I brought my vehicle here for a repair. The guy helping me said it’ll be $3000 to repair everything. I had my car towed to a different reputable auto repair shop and they quoted me $1200 for the exact same services.The reason I towed my car to a different shop was because I felt like the worker was pressuring me to make a decision for a price that I knew was way too much.

This place charges a lot for services. I did a full tune-up. I have a very basic car without any fancy features, and it's a 2015 car. I didn't pay much buying this car, but the tune-up was almost $2000 -- more than half of the purchasing amount...My car got partially vandalized recently. I wanted this place to do the repairs. I called, and they told me they no longer take vandalized vehicles... Okay, fine. I'm not trying to think about anything in an "evil" way, but as a repair service, not taking any vandalized vehicles sounds quite strange...

I took my chances and came here for the first time since I refuse to go back to KIA of Newark after an incident that happened between me and the service manager there. My experience here at San Leandro Kia was FANTASTIC! I got there at 10:15 for a 10:40 appt. I parked my car in the line and Chris came out to me within 5 minutes of being there. I told him I just needed my regular car maintenance done. He told me no worries and that I have the option of either waiting in the customer lounge or they'll call me a lyft to take me home and bring me back to pick up my car. I was amazed! I've been going to KIA of Newark and never have I been offered any pickup/drop off services. I either have to sit there or need to have someone come pick me up. The fact that lyft was offered at San Leandro Kia was an absolute plus for me! Service was completed along with my vehicle being detailed within about 3 hours. Chris kept me updated via text from start to finish. I truly appreciated the professionalism Chris showed me. I am now going to be a regular at San Leandro Kia. Michelle has referred me to Kia Corporate because my car has been broken into once with extensive damage and thieves tried again but a neighbor yelled and they fled in a car with no plates. I am trying to get an anti thief kit put on my 2015 Kia Soul. The service department does not have the part and I am angry at Kia for not correcting their mistake. Thank you Michelle for the number. Keep up your great work.

Had to update this: my car left worse than it came in service. They deflated all tires, they didn’t mark maintenance as completed in the computer, and they just rubbed a dirty cloth in my car’s windshield. To make things worse each time I call to follow up I’m redirected to a phone number nobody picks up!

This place is what nightmares are made of. Dropped my car on a Monday to get a recall service that I was told would take a maximum of 2 days to get completed. Wednesday I received a call from them letting me know that the part they were waiting for had arrived and if I could bring my vehicle back (my car was there) they didn't even know they still had possession of my car. I asked the lady for an update and she said she would have my advisor give me a call, never received a call from anyone. Fast forward to Friday. I had to call them because I still hadn't received any updates. They then tell me that the car is not going to be ready until Tuesday which I find ridiculous since they've had the part since Wednesday. Tuesday I had to call them because again no communication and they tell me the car is ready. It took them 8 days for something that should have taken no more than 3 days, zero communication on the delays, now I'm here waiting to pick up my car and it's been over 30 min and they haven't brought up the car eventhoug it is supposed to be ready to go. BEWARE! Took my Kia in because my engine started to knock bad. 2 weeks later the car still there with no work done too it. I get a call saying my car has a bad battery and I need to buy one from them so they can start doing diagnostics. Mind you it’s been sitting untouched for 2 WEEKS!. The battery is 8 months old!, I old them and still telling me I need a new battery, that one is bad not holding charge. I go pick it up to because it’s still under warranty. I took it to Walmart and they told me the battery is in great condition and fully charged in 22 minutes!

Don't bring your car here it isn't not worth it. I made an appointment over a month in advance for today 10am and when I arrived they said 30 minutes to just check me in and get my keys. And for a simple 7500 mile checkup I came back end of day 6pm and still not done. They have no idea when they started working on my car nor when it will be ready. This place is not worth it I would never recommend this place to anyone. I have a job and kids and they operate with this lack of transparency and poor communication. I see 4 clerks working and no line of customers and all of their faces reveal the apathy and emotional distress of likely repeated unsatisfied customers.

Really bad service don’t come here unless you want to waste your day. They have my car to change turning signal then took like more than 4 hours . I got here early morning at 8am then got my car back round 1pm.

i have been coming to the San Leandro service center for quite a while bringing my parents and my own car for all the maintenances and as of two months ago things have changed for the worst!! NOW I BELIEVE THAT THIS PLACE IS DOING SOMETHING FRADULANT SINCE NOW THEY ARE OVER CHARGING FOR LABOR AND TO DO BASIC MAINTENANCES!!!! I was extremely unhappy with a few weeks ago i brought in my parents for their due 26,000 mile maintenance and they forgot to actually do the oil change so i went in to request they do it and the rep suggested i do the 30th since it was close to it. Then they surprised me with an $890 price quote which something is wrong i asked aobut my parents maintenance they paid for and he acted like i he did not know what i was talking about which when my parents bought their car at the kia in san leandro they paid for maintenance so it should have covered!!! and today i took in my car for its 60th mile maintenance and the first thing they tell me is my quote is $1223!! i was like what?? this place is crazy to think i am going to pay such a fraudulant price so after i told him i am not paying that he suggested i do the $250 quote price.. this place now is only trying to steal money from people!!! this is extremely fraudulant! after this service i am NO LONGER TAKING MY CAR NOR MY PARENTS CAR! THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL MONEY FROM PEOPLE!!!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had the same experience as one of reviews here. I made an appointment for 11am, kept getting the reminder texts. I arrived at 10:30am and I told the employee I have an appointment at 11am. He asked me what I'm here for, which is an oil change and the usual stuff I get. I was also wondering why the online appointment system asks you all these questions when you make an appointment but it seems that the questionnaire did not matter. I was told it would take 1-1.5 hours to get the oil change done. I went for a walk and came back, noticed my car still sitting in the lot. 3.5 hours later, no update. I asked an employee but it took him awhile to get back to me. He said it should be about another 45 minutes. Had I known making an appointment would take over 4 hours to service my car, I would have gone somewhere. I felt like I wasted half my day waiting at the lobby. As of the time of this review, my car is still not done.

This is the place where I bought my 2022 Kia soul. I bought it on veterans Day of last year in 2021. I love my blessed vehicle. I recommend anybody to go there and purchase a blessing. I'll walked out happy and shouting. Lol

Had a recall on my car, Called made an appointment, Went in for my appointment they told me how long it would and if you don't have a ride they will offer a Lyft ride back to your house and pick you up when the service is done, Nice people very professional.

Brought my father in laws truck in to get his trucks ecm reprogrammed. The lady in the front desk said we would need to diagnosis it which would cost $205. We told her we just need to reprogram it. The truck was then held for a week and on the day we went to pick it up, the Foreman says, we can't reprogram the ecm because that software doesn't exist. We felt confused because if that was the case, then why didn't you guys just tell us before having us leave the truck there and we would of left. But instead they charged us $205 for something that they didn't do because it didn't exist. Never will I trust dealerships again. Will never be back here again. You have been warned.

To the owner of San Leandro nissian auto shop.your manager told me take off the bad reviews or never go to your shop any more ,well I don't think I will ever go to your shop again in my life I already pay 300$ to fix my problem instead of drive to your shop the 3 time and wait for half day then they told me they couldn't fix it.
