We had a great experience working with Quest. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We got to learn a lot about their electric cars in preparation for our purchase.

I have to say, trying to purchase a car through this dealership is frustrating at best, dishonest at worst, depends how one voews the process. Upon contacting this dealer through the Edmunds portal I was contacted by 3 separate individuals, not of who had any idea of the other's presence. I wanted to replace my maturing lease with a new model and thought this wold be a simple transaction. I received 3 different prices for the same stock number and asked the salesmen please get to gether so I could work with one individual. No such luck. I then asked for a detailed lease and what came back was a well crafted game of "hide and seek" with the price. I've leased many cars in my 60 years and can sort through the number with the best of them but this took the art to a new high. When I asked for some explanation (I still have the conversation) i got "ghosted", no further responses. It appears this dealership either doesn't want to sell cars, has so much business that any more is a bother or gets offended when customers ask for clarification. Either way, this dealership lost my business! Management and ownership should be aware.

Others have said the same but they do force carnamic on you (service sucks and constantly tells me the car is moving when it's parked; which stressed me out a handful of times).I've also been trying to reach them for days regarding the cancelation of my maintenance plan and no one picks up. You can really only expect them to sell you the car. Once they have your money, don't expect much help.

Unfortunately I can't put ZERO stars. I'm from LA and I leased a Kia Niro from them but they didn't deliver the car for 11 days after I signed the lease. When I received the car it has 244 miles on the ODO (the signed lease stated ODO is 15 miles). The car was very dirty inside and outside with pets hair everywhere and stains in the rear seat. One day later I realised that one tire was damaged and requires replacement. All of these for supposedly a "new" car that I happen to lease from them. To shut me up they ZELLE me money for the 11 days of delay and the miles they drove the car. Where is KIA USA ???!!!

Our experience at San Leandro Kia was a nightmare. While the initial contact and negotiation was okay, everything after that was horrible. My husband made a comment during the test drive that the air conditioning wasn’t blowing cold air, and the sales person said it just took a minute for the car to warm up. We were then ushered into the room to sign papers and make payment, only to be told AFTER we completed the transaction and gave them the check that there was something wrong with the air conditioning. And this was after they did their supposed check list and inspection. It seems the air compressor was broken on a brand new car with 15 miles on it and parts were backordered. We had to call every time to get updates on status of the car - no proactive communication whatsoever from the dealership, only return calls with often no status or complete misinformation. At one point, we called for an update and the sales manager was surprised we did not have our car yet and it was fixed only to find out the next day that the car wasn’t fixed and the part had still not arrived. I was then contacted by someone from service that the part was en route and would be there in 3-4 days. On day 4 I left a message with no return call, then learned from the sales manager that only 1 of the parts arrived and no ETA for the other. After that we left messages almost daily for the sales manager to cancel the transaction and he called back 1 full week later with no acknowledgement of the countless messages we had left. There was never a proactive apology from our sales manager or the dealership management who we also contacted. We finally got our money back after 3 weeks from the purchase date and a lot of stress and time wasted. Proactive calls to give us updates with accurate information - or call backs at all - would have made this process so much better as I know parts are backordered everywhere. The folks here need to understand what good customer service is - buyers beware.

They force their carnamic service onto you, but since I got the car it has never worked. If you do come here just know that their carnamic service is just a way to upcharge you after they give you a price on a car.I brought the car in 3 times, and each time they promised it would begin working soon. However after 3 months they stopped responding to me, and it still doesn't work. I've since given up trying to contact them about this again.

Sold me a 2020 Kia forte & never informed me that the car was not equipped with an engine immobilizer. When Kia thefts were clearly a problem, the dealer did not offer any anti-theft device or warning when I brought my car in to the dealer for maintenance 6 months ago. My car was stolen last week.

In response to the comment from the manager on my initial review (which I also knew was coming- more gaslighting) the experience was not based on miscommunication, it was based on DISHONESTY and the whole bait and switch tactic by the dealers and manager's at this dealership. I am NOT looking for a follow-up comment from this dealership nor a justification for its practices and more gaslighting and manipulation. This dealership is not one I'd return to nor recommend to others.

I recently bought a 2023 Sportage Hybrid EX and had a great service from Alex, Steve, and Ed at San Leandro Kia. The whole process with them was quite smooth and their constant service was great! In addition, I have talked to several dealerships who were asking high markups or long waiting time, but their price was fair and I got my car within just a couple of weeks. Overall I am so happy that I purchased my new car through San Leandro Kia!

Worst customer service EVER. I paid over $22k for a new Forte, and then when I called a month and a half later about getting my 2nd key (I only got one when I bought the car), no response. I called 5 times 4 people, said they’d get back to me. No return calls, no one. That’s a big F… You to a customer that bought a car!!!!! I would never recommend them, take my car to their service center. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE JERKS!!!!!!!Totally dissatisfied customer.UPDATE: The dealership contacted me and made arrangements for me to pick up a second key. This came several days after the original post. I appreciate the follow up and was satisfied with the Service Center that set up the new key. I will change the rating based on this. I believe they have learned to do a better job after this.

Tried to make an appointment for my car and was told the only availability they had was 3 weeks out. This is the second time this has happen. First time was during covid so i gave it a pass. But, 3 weeks out to get your car serviced is wild. Not like i was going in for routine maintenance. The car had a problem with the alternator. I don't know how many people can go 3 weeks without their transportation to work and pick up kids from school. With the place being expensive as well, it's best to avoid this dealership at all cost.

Reserved a vehicle because they told me the MSRP sticker price was what I would pay when the car came in. When I get the notice the car has arrived, they suddenly spring some BS dealer accessories that are around $1k that they refused to remove. It's essentially just a markup that they hide until they ask you to come in to buy the car you reserved. Don't believe their "sell at MSRP" spiel because it's untrue. Word of advice to the dealership - Stop deceiving customers with dishonest marketing.

Shout out to Khaled Ali. This was the best car buying experience I've had. Quoted a price up front and didn't play any games. Best price by far from talking to 5 dealerships. Michael did a good job instructing us in all of the car's features.
