Store employees were unhelpful and did not allow or use Apple Pay to complete a transaction, they also told me my phone was updated when it wasn’t which caused issues when trying to transfer my esim. Really disappointed with the customer service.

Store is complete garbage, I will never buy anything Apple again. This store declined me a service for my iPhone that Apple Support assured me they could perform. I drove over 30 miles only to get denied help. Store said Apple Support team probably "misunderstood" the issue, despite the Support Member fully understanding the issue and repeating it back to me at the time I made the appointment. The employees and management here should be embarrassed by their level of incompetence.

This store lost one star for each of the two techs that spoke down to me when I had questions about a phone transfer. One tech was short with me when I had a concern. It became tense until he finally validated my concern with another tech. If he hadn’t done so, a bug could have been transferred to my new phone. I thought it was unprofessional for him to repeatedly tell me not to have an issue until there was something to have an issue about. Well there was an issue and he wasn’t listening to me until he finally spoke to someone else.The second star I removed was for a tech that had a short impatient response to a very simple question I had. When I asked again for clarification he kept repeating himself in a short impatient tone. When he walked away, I asked a newer tech my same question and he very kindly explained.Good customer service focuses on communication. Being able to “listen” to a customer and respond in a way that doesn’t leave the customer feeling talked down to.There are good employees that work there. I gave a star for the newer tech that took time to treat me as a customer and explain information in a professional manner. I also really liked the tech who initially greeted me at the door, he was patient and took time to provide knowledge of the potential issues with my phone. One last star given since the issue was resolved but I left the SLO Apple Store feeling unsettled enough to write this review about the experience. In reading other reviews, I am not the only person that has left the store feeling talked down to by some of their staff.

My experience with Apple was very pleasant, the staff is very friendly and patient and they fixed my iPhone. I recommend this store, there are many people. But the assistants are efficient and well trained..! Santa Barbara attendants are unfriendly.. ⭐️

Jaxon is phenomenal!! Really knowledgeable and helpful! After dealing with a total headache and nightmare about upgrading from ATT, went to just do it in the Apple Store and it went flawlessly. Jaxon made sure I got everything I needed and was out the door quickly. Thank you so much!

Joey is a very knowledgeable and professional guy. We had an issue with our iPhones due to all the updates that seem to happen on a daily occurrence. We simply needed to separate our two phones from one Apple ID. He explained everything as he fixed our issues. He even offered to go through my MAC laptop to help me update it.

Husband and I went in to exchange AirPods. AirPods were under the year warranty. Arrived at least an hour and a half before closing when I checked in, they told me I would be seen in the next 30 minutes. When I received my text saying that I was going to be seen next I was escorted to the Genius Bar and ended up waiting about a hour.The time it took them to exchange the AirPods was about 10 minutes however, I was waiting for over an hour to be seen when initially I was told I was going to be seen in 30 minutes Apple Store staff was sitting at tables chatting sitting at the cash register chatting. People were coming in after me and being seen before me, and leaving within 10 minutes of arriving. There was about 10+ staff working only helping out a handful of customers while my husband and I sat there waiting for somebody to help us. Finally somebody helped us and no one apologized to us about the wait. Husband and I are both obviously Hispanic. other customers that Arrived after me, and being seen before me were caucasian. This store has a priority of helping out customers with the lighter skin tone rather than customers who were patiently waiting for someone to help. I will never go back to San Luis Obispo Apple Store. If I have to, I will go to Santa Barbara Apple Store, or just order it online. overall terrible customer service seem like all the staff would rather be chatting amongst themselves instead helping customers and it seemed they had a bias of helping other customers rather than people who were in line and arrived before others.
