Feels like home. You will get some things here that money can't buy: helpful attentive staff, kind owner, they reassure you, they are patient... The location is next to the Amtrak station - walking distance - wonderful. Would like to return if possible and spend a few days here.

Checked into Hostel Obispo after a 300 mile bike journey from San Francisco... I was met by a fun group, all ages... Wound up staying up to midnight sharing stories. What an interesting, eclectic experience. I highly recommend.

Staff and location were really wonderful. You will need ear plugs or a fan or something to drown out the noise if you are a light sleeper. Bed was comfortable. Shared bathrooms and showers. It’s a hostel! Overall enjoyable experience.
