Rick Hollander is the owner of this racket. His racket is endorsed by the SPCA and employs several volunteers without pay as he profits from the donations and sales of these animals on weekends. I made the mistake of trying to adopt a pair of kittens that I fell in love with on his website. His kittens can only be adopted in pairs until they are six months old according to his store policy. Rick wanted a $300 adoption fee for both kittens. Didn't think it would hurt to ask for a discount. Apparently I was wrong. Rick became very rude, disrespectful abrasive and unprofessional when I tried to meet these kittens in person and bring them home with me. I was told by Rick in front of his staff and his customers that because I am on a fixed income, I won't be able to afford these pets and that I should move on. As if embarrassing me in front of his staff and his customers wasn't enough, he sent 3 armed police officers to my house wearing bullet proof vests to do a "wellness check" on me after I left several voicemails and emails trying to get this man fired. I had no idea he was the owner until I ran a background check on him. His day jobs include Project Lead and Program Manager at Kaiser Permanente since January 2001. His response to my review is laughable at best. If I was a threat to anyone's safety I would not be sitting on my couch sending all this data to the BBB and Channel 7 News On Your Side. I am obviously not the only customer Rick has ever mistreated. If you read the rest of his reviews you will find several other complaints about his behavior. This has been reworded with as many facts as possible with as little emotion as possible. Hope it makes better sense now. ?

Posting this and assuming it will be taken down. I read some of the reviews and the owner posted an applicants full personal information on a comment to their bad review. Please remove the review above. Happy to remove my review when that personal info is removed. Thank you.

Staff is very rude and unprofessional especially the owner. The rule they have about not letting young teens under the age of 13 into the dog area or not letting a family adopt if they have a child under the age of 13 is a pointless policy like literally what makes a difference between a young teen who is 13 years or older and a teen who is 13 years or younger being able to go in just cause a year in age difference . Also they stated that they won't let teens of that age go into the playing area where the dogs are roaming free because they have behavior issues and because they are special need dogs stating "don't know how they would react to young teens" as if the dogs can tell the difference between peoples ages. If they have behavior issues like they say they shouldn't be letting no one inside the play area with the dogs period and they should resort to something else then putting them up for adoption. Also keep in mind the dogs they have in the dog area are small no bigger then a full grown corgi they talk about the dogs as if they were the most vicious dogs in the planet all the dogs were all running around and jumping on people and playing. I called their policies d*** and I guess that set everyone off lol saying it's not d*** cause dogs have behavior issues or they're are special needs dogs like I said regular people aren't trained to take care of special needs dogs they should be put with trained professionals instead of trying to put them up for adoption with people as the owner stated a bunch of people who are immature. Then one of the employees or volunteers over heard my conversation with the owner and jumped in and said " how about I put you in a cage with a with some wild animal and see what happens" which makes no sense because the animal he said lives in the wild of course it's going to react different it's a wild animal not a dog like that's how you know they don't even know what they are saying or just want to implement their stupid policies and rules which make no sense. This place is a joke wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business sooner or later

They have been trying to adopt out one of their dogs through Adopt a Corgi for awhile. This is the sort of attitude they have. Note that they require a working home for this dog.

This pet place is sooo cute and the staff are so welcoming. They use to be behind Old Navy but now they moved across from Dolores religious gifts! The toys and clothes for your pet is inexpensive. What I liked the most was the arrangement the setting of the whole store. You can donate your pet accessories that you no longer use or anything else that will benefit other unfortunate pets

Very nice helpful rescue. You get to have a sleep over period of 2 weeks before deciding if it is a good fit for you and the dog before adopting. They are very helpful about any health problems that the dog may have. I just met Odie yesterday and he is adjusting wonderfully. A few bathroom issues but he's learning to go outside. It's all new to him.

Adopted a wonderful dog from Nobody's Perfekt. How can one give less than 5 stars to a place that takes hard cases from shelters, gives them medical care and finds them homes?

I can tell the staff really do care about these dogs a lot, I have volunteered a couple times before I got busy. I cannot speak about the adoption process but the reason that children and other dogs usually aren't allowed here is because it may put your children or dogs at risk. These dogs have been pulled out of shelters by the man at the front desk and they are here not for a second chance but sometimes 3rd or 4th. The reason why you can't just adopt any dog is because some of these dogs have very specific conditions that need to be met or else they may not be able to live comfortably. These dogs are looking for very responsible forever homes and sometimes it just can't happens while you have children. While I can't explain everything I hope those who have given this place a one star can see the centres point of view and be a little more understanding. I hope you all find a nice doggy companion. If you have more questions I really reccomed just looking around their website to understand why they operate the way they do!
