Kid with the dangly ears needs training. You can mail keys certified. I’ve been doing so over a decade. I also had to wait as they were socializing. I have a business to run, I don’t have time to deal with untrained children.
This is the same kid who couldn’t deescalate an issue with a customer a few years ago - customer wanted to pay with a dollar coin and kid told elderly customer they don’t accept dollar coins (that’s illegal btw) I finally jumped in and traded the cx their dollar coin for a paper dollar. I’m no longer going to this location as I expect USPS employees to know their jobs, know legalities, offer adequate customer service, etc.

Today I went to the UPS an hour ago, there is actually a dark-haired woman with glasses who serves according to customer service and I think she has to provide good service and she does NOT do it, quite the opposite, she gives very bad service, it is offensive, I don't know what sitting there for nothing. But managers should act and not expect bad comments to read them and nothing more. Get rid of that woman who is not polite at all ??

Staff are very rude, they don’t advise properly on services when asked, they get irritable easily and threaten to refuse service. Please staff better customers this is unacceptable. I hope staff get better training on customer service.

Bad costumer service , specially this? lady at the window, this’s the second time this black tall
lady yells at my mom just because she asked her where she has to write the address on the green receipt. Plus post office should hire bilingual people specially for the windows .

My recent visit to the US Postal Service for a change of address was a mixed experience. The process itself was fairly simple and efficient, which was a relief. However, my observation with the Customer Service left me with conflicting feelings.
On the one hand, the representatives were undeniably friendly and welcomed each customer but on the other hand, I couldn't shake off a disconcerting incident I witnessed. While waiting in line, I overheard a customer, whose native language wasn't English, seeking assistance regarding fragile items. The customer selected yes, when they should’ve selected no on the keyboard. Unfortunately, they were advised by the representative to bring their own interpreter if they couldn't communicate effectively in English. This struck me as somewhat insensitive and disappointing.
While I understand the practical challenges faced by the establishment, it's crucial for them to offer language services to accommodate diverse customers. Expecting individuals to bring their own interpreters seems impractical and burdensome. The availability of toll-free numbers for language assistance should be actively promoted and utilized to ensure equal access to services and although this would require additional steps, it’s something all establishments should do.
Overall, the US Postal Service seems to strive for kindness, friendliness, and professionalism, but there's room for improvement in addressing language barriers and ensuring inclusivity.
On a positive note: I really enjoyed their large selection of greeting cards and the person who helped me was supper kind in explaining the process of changing my home addresses ?

Asked why I couldn't put my mail in the one drive through mailbox that still remains outside and the worker behind the desk did not give me an answer. She just said, " don't put your mail there. Asked why. No response, except, "don't do it." Not very professional of her. This was at the post office on E.14th St. in San Leandro.

The overall communication from USPS staff was marked by a notably poor speaking tone. The personnel exhibited a lack of courtesy and seemed indifferent to customer concerns. Instead of addressing inquiries with a helpful and respectful demeanor, their responses were curt and dismissive. It was disheartening to encounter such a negative attitude, as effective communication is key in providing satisfactory customer service. The combination of subpar assistance, extended wait times, and an unsatisfactory speaking tone painted a disconcerting picture of the USPS experience, leaving me with a distinct sense of disappointment and frustration.

Loretta is an amazing postal employee, she cares, she wad proactive helping resolve my issue of expired change of address notice; taught me how to request Andre apply online, , advised me to do it asap, so I could resolve the issue and get back my letters back sooner, which I did; that same day I had an email and went back to that post office to update my address, And problem resolved, thanks to Loretta’s assistance. Contrary to what you'd expect at a post office, very friendly and helpful workers. Light music playing in background. Good amount of parking and wait has never been too long.
