New Sang Chong Market is a typical Asian supermarket and a neighborhood market in San Leandro. It carries all the necessities, including a variety of fresh vegetables, fresh fish and seafood, fresh meats, and groceries. It has a good size meat counter and seafood section, with items like live Dungeness crab. The market offers lots of noodles, snacks, canned foods, and frozen foods, plus all the Asian sauces and spices you may need. A biggest standout is their food deli for roasted meat needs, with some of the best roasted ducks and pretty decent roasted pork and roast pig. They have recently finished an amazing exterior renovation. The interior is nicely laid out, though it could use an update. It is a fun place to shop with good prices for a local store.
This super market is good but when you buy cilantro, be careful.the one on the left is not cilantro it’s something else. I almost chopped the whole thing.
