We are so happy to have stumbled upon this gem in the SLO area for our wedding venue. We had around 150 guests at our wedding and I would say the venue accommodated the group just fine. The family who owns the property was very friendly. We had no issues with booking and our wedding planner took care of all the details/coordination. I believe their wedding package comes with white plastic chairs/round tables, wine barrel tabletops and white umbrellas. There are two bathrooms onsite and ample parking space as well. Wifi can be spotty so I recommend guests drive vs. uber/lyft. Pricing was very reasonable compared to the other venues we were looking at.The greenery is unreal and there are loads of different areas for your wedding photos which I liked (i.e., lower lawn, garden/stairway, orchard, pergola, etc). I would describe the venue as having two different areas. The upper half is where we had the welcome area and cocktail hour, there's also a storefront that is open to the public and the lower half is where we had our ceremony and reception. We did have to flip the layout (changing from ceremony to reception in between) so it was nice to have a separate area for our guests to go to for cocktail hour. We did not experience any issues with the storefront/campsite customers. Everyone was respectful. The dance floor was large enough for our wedding size and I liked that there are benches surrounding the deck which gave our guests the option to sit or rest and still be close to the festivities. The only thing (which wasn't a deal breaker for us but could be for others) is the venue has an early stoppage time and requires music to stop by 8pm. We ended up having our wedding from 2pm-8pm and added an after party in downtown SLO.Overall, I loved the venue and we have such fond and amazing memories of our wedding day.

First and foremost the venue is absolutely stunning. We could not have picked a prettier place to have our wedding, all our guests loved how beautiful the venue was. HOWEVER, no one at the venue is communicative. We would have to follow up multiple times to get a response about ANYTHING.Three weeks before the wedding our contact at the venue changed. The new contact had been told absolutely nothing about our wedding from the previous person, it was like starting from scratch. We had also originally been told that we could set up/do rehearsal the day before our wedding as they only did one wedding a weekend, this new person tells us that sorry theres now a wedding the day before ours. The lack of communication between the people at the venue themselves and then the lack of communication with us is my gripe, not the fact that they booked a wedding the day before ours. Please be more communicative!Once again the Venue is absolutely STUNNING!Photo credit: Shannon McMillen Photography

Today was their first day of the season (Sept 1st) and we got to load up on apples, pears, apple cider, honey and almond brittle. It's so peaceful to be surrounded by nature and have no cell phone service. We couldn't resist taking a family picture on their wagon. Dogs are not allowed but we were the only people there. We were told that the crowds will pour in tomorrow so we missed the traffic. They'll be open through Thanksgiving so we'll have to try and make it back. Highly recommend this place to check it out and grab some goodies.Susie if you're reading this, my mother in law Birgit remembers you!

This place is still as magical as it was when I was a child going out there with my dad. Now my husband and our daughter enjoy the same experience almost 20 years later. Thank you all for the amazing memories

Absolutely loved this place. It’s so beautiful and the staff is always very friendly and welcoming. We found this delightful place while enjoying a relaxing drive through See Canyon. We purchased organic cold pressed apple juice and very juicy and sweet pairs. My baby loved eating them since they would melt in his little mouth when eating them. I returned the next day for more and bought a couple more goodie’s. I will be returning again as a regular customer! Absolutely recommend this ranch if you are making your way through San Luis Obispo. They also have camping ?, catering fruit ? services and wedding or event outdoor garden areas for your special day. ???♀️??♂️

We went here for two years xmass, 2020 and 2021. It was a perfect place for the kids and to hide away from the crazy xmass city life. The kids enjoyed it. they have a small playgroup and a safe place for kids to wander around. Both times it was not fully booked and we enjoyed the leisure of not having a crowded campsite. The location is great near the city and ocean. The hosts are accommodating, kind family. all in all best campsite!

Just stopped in for apples. Thought I might find some tastier, organic, than what was available in the grocery store. Sadly, their Fuji's had skins like leather and they were neither tasty nor fragrant. They're not Organic, although I was told they did not spray their apples. I'm still looking for good apples when I visit SLO and I'll post when I find them.

Great venue. It was a little hot in the sun down in the valley but they had umbrellas. Could have had more water during the event. Easily accessible in my wheelchair and the food was really good!

Unfortunately our experience with See Canyon Fruit Ranch and the Kenny Family was subpar and borderline unpleasant. They have the appearance of a small family run business and you expect similar hospitality and kindness but that is not the case. They don’t treat each customer with the utmost care, they are just about making the dollar and pushing you through their system. We had to continue to basically argue and fight with them to get simple things for examples such as arriving earlier at like 8:00 AM instead of 10:00AM to begin setting up or even just to have a set storage area (which is in the contract originally signed that it would be provided). We although were planned to be a Sunday wedding so this was understandable to an extent but we weren’t provided different solutions/alternatives even when it was on the contract. Not even a discount (other than the already lower Sunday wedding price), not that we asked for it or were looking for one but just shows a bit there wasn’t a well searched for solution. It was like pulling teeth a bit and we were left to fend for ourselves on things that were explicitly told to us were provided or discussed. They overall just decided to pick and chose from the contract what they wanted and what was best for them. This was over a span of 6-8 months on and off and not just one instance so we eventually decided it was too much hassle here and to cancel our wedding. We are going elsewhere and it didn’t seem to phase them when we informed them. Maybe it was us being a Sunday wedding and they aren’t used to it still or really didn’t want a Sunday wedding so made it difficult on us. We think the customer service and attention to our wedding and the details would’ve gone a long way.

This was a glamping experience while we slept in our own tent. Beautiful surroundings, a friendly host, hot showers, and free wifi combine to create a wonderful experience. We were disappointed that the chickens and goats were gone, but we still had wild turkeys and orange tabbies Captain and Jack to keep us company. Besides, Avila Valley Barn is just a few minutes away, and their newborn baby goats put a smile on my fiance's face. The communal firepits are a great way to meet your fellow campers, and 95% of them were friendly and interesting people. There's got to be one in every group, right? Ours was a neighbor who spent three hours talking loudly into their phone for three hours straight, right up until the 10 o'clock quiet time. That wasn't the hosts' fault. We'd have no problem visiting here again or recommending it to others. I may even return on my motorcycle just to explore the narrow roads in the area.

Surprisingly nice as a wedding venue. Perfectly maintained and laid out. Worked out great for both the wedding and reception.

Lovely location with some serious issues. You are watched at night by a loud drone flying over head. This was alarming and invasive and happened every night. The owner is not very welcoming and seems pretty over hip campers. That’s fine, but we were kind, quiet, and clean. We were quietly sitting outside by the fire pits they have and a man came out and told us quiet hours were at 9pm and we had to turn everything off. There are signs saying quiet hours start at 10pm so maybe he just wanted to go to bed early. That being said the ranch is beautiful, you will wake up to birds singing. There’s a cute playground for kids, a basketball hoop, games, outdoor showers and bathrooms, picnic tables, and Wi-Fi. It’s well water so don’t be alarmed by the sulfuric smell.
