The salon is peaceful and beautiful and Jen is a lovely human and a talented stylist. She gives an incredible scalp massage and a perfect haircut! Her prices are very reasonable and the quality of service is impressive.

Jen is such an amazing hairdresser that I am literally driving four hours to see her for every booking because after I moved no one was as good (in the Bay Area nonetheless!). She's so much fun to catch up with and she does my hair exactly as I want! I trust her with color, cuts, the works. Thank you as always!

Private boutique salon in the heart of downtown SLO, what could be better?!? Oh just the fact the Jennifer is highly talented, professional and talented. Her work is head and shoulders (pun intended) above everyone else. Her salon is clean, chic and welcoming. What I love most is that after a great cut/color/blowout, I'm ready for happy hour at one of the great spots downtown. So grateful for Jennifer at Gypsy Den salon!

I visited this establishment for the first and last time on July 23rd, 2021. I got a perm and for several weeks my hair fell out in clumps. The owner and stylist said during my perm appointment that she wanted to see me in 2 weeks for a follow-up to see how the perm took. When it came time for me to come back in she was curt, rude and abrupt stating she didn't need to see me despite telling her over the phone that my hair was falling out en masse and that the front part was pretty straight compared to the rest of my hair. Needless to say, I will NEVER allow this woman to touch my hair due to her gross incompetence and shady practice. No wonder she lost her original salon and works alone in a room the size of a closet. I don't think she plays well with others. I tipped her generously and even took her to dinner at Blue after the appointment and picked up the tab. She didn't even thank me. I can see why she doesn't have any good friends. Be one first, honey. Your vibe attracts your tribe.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Jennifer and the Gypsy Den. My hair was a disaster due to self attempt at colors. Jennifer was able to put the color life and spirit back in my hair. The salon is intimate and perfect for a treatment one would want. Thank you Jennifer I love love my new look and hair.

This Salon is AMAZING!! The owner is extremely talented, personable, and listens very carefully to give you what you want. She has a lot of experience in cuts, color, styling, you name it - she can do it! I always feel amazing when I leave this salon!

Jen is amazing! My hair goes brassy quickly, and she saved me from a self-color disaster of epic proportions that occurred during shelter in place. She got me back on track and I've been going to her ever since then. She is a color genius and aims to please! She is extremely personable, and she styles my "won't do anything" hair with ease! I highly recommend this salon and stylist for your next cut, color, blow out, styling!!!

I had a wonderful experience at the Gypsy Den Salon. Jennifer is extremely talented and accommodating. My favorite part of the salon is that it is a private studio so there is less concern about COVID and you can have some privacy. Thank you Jennifer for keeping my hair happy and healthy! I will be visiting again in the future!

I recently had my baby and was in desperate need of a mini mommy make over! I walked in feeling tired and not so pretty. I had my appointment with Blakely and she listen on my concerns about my hair and I gave her a brief idea of what I wanted and kinda of left it up to her to do whatever she wanted with my hair and let me tell you she did not disappoint! She's so friendly and makes you feel at home. They have amazing products which I ended up buying the detangling spray that smells absolutely amazing!! The salon it's self is super cute!!! Will be here again! I loved that she knew that with 3 kids and working I wouldn't be able to go in so often so she gave me a super low maintenance color while still going light!! I LOVE my hair I walked out of there feeling so good!
