Got some good deals on some pet stuff and while I was there I got some sheets I thought I'd like. Tried them out one night and they were very low quality so I decided to return them. Any other place this has been pretty easy, even without a receipt. Most stores can just pull up your most recent transaction if you bring the card you used. I had of course lost mine (my b).I figured they'd be able to work with me and maybe do an exchange at least. Nope, I was first told that I couldn't return it without a receipt (understandable for a mom and pop, but a nationwide chain not so much). Then that they couldn't accept it if it had been washed, I told them they hadn't been then they asked if I used them I said yes but I took them off the next day. They suddenly said it couldn't be returned if it wasn't used.. in what scenario would I return something I hadn't used and disliked? All of this just to come down to the receipt thing... Why would you ask all these questions if that is already a nope?I honestly got the feeling they COULD have accepted it but didn't feel like it. They kept making up contradicting rules on why they couldn't accept it. Stephanie or Samantha or something, who I believe was a manager treated me like i was trying to rip them off. It's too bad, I got some good deals and was planning on shopping here more often... This is why Amazon is putting brick and mortars out of business left and right lol. Oh well, 20 dollar lesson on where not to shop, won't be back.

Worst customer service ever! The checker has been chatting with a woman at the counter and is oblivious that a line is forming!

They advertise same day delivery if you purchase before noon but according to our cashier. That is not so. They do have a moving companies phone number available for you to call. They charge premium moving company rates and same day delivery is not guaranteed...We spoke with 2 managers about inquiries regarding discounts we were told we would receive. Yet we never received no discount. They offered a 10% discount on your purchase if you were approved that same day for a HomeGoods credit card. We were approved that day. We also made a nearly $2000 purchase that day but still have not received any discount. Only stonewalling and terrible attitudes from the manager. I won't publish her name due to privacy. The man who was our cashier also had a terrible attitude. We returned with a UHaul to load our purchased furniture. The same man who was our cashier posted another store employee at the door. He instructed her to Keep an eye on us in case we tried to steal anything. HOW RUDE!She could have helped us load our furniture into the UHaul. But instead she simply loomed over us and scrutinized everything we were doing as we loaded our furniture. How shameful!!! We purchased nearly $2000 of furniture and other items from them and this is the best they can do as far as customer service!!! Awful!!! And to top it off. It is nearly X Mass! I will give HomeGoods a second chance. The store in Santa Maria that is. As far as the store in San Luis Obispo goes. All I can say is: NEVER AGAIN!!!Oh, Just a heads up. If you are considering getting store credit with a Home Goods Card. Read the details on the credit application. The interest they charge you is just over 30%!!! You are going to pay better (lower) interest if you just get your financing through the mob!!!!Absolutely Shameful!!!Never Again!!!Finally, the Santa Maria HomeGoods store is much larger and carries almost twice as many items. You will be treated with courtesy, dignity and respect when you shop at the Santa Maria as well....Sincerely,Grampafornia~

Okay, I'm not Scrooge although I feel as such upon arrival. I'm not the best reviewer when it comes to these type of stores, so consider my legitimacy. Home goods historically isn't for the sensory overloaded feint of heart! I have no idea how people choose anything given the paradox of choices, that's a real thing. It's the most organized madness in 1 store that I've ever experienced. Being that my close friend got me hooked on these dark chocolate blueberries, I blame her for all my distress right now, as home goods is one of the few authorized dealers to this habit forming delicacy! If you can't find your treasure of decorations, bedding, or esoteric foods to name a few, it doesn't exist. Enter at your own risk or for some, enjoy your lookie loo time to your heart's content!

I have never encountered so many miserable cashiers. I was purchasing an item the lady that waited on me was so cold and unfriendly it’s no wonder they can’t get help.

If you're a pet owner this place has got the magic deals! Poop bags 720+ count $4-$7, Pet clothes $10ish, Halloween costumes, slow feeders <$10, treats, pet furniture, cat toys, discount cat trees AND amazing furniture! We have stocked our entire apartment from this store... and people would come in and ask if we were trying to set up a magazine shoot as a joke! but seriously it would look like that!

went to pick a piece of furniture I paid for days ago. when employee was ready to help, we found a bad dent on it, i asked if we could get a discount, this very polite young man who was helping called this person who claimed to be one of the store managers. he was SUPER RUDE, he only said "this piece came like this, take it or leave it" I replied, no i took a video when I paid for it, no dents were on it. he said "well take it or leave i said" he went back to the check out area. what an unhappy person i could tell. who wants to paid full price for a piece of furniture with a dent?honestly based on this terrible experience i will not go back tothe store just because this man. It is funny how managers make companies lose customersi got my money back.

Why is HomeGoods worse than target? You go in for 1 thing and leave with 12 candles, pillows and 6 pots. Love this place!

I really do enjoy shopping at HomeGoods and through the years I have spent Thousands of dollars here. This review is aimed at the manager here by the name of Raquel who was working tonight 12/3/22 at 4:55 PM She is the rudest manager that i have ever come across at this store! Refusing to honor a discounted price of only $8.00 on a set of dishes is just bad business! I was also purchasing two other identical sets at the discounted price. Her reasoning was absurd stating "well these two sets are old from a few weeks ago and this other set is new just arriving this week" (?) What a ridiculous policy! But it was her rude demeaning attitude that sucked! I said well "how about a 10% discount" she laughed and said "No I don't think so" Even the sales girl stated that any other manager would have honored that request but Raquel was difficult and she even dreaded having to call her to the checkout! That should tell you something about Raquel. If I were corporate I would get rid of her as it gives HomeGoods a bad taste. Just not a way to treat a customer.
