My car has been to this dealership over 4 times for the same exact problem! This last visit was horrible, my car was in their shop over 4 months for the same problem they already serviced and repaired over 4 times. Now my car is back in the shop at different ford dealership for the same exact problem! Also a leak that was already there that they didn’t catch or repair. After 5 horrible exhausting months I was called to pick up my car. When I arrived my car had not been pulled out, and guess what it wouldn’t even start! Battery was completely dead which meant it had not been test driven before my arrival. Test drive my car and noticed it wasn’t driving appropriately and left it there! Mind you this is after 5 months of patiently waiting for my vehicle to be repaired. So about a week later I got a call my car was officially ready! Went to dealership to pick up my car test drove everything seems yo be fine but it wasn’t. Leave car again! Get a call about a week later to pick up my car. Oh no, drive away get on freeway and now my is smoking. Exit the highway to a safe location, turn car off now it doesn’t turn back on. Tow truck driver arrives to find that the caps were not on under hood and that was the reason for my car smoking. So now I’m back at the dealership after 5 agonizing months and less then 1hr of picking up my vehicle. Received a call about 3 days later to pick up my vehicle once again! Go to pick up my vehicle everything seems to be fine. No! Less than 2 months later my car is currently back in the shop with the same exact issue plus a leak that should have been caught by service technicians! But wait! Adding to all this the customer service here is beyond horrible. Paul the service manager was no help to me! Extremely rude and eventually I had to involve Ford corporate office. I have two warranties on my vehicle, I never received updates through out the duration of my vehicle being serviced I had to call to get updates. I was told by Paul (service manager) that he wasn’t paying for my rental car! He couldn’t find anyone to pay for my rental car ( exact words) once corporate offices got involved they covered my rental and was extremely understanding of the situation. Also there was another customer there when I went to get my car and she was towing her car out of there sho because it had been there over 3 months and hadn’t been touched. This location is a hostile environment, and need to be looked into immediately. I was happy when I bought my car from ford initially but this has been hell. My car has been in the shop more than I’ve driven it. This experience has made me rethink being a ford customer!

San Leandro Ford service plan and service are a complete rip off!I purchased a service plan with my new truck from San Leandro Ford and took my vehicle in twice a year for maintenance using my plan. On several occasions items that were checked off their checklist of items serviced were not actually done. The very first item on the checklist is “filled windshield wiper fluid”. Each and every time the fluid was not filled. The last time it was bone dry which I knew before hand and wanted to see if they noticed and of course they did not even though it was the very first item in the checklist. You can only imagine what else was not completed from their list of maintenance items that I paid for were not serviced such as oil change and filter, other fluids, etc. Rotation of tires, I marked my tire knowing which side it came from and as expected when I picked up my vehicle that tire was in the exact same position. I prepaid for my maintenance so it wasn’t like these were free. Also, the entire time over the years of service I am told that I have X amount of services left in my plan. I was assured multiple times I “will get what I paid for”. I recently went in for scheduled service with the expectation that I had 2 services remaining just to show up in the morning to be told that I did have 2 left but my plan had expired! How does something you paid for expire??? I have low mileage in my vehicle and of course it was due for 50,000 service and I was also told at my last service that they will be doing my brakes at my next service as part of my plan. Now I am left without 2 major maintenance items that I was assured were covered. I was told I can still have my truck worked on but is going to cost me so I took back my keys and drove off and away from this scam of a dealership. I am not the only one that has had these same issues! Do not buy or service your vehicle at San Leandro Ford.

Had a great experience working with San Leandro Ford!We drove almost 2 hours each way, solely because of James' responsiveness and willingness to work with us on making a deal happen that worked for us (with $0 markup over MSRP).James went out of his way to make sure the entire process went smoothly; he (and Thomas) definitely demonstrated their knowledge and proficiency in the process, and were all around great to work with.Definitely recommend San Leandro Ford!

Grant was very helpful and patient with me as we discussed the process of getting my vehicle. When I told him I needed a ride to pick up my new truck he offered to pick me up. Very nice guy! I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a Ford vehicle

I had a very good experience at The Ford Store San Leandro. I ordered my 2023 Bronco in July and picked it up at the end of September. The best part is I paid MSRP and got my own financing through my credit union. I can definitely recommend The Ford Store if you’re looking to order a new vehicle and not having to worry about high pressure sales tactics. I love my new bronco !

Hamid Seifi was super helpful with all my leasing questions and gave me all the info I needed to make a decision. Even when I decided not to buy from San Leandro Ford he still helped me out any way that he could in getting me answers. Excellent customer service and when I need another Ford I’ll be back.

I should've read these reviews first. Everyone who works here is friendly but whoever's in charge is unfair and greedy. I was charged $1400 to repair a broken fuse which could've been done for probably a couple hundred bucks or maybe a tiny bit more. I brought my car back because my car steering went out and I was quoted $2700 for the parts and $2000 for labor and had to pay $265 for them to tell me this. I should've gone to a different repair shop who would've given me a free quote. I only agreed to pay the $265 for them to tell me what was wrong with the car because the guy there told me that although the other mechanics do a free quote they charge even more for labor which was a flat out lie.I Bought the parts online last night for $750 after tax and I just scheduled the repair elsewhere for a total labor cost of $865 so they quoted me at $4700 and I'm getting it done for $1615. Over here they charge about quadruple or more for parts and charge about 3 times more what the labor should cost. Nothing against the people I personally spoke with as they are friendly but I certainly will never be returning as whoever sets the pricing tries to rip you off hugely.

Ford Service:To save myself time, just read all the other one star reviews as that is EXACTLY my experience! The only redeemable quality of this shitty department is the receptionists! Every time I call they have done their best to get me the answers! Ford needs to reconsider their Service Manager/Department as I have never seen such a s*** show! Communication does not exist amongst that team!

Responsive, service oriented and helpful sales person, sales manager and finance person (handled the sales paperwork). Would recommend. Ask for Antonio Trejo Hernandez.I have owned a few Fords and still own another Ford. Purchased my first EV...so I had many questions. San Leandro had a great selection and offered very competitive pricing. No slick salesmanship, which I appreciated.

we recently purchased a 2023 Bronco and the dealership was great everyone was nice and made the whole experience worth the trip up from monterey. Our salesperson was Joe Fogarty and Joe was patient and gave us the time to look around and decide on our choice. He helped us navigate the process and we would highly recommend asking for him if you stop by the dealership

Service department isn’t good. Brought it in for service on a Monday early morning, I told them I needed it before Wednesday morning, my service guy said “No problem” and I went on with my day, no problems at this point.It’s midday on Tuesday, getting a little worried because no one has contacted me, but I give them a chance. It’s now close to closing, no one has contacted me, I’ve called the service department several times and they kept telling me my service technician was busy and would return my call - again, no call. I need my car so I have my mom physically drive me down there and I have to ask for my car back. I get my car back only to find out NOTHING was done to it…what a waste of time, poor communication, lack of responsibility. Service technician says “we don’t have the parts, I swore we had them but they should arrive Monday, we’ll reach out to you.” At this point I don’t care since I know NO ONE will reach out to me (No one has reached out to me, but don’t bother). It gets better - there’s only one way to drive out, but there’s a car blocking my car and they can’t find the key to the car! So I sit in my car for 15 minutes while they run around trying to find the key. Anyways, never again.

I brought my truck in for a small mechanical issue with the window. Not only did they fix it within 2 hours, but they delivered my truck to my house afterwards! Saved me a ton of time and was extremely helpful. Great Service!

Always good place to shop for vehicles. Good selection, good people. Have bought a few cars from them including referring my family. Only reason I put 1 less star is because they seem to get greedy now. Ordered a car, they said can't go lower on price. Went to another dealership which offered $1,100 less. So they did a trade and got me the same car I ordered for $1,100 less. This dealership could have done that from the start to save me time and a sale for them.
