Excellent customer service from Hunter as I was having account issues with another location. He and his manager assisted me with. Really appreciate the above and beyond assistance. The Gym has made some upgrades and has workout classes now. Clean and the staff are very helpful.

This is the great gym when you are alone, but there are people that give me advice for fixing posture when I workout. I was working out on thanksgiving and many people there.

“Great Gym with Room for Improvement”I recently visited the Crunch Fitness in San Leandro, located conveniently next to US Chef. The gym has ample parking and an impressive array of heavyweights, catering to all fitness enthusiasts. One standout feature I appreciate is the availability of a punching bag, adding a dynamic element to workouts. While the overall experience is amazing, I do have a suggestion for improvement. The space around the punching bag could be expanded to prevent overcrowding and provide more individual space during workouts. Additionally, I noticed the punching bag showing signs of wear and tear over time, possibly due to frequent use. Enhancing the durability of the equipment would be a valuable improvement. On a positive note, Crunch Fitness has recently added more free weights for squats and deadlifts, a welcome update for those focusing on strength training. Unfortunately, amenities like a sauna room and swimming pool are absent, but the friendly and accommodating staff make up for it.In summary, Crunch Fitness in San Leandro is a top-notch gym, especially for those into heavy lifting. The accommodating staff and diverse equipment earn it a solid 10 out of 10. Addressing the punching bag space and durability would make the experience even better. Highly recommended for fitness enthusiasts.

Unfortunately, another disrespectful behavior by the employee at the San Lorenzo location.I was in the studio working out by myself. Two young guys came in and turned off the lights (yes, all the lights) They didn't ask me or anyone else if they could turn off the lights. I asked them why they wanted to record/take pictures. Okay, I understand that. What bothered me was that they came in and turned off the lights without asking anyone. It was too dark to see anything in there. I thought it was absurd and rude.I told them they needed to ask other people, but they ignored my request and wouldn't turn the lights back on. I went to the front desk and asked for help.Janelle (spelling?) at the front desk came into the studio, didn't say anything to the guys, just walked in and turned the lights on. Actually she didn't say anything to me either at that point.I told the guys, "You got to respect other people. All of a sudden Janelle points her finger at me, "HEY! I ALREADY TURNED ON THE LIGHTS! !!" It was not just a comment, she was pointing her finger at me and literally yelled at me. There was no interaction before this rude behavior.Up to that point, even those two guys were calm, I was calm. Janelle heated up in a split second and started yelling at me. I was just stunned, insulted, and felt abused.I then went back to the front desk and told other employees that Janelle suddenly started yelling at me, pointing her finger at me, which was totally nonsensical and unnecessary. Crunch management, please train staff not to yell at members. In general, people don't need to yell at anyone in everyday life.Janelle is not fit to be in a public place if she loses her temper over lighting.I was suprised to learn that she was the manager there, sorry, I think the behavior is not like manager, unfit. She needs to be trained to be in public.

Great gym! Great staff! Great environment to work out in, especially on days where discipline is used instead of motivation.

Joined back in mid-2021 and recently canceled my membership.Highlights:-low monthly cost and annual fees.-fairly clean place.-has all the basics.-friendly staff.Lowlights:-really small gym, but to be expected.-absolutely packed house at peak hours.-small parking lot.-never fail to see groups of 4+ usually camping at a machine taking turns.-paper towel dispensers and spray bottles empty quick.-treadmills and various machines usually out of service for quite some time. For what's offered, Crunch's pricing is not bad at all. I'll be paying more for a different gym, so hoping for a better experience.

Great place with a good vibe. I just wish they had a Syngery station for calisthenics. Staff is very friendly and Amanda is the best!
