this. At that point me and my little one left the store. I wrote this review one because my feelings were hurt and two because I won't others to know.

I go there all the time. I was there last week and purchased a ponytail. The owner of the store helped me out with the right color. I went home put the ponytail on. I noticed it was kind of tangled. I figure it would untangle and fall in place after a few days. By day two it was really tangled and looked like I had it for weeks. I spent $14.99 and was very upset. I went there today to purchase a different ponytail. This time the owner was busy so a lady helped me. She couldn't figure out the right color and asked my daughter to help. I said you should know you work here. I also mentioned about my last ponytail experience. She began to laugh and tell the other lady there in a different language. They began to laugh and the owner. I said that's not funny. I come here all the time. I happen to get a bad ponytail and you laugh at me?? That's not right. Then you speak your language and laugh. You take my money but show no emotion that the ponytail wasn't what it was suppose to be.. Bad customer service. I wasn't looking for a discount but at least seem concern something was wrong with the PONYTAIL. Then the ponytail I wanted today was locked. I said can you take it out so I can at least make sure it's good. That was a problem but I still purchased it because my daughter bought something. Sounds like they only concerned about getting your money and talk about you. I will never go back there!! I was highly upset, disappointed, and couldn't believe my experience today..

Good store, lots of hair products, nice staff members who are actually helpful! I got everything to do my hair here. Bleach, toner, dye, gloves, they have it all! Great selection in Wella items too!

I just received my online order, opened the box and its EMPTY. I tried calling their 866-234-9442 and it disconnects my call. I've called 3 times and the same thing. I spent close to 50.00 and to receive an empty box, just not right. Cannot even reach cust svc to complain and find out how they will correct their error!!! Very frustrating!!! JUST NOT RIGHT!@ NOR FAIR TO ME!! Especially going thru this SHELTER IN PLACE, dealing with enough right. We all are and to receive an EMPTY BOX!!
