Alamo is the best and safest self storage in San Luis Obispo. The security is excellent!! If you are running out of space in your garage and your house is packed with useless junk, Alamo is for you. Just think how happy your car will be when it is spending the night out of the elements.

Pat is amazing!!!! She was so kind, responsive, and really had a customer oriented attitude. I needed a storage unit super last minute when I called her. She didn't have one available when I first called but when one became available, she called me immediately to let me know.When I came in to rent the unit she explained all the fees and prices clearly to me. She was as kind in-person as she was on the phone. She even took me on her golf cart to show me my unit personally and showed me the cameras on the property.When I used the unit, I felt safe and secure leaving my items there. You do need to get your own lock and if you're renting the 5 ft space, get a short lock. The only complaint I would have is that it seems like ant will be in your unit. I'm not sure if that's an issue but if your stuff is boxed up and taped up, it should be fine.

I'm not sure where to begin to express my gratitude for the manager Pat at this location. Almost 2 years ago I walked into her office on the verge of a breakdown yet eager for a fresh start on my own. Her warm, kind and professional presence welcomed me when I needed it the most. I rented a small unit and started a small business storing my inventory there. Now two years later I have a very successful business and have increased my unit twice in size. Over the time I have witnessed many incidences of her rising to the call of duty (sometimes beyond) without hesitation. If you're considering having storage here you won't be disappointed. The price is the best in town and offers far more than what you pay for.

I've used this place for on-and-off for over ten years. This stretch, I've been storing things there for the last 3-4 years. I've never had an issue with security, cleanliness or with management. It's only gotten better when they hired Pat as a manager. She has been absolute pleasure to work with. I've been there long enough to see a few managers come and go. I don't even recall their names, lol. Pat... well, she has the most pleasant & professional demeanor. It's been a real pleasure working with her!

Under new management and WOW! New office so you no longer feel like you're sitting on the lap of the person in the rental office with you and the manager is an absolute sweetheart! I have used this storage company for personal and business now, without any hassle or concerns. If you had a bad experience in the past I suggest you give them another try. I recently moved out again only because my new office construction was complete and the unit was being used to store the furniture for it. If I have the need for it again, I will gladly return.

Low end, our unit gets filled with dust and dirt so much that it starts to pile up. We are moved into a much nicer unit in pismo now and are having a much better experience

It's in need of painting, the isles are wide enough for 2 way traffic while loading and unloading . Security is an 8 foot fence surrounding the property, and surveylance cameras on all isles and corners, and live on property managers!!
