I love going to Ralph's, but our experience there with an employee was horrible. We arrived at 9PM, walked around, grabbed a few items, and realized we needed to use the restroom. We went to the front and asked an employee (woman, maybe in her 50's, shoulder length frizzy hair), for the bathroom code. She rudely told us they don't give out the code and that no one was available to go put in the code so we'd have to wait until someone was back from their lunch. We decided not to purchase anything and left the store. Went to the nearby McDonalds which was very nice inside and was able to use their clean restrooms. Whenever I've gone to a Ralph's, the employees have always kindly provided the code so I was shocked to hear they wouldn't provide it.

Nice Ralphs store location we stopped at here visiting a friend. Right up pretty much on the beach. Nice decorated store with the best produce and deli area. I stopped in and got some groceries for our party we were having. Reasonably priced foods in the deli area. Store is well stocked and clean. Everyone seem to be happy working here in customer service. This will be my go to store anytime i am in the neighborhood.

I'm not a sushi eater but hubby loves it. He had tuna sashimi and tuna rolls for dinner. Said it was fresh and some of the best he's ever had. And he's had it all over the world including Japan and Hawaii. Reasonably priced too.

Always come here pretty late since it's one of the few grocery stores open late. It has a good selection of items and I always find pretty much everything I need. Staff is usually pretty nice, checking out is quick and easy. Pretty good selection of alcohol and they have good prices. It's got clean floors and I've never really seen any dirty spots there. Overall definitely would recommend shopping here.

So today, when my sister and I were checking out, a cashier named Karen was really rude. When my sister had separated two different checkouts, Karen seemed to have a problem that she was using her EBT card, and also proceeded to basically toss the food items into the bagging area out of frustration towards us-for no reason. She was also giving my sister a hard time about buying an Amazon gift card, and assumed that she was trying to steal it when in reality her scanner just wasn't working. Her attitude towards us was very unacceptable, and she wasn't apologetic at all whatsoever. Another nice cashier assisted us, and we were able to finish the transaction thankfully. But the bottom line is, Karen was blatantly being rude towards us when we were simply trying to buy food and a gift card tonight.

Ralphs & other markets in our area are a good reflection on how mankind [AKA humankind], is dealing, or not dealing with reality.People & even products can reveal what really is going on. From what shelves are full, empty, or discounted, you can tell the shifting fads & needs of people.I thank heavens that I already took Yelp Pics of the past numerous empty or part empty shelves eons ago in the Pandemic Hoarding Era. Since the beginning of the Rump, the Pandemic, & now the War, every week seems like a year, and every year seems like an eternity.Just a few months ago, what was missing from most shelves at most markets did appear heavily discounted at other local stores. All things Baking....from Flour to Yeast appeared in Grocery Outlet in huge numbers at great prices...so we took up baking way past the peak manic period. $10 bottles of hand-sanitizer went from non-existent, to pallets of them, discounted down to only 10 cents each at some of the Office Supply stores...and that was between Delta & Omicron....so yes, I have cases of the stuff, since the virus will never stop mutating. It is a good thing that I have a heavy science background and often gets ahead of the curve or predict repeats...which is not that hard in this case.Of course, nowhere does it hit you as when you check out, since there can be tabloids there that claim that the ultimate "Check Out" is near...and then you have the choice of an impulse Chocolate buy right before you are hit with the inflation bill.People, in general, seem to have the attention span of a gnat, so while I still observe some social distancing on the line, I had a check-out clerk ask me if I was in line or waiting for someone. The floor markers have long since disappeared in most, if not all places.Mask wearing is chaotic & inconsistent at best, but I try to wear them for the comfort & health of others.Oddly, it seems it seems that mask-wearing in this Ralphs is not as dismal as in the so-called "North County" of SLO County, but is lower than Whole Paycheck. The best mask-wearing seems to be at nearby Sprouts.I used to love looking at the soon-to-expire or expired/discontinued items at this Ralphs, but the choices seem to be more modest now and are no longer called "Woohoo!" for some odd reason. Oddly again, I favor the return to "Woohoo!" than "Reduced Price". Since I can then again jump up & down and scream WOOHOO right before the End of the World, World War 3, another VOC, Murder Hornets, Jumping Japanese Spiders, Huge Fires, an Asteroid hit, or an errant mini--Black Hole encounter ...whichever comes first. In any case, I will likely be at Ralphs for some of my basic needs near the bitter end of humankind regardless, since I really want heavy cream in my last morning coffee.I recommend always having a backup quality real cream creamer for that last guilty pleasure at the end of time.As if, Cholesterol really mattered to a Black Hole, Hypersonic Nuke, or a deadly viral encounter. After all, some milk products do have Vitamin D, all have some vitamins A, D, E, K, Calcium, Phosphorus, which will not do much for Nukes nor holes but could help a bit with general health. Just watch out for radioactive Strontium from potential fallout. We do need to keep California Happy Cows happily employed regardless. Why should they suffer the same fate as idiot humans?A message to all my many followers.....REPENT....and buy Heavy Cream from Happy California Cows! Thanks & please do not sweat the Hypersonic Nukes. Due to the "wisdom" of MAD, Mutual Assured Destruction, both sides have many thousands of warheads, either deployed for handy use or as backup, so most will be sent on sub-sonic missiles anyway. Neither side really has much of a significant anti-ballistic system anyway. Some of you are likely too young to recall the "Star Wars" anti-nuke proposal back in the days of Reagan, but we do not have the tech of particle beam weapons nor lasers to shoot down much of anything...except maybe some e

I do Ralph's pick up orders pretty much exclusively. There is a woman who brings the groceries out who is just so so nice. I wish I caught her name, but her customer service is phenomenal. She puts a huge smile on my face consistently. The pick up department is so efficient and accommodating, which does not feel like a big box store at all. Highly recommend!

They need to update their hours on both Yelp and on their website. I like grocery shopping late at night and I went to shop here at 12 am because both yelp and the website state the store closes at 1 am. The employee said they are closed and that they close at midnight on Sundays. It would be nice to not waste my time next time by providing accurate business hours. Worst of all Yelp said they updated their hours a month ago...

I come to this Ralph's to fill up my water jugs and decided to pop in and see what they got. The staff is super friendly and the place is very clean. It's a HUGE grocery store, big building. This Ralph's doesn't do it for me because I eat organic and low carb (most of the time haha) and although the store has some options, they are not as budget friendly as other stores ie. Costco, Trader Joe's & Grocery Outlet. If you could care less about health food, this is a great place to shop, as the size of the store offers a tremendous amount of normal foods.
