Citi bank as a whole has the worst customer support. Did a wire transfer after talking to customer support over the phone since they closed the Ranch Bernardo office nearest one is now up in Escondido they said the wire transfer was faster since i couldn't just leave work during normal business hours it has already showed the money has come out of the other institution and yet i still have to wait 4 days. Not cool, after this they will lose me as a customer along with some other things. I would recommend leaving citi and going with a credit union where the treat you like a human not a number.

After being a card member for 27 years and Costco member for that time the one time that I request a warranty claim they're making the process so difficult. First they wanted to Costco receipt which I provided then they wanted a estimate which I provided now they require my credit card statement from four years ago to confirm the purchase, even though I gave them the exact Costco receipt. Making life miserable all I'm trying to do is get my kids laptop repaired so she can do her homework.

Someone across the country stole every cent of money I had due to a security breach by Citu. I have been dealing with this for over a month now. Im disabled and live in assisted living. Citi was not helpful at all in getting this mess cleared up. LONG holds,unknowledgable apathetic staff have made my dealing with Citi a nightmare. I still can't get m t mobile app to work. I have been a customer for over 24 years and their customer service,fraud department et al are incompetent and entirely non interested. Don't believe anything they say in print even about how they will take care of you in this situation. It's LIES

Everyone here was super nice. I was treated warmly by a gentleman who had a conversation with me about my dog. Did I mention they're dog friendly?! The woman behind the counter was very sweet and helpful. Even wearing a mask, I knew she was smiling at me which was a nice feeling. I felt like a j*** for having a question as they were closing up, but they didn't make me feel like a bother at all. They actually had me sit down and helped me, and told me how I was not a bother at all. I definitely recommend this bank, especially this branch.

I am a very satisfied customer of Citibank, San Marcos! Our bank recently closed in Vista, and it was suggested we go to SM for our needs. What a great experience! These folks have been so helpful, kind, thorough, and infinitely patient. I have witnessed many interactions with customers, while waiting to be helped, and it was so worth the wait, to experience the value they display for their customers. The tellers, most especially, Luis Lopez, Head Teller, is the very BEST! Luis has the ability to make you feel welcome, no matter what your mission, and it is an absolute pleasure to interact with this young man. He is a definite credit to Citibank, AND a blessing to me. Well done, Luis, well done!!!

I have an account with Citibank and wrote a check for my son and he took it to the bank to be cashed and since he didn't have an account they told him he would have to go to Poway to cash it! That is ridiculous since I have an account with them!! Today I went to deposit cash into my checking account and they made me get a money order because they don't take cash! Absolutely crazy! If I didn't have direct deposit and payments that were automatically taken out I would go elsewhere. I never heard of a bank that is so poor at serving their customers.

I have been banking at this branch for 13 years since Citibank bank took over I have a Gold account. My college student also has an account. The managers Knew me and were eager to assist in any way. However, not anymore. The current customer service is absolutely horrible. Unkind, smug and judgmental! The employee turnover rate is extremely high and with each new batch of tellers and teller supervisors come a new brand of indifference with a display self assigned superiority to the clients! They do not even bother to learn who you are your name or even care if you bank with their bank or branch. It is as if they are being put out to serve or assisted you in your banking needs. when it was clear that I was frustrated with the service I was given, the bank officers inquired with the teller as to her feelings and did not even bother to address me and my concerns even after I told them I would not be coming back! It is an unkind non-friendly and condescending place! I highly recommend banking at another bank or at least at another branch where the managers and supervisor are trained and show examples to the tellers that the only reason they have a job is because clients choose to bank with them. Treat the clients kindly do not shake your heads and mock them with your coworkers as do Jasmine and Luis. It is rude, unkind and extremely unprofessional Customer service training and job appreciation classes apparently are not included in the training with the high turnover rate at the San Marcos branch.

I'm giving this branch a 5 star review based purely on my experience with the Branch Manager, Ken. I'd opened an account with Citi based on a promotion with a cash bonus with a minimum opening bonus. I met the criteria but Citi was gloriously unhelpful to me from the probably more than 7 people I reached out to on Citi customer service line. This was until I called the local branch. Ken went above and beyond anything I could've expected. From the first day, he started off with giving me a call and letting me know how the process would go. From that point forward, it took him over 2 months to get my bonus. I had no expectation that this would be a successful endeavor, but he worked very hard and kept me updated throughout the process. Citi is very lucky to have him on their team! Ken truly cares about customers and this level of service is not something I've noticed with other banks.

Sometimes I feel as if I am rushed in and out of there even when there is no cue behind me. One particular teller, Jennifer, always says is there something else as if she wants me to leave her station immediately and although she is quick and efficient at her job I am not necessarily as quick. Especially during COVID when we have to wait outside in line in the heat I dont appreciate be rushed out as if it not my money they are surviving on.

very rude manager i walk in asking for a money order when sh e the pulls up my acct i said i need a money for $260.00 at this time she telling me how much i have in my acct ..i ask her can you add this up for me ......right then she says you don't have to yell...i have a mask on plus she not hearing me there a plastic covering that stops us hearing each other........she you are being rude close her window tells me to wait again then said out of her mouth stating i'm rude and i have a badd attitude wow she need a vacation now she was being races towards me an older mexican or white woman bad hair style....

First time to visit CitiBank Branch....I was interested in learning about accounts they offered and was Welcomed Elisa Romero, personal banker who discussed and answered all my questions. Cities had a good credit card and it turns out many other programs worth considering. It was a great visit. I had my concerns initially as ratings on another branch were less than par... However I would send everyone to this branch. Staff were all very informative. The Branch Manager was also welcoming and gracious. Thanks everyone...Great work!

Today I had the pleasure of working with the branch manager Kenneth Rees Francis. I have had a long outstanding IRA with Citi that I have been trying to close and not only did Ken call me right over when I entered the door, he immediately and thoroughly met my needs. He called the retirement services dept to ensure everything was filled out properly to ensure that I wouldn't have to come back. I work as a branch manager at local credit union and it is so refreshing that he was on the floor, sleeves rolled up, assisting customers. Thank you for the outstanding service today Ken!!! Big shoulders!!!!

Absolutely the best bank I have ever had, and I have had all the major brands. Never a line when I need to go into the bank. Always greeted with a smile and they genuinely care about my experience and make sure I get great service. The last manager (noha) was terrible but since the new manager took over they will work with you on issues or concerns. Highly recommended Citibank if you dont like getting nickel and dime'd for everything.
