The young lady with curly hair and freckles at the register was kind & professional. The two older women cutting fabric didn't appear to have joy. I was looking for tailor's chalk, and I said, "Excuse me," to the fabric lady and she walked off like I wasn't talking to her..lol. I circled back, and before I could say, "Excu," again, she answered, "How can I help you?" She directed me to what I was looking for, and I went about my business. The store is your typical fabric store. You'll do a couple of laps before you find what you're looking for. Would I return? Absolutely.

One employee was so rude yelling at me and the other shoppers to leave 5 minutes before closing.I understand wanting to close on time but she was just flat out disrespectful.

Love this stores yarn selection but the store hours have changed from 9 to 7.. I can't go unless it's on weekends or I get off early. 8 would be perfect timing oh well.

I find the selection and prices nice, however, the store is often messy when i go in. Makes it harder for me to find what I need and sometimes the employees take forever to come and unlock the cages for the locked up stuff. Giving it 4 stars because i understand working retail and being understaffed to an extent.

Store did not have spray paint .... web showed they sell it,but guess not there. Very large and nice store, but pricey!

Had the absolute worst experience today. I went in to get fabric for my job and was told to get 10ftx2ft. The woman at the counter, Barbara, seemed absolutely irritated by my presence. I walked up using their ruler on the counter to try and figure out if could keep it folded the way it was for the 2 ft and she got very angry I didn't see the width on the bottom of the cardboard it was rolled onto. I saw 2 percentages (what the fabric was made of) and a length in yards and I said '25 yards' out loud and she responded loudly 'Wrong answer' and highlighted '41 in' and tossed it back down on the counter. I then told her I needed 2 5ft pieces and she said she couldn't do that, she can only do it in the system as yards. As far as I knew, a yard was 36 inches, 3 feet - all part of the same measurement system. I've shopped for fabric maybe 4 times in my life but I know the last time I went there (3ish years ago) I was able to tell them what I needed in inches and the associate worked with me and explained on the ticket it would say the length in yards, and I was okay with that. She was visibly offended I said inches and berated me while I was trying to then figure out how to say it in a way that didn't piss her off. The woman who walked up next asked where the ticket system was but was treated like an idiot for asking. I've been there multiple times when it was there but today it wasn't. When the woman walked up, the screen even said 2, like tickets were pulled. It was not a dumb question. The screen changed to 0 and that made Barbara very smug. I go on to explain my work project and she keeps talking over me so I tell her I can go somewhere else because she was being really mean. I have worked in many many food service and retail jobs and I have never spoken to people the way she she spoke to me even when people were rude and called me slurs. Barbara should not work in customer service or with people at all. I had to leave empty handed and take my money elsewhere. If you see Barbara, just turn around, you'd be treated better by a schoolyard bully.

Unacceptable employee!!! I took my kids on Black Friday to this store (a few days ago). An employee by the name of Trish yelled at my kids for doing nothing but giggling and minding their own business. Joann's a department store is not a place to be mute. We enjoy shopping here and that comes with looking at beautiful things and having fun at the same time! Trish you should be ashamed of yourself for yelling at my kids! If you have a problem with people laughing while they're shopping, RETAIL is not for you LADY!!!

Terrible service I asked for a particular type of fabric and the lady who was actually cutting the fabric said "it's somewhere over there" and pointed at the wall then she passes me again and give me a disgusting look like I did something to her. The cashier looked at me with a death stare when I was wait for someone to come to the register, didn't say hello or anything. Then rung me up and gave me my receipt and didn't mumble a word not a thank you have a good day or anything. Unfortunately I have somewhere to be but I will be back to return all $140 I spent with them. Terrible service.

decent store but wouldn't let us use the restroom even though they let us use it when we shopped here a couple weeks ago when they had an "out of service" sign on the door.. so you don't take care of the restrooms for your employees? or you're lying to customers. either way, irresponsible business not taking care of employees and/or customers. don't shop here unless you have an iron bladder.

I came to Joann's looking for heavy thread to fix a kneepad. At the thread section, I asked a nearby saleswoman for help. She seemed irritated at being interrupted, and took her time getting over to me. She answered my question as quickly as she could, and didn't follow up when it was obvious her suggestion wouldn't work for me. I left the story sorry that I had taken the time to shop here, and resolved never to enter the store again. Buyer, beware!

The store is organized and clean. However, the old lady working at the fabrics has a crappy attitude. She's not very polite and offers snippy unnecessary comments. She reminds me of the old grumpy relatives we all have. It would be nice for management to remind her that she works in customer service and her most important job is to assist customers.

I never see too many places with magazines any more now that the internet has become a main point of reference. However, I came to Joann's fabrics looking for a good read! I found a herbalist book in the magazine section which was pretty cool. I also decided to browse around and look at some other things like they're fabrics (because duh it's Joanne's lol). They always have great deals on their fabrics! If you are a person who likes to sew or participate in creating crafty art, then definitely come to Joanne's!
