Seem to be finicky with insurance, always call beforehand and make sure everything is cleared. They are always late, and the head pharmacist doesn't know what he is talking about. I filed an incorrect geievance because Costco Pharmacy San Marcos said my medication was NOT covered, but it was. What a joke.

An employee was so weirdly motivated to tattle tale to his supervisor about my perfectly behaved service dog prospect. Like following us around telling multiple supervisors, so freakin weird when all the other employees were so nice and understanding. The supervisor he fetched was nicer than him, but man, that guy was so weird like mentally challenged and vindictive.

Costco truly carries the best of the best. All the products have been extensively tested. And if you are not satisfied, they will take it back. It's a win- win for everyone. Great prices and great products.

Not bad at all! The parking lot was crowded - as expected on a Sunday - but manageable. The interior wasn't bad at all. Clean, organized, and well stocked. We were able to quickly locate the items we needed. Self check out was very efficient as well. Recommended.

This rating is strictly for the customer service that I received todayCostco's food and products are the best again this is just for the customer service. Elena who worked the front today 3/14/23 10am did not explain to me the process of purchasing Apple product. After returning my AirPod, third generation at the front, the staff stated to go to the registers area and purchase the AirPods through there. Once I got there, Elena stated he need to give me a number, how am I supposed to give you a product number without gathering information from you where it's located and what the process is. She then asked several more times, and I said what is the process of obtaining this number. She then told me that I need to go take a picture of the product number where they're located and then there's a ticket that you print out, and bring it back to the registers and then pay for it, then pick it up at the cage in the front. After I left and came back Elena was gone. I didn't want to wait in any more lines because I've been back-and-forth sent all over the place by the register people, the customer service, people, and a manager. I did not want to wait in line anymore so I had to Manager page Elena to ring me up in the front. Then she proceeded to explain to me one more time the process, I'm not the one that needs to understand the process, she's the one that needs to be trained over again how to explain things in the first place in. The two older ladies plus Elena all had attitudes. I think that if the older people can't handle morning rush and get stressed out, I think that they need to move them to the night shift and put the younger people in the dayshift.

The only costco location in San Diego that doesn't honor car battery warranty correctly, and refuses to research and check with other stores what the policy is.Costco's car battery warranty policy that is honored at any store (except this one) is if the battery fails during the first 3 years, you are suppose to receive a refund equal to the total original purchase price as a credit towards the purchase of a new battery. This store is the only store that insisted the warranty is prorated: if the battery is 2 years old, you only get 1/3 the original purchase price back. If you call any another Costco location in San Diego (Carmel Mountain, Morena, Carlsbad), all other location honors the full value credit warranty. San Marcos does not. Corporate Costco also says this isn't correct. If San Marcos is the only location that carries the battery (like it was for one of my cars), then workaround is buy the battery here, and then do your core exchange and warranty work elsewhere, like at Carmel Mountain. San Marcos people won't help you with warranty work, so you'll need to drive the extra miles to go to another location that knows what they are doing.

I love Costco. The food is wonderful, especially the premade tacos and salmon. Their chickens are the most scrumptious, right off the spit!! The managers are also helpful and friendly. Thanks Costco!!

I just became a member recently and signing up for it was definitely an experience. I walked up to the entrance and asked the greeter to point me to membership. She tells me to go through the exit and I do as she says.. only to be yelled at by another employee to go the other way. I explained I had been told to go this way since it was straight to the membership line. After I get past that woman, I wait in line..(there is no clear line or boundaries between the customers exiting and the customers applying for membership) I was very bothered with having to move for other people to get by every 5 seconds. Anyway, I finally get to the counter and the lady helping me was so lost.. She kept asking for help and nobody was really helping her. I was upset for her and for me! Then, they had a problem with the card printer!! I felt like the process could have been so quick and easy if the staff were more efficient. After I got done shopping, I checked out with the biggest karen cashier ever. She even had the haircut! She was rude and spoke passive aggressively!! She was also tossing my items around in the cart when she was scanning them. Like hello!! Those are my groceries!! Otherwise, the Costco itself is fine. They just need better staff.

My friend and i both bought a couple things separately at this Costco. Anna at the checkout exit door was very rude and condescending when we gave her one of our receipts and told her we lost the other one to which she demanded we stayed in a corner and waited for a reprint for a bag of popcorn and some seltzers. She acted like we stole them and were gonna make a run for it and treated in such a condescending manner and made us wait for over five minutes to track down the duplicate receipt and was so nasty. Horrible service. Second bad experience here so not coming back to this Costco.

Made an appointment to get my tire patched. Got here early. Shopped. Waited patiently. Over an hour and a half, after the appointment time, to patch a tire. Horrible customer service. Don't use this tire center!

I appreciate the hours they keep here. I take my dog for a walk up a nearby hill every morning and it allows me the opportunity to stop in for gas at the best price around when virtually no one else is getting gas. I usually arrive around 5:30AM and there is never more than five other cars....avoiding the lines are everything to me...otherwise I would just go to the next best thing...I won't sit and wait to pump gas to save $3-$6....but I certainly appreciate getting the best price and not having to wait AT ALL!! It's on my way to where I'm going and saves me money and time. Heck yeah! I love it. Thanks again Costco! If you not already taking advantage of the wonderful savings in the stores (both the regular store and business center close bye) I recommend you start....saving money in during this crucial time is more than important.

Lately I've been disappointed in human behavior on many levels, but especially when it comes to caring for customers. I'm pleased to share my an exception, one which freaky benefited me. I was rushed on my way to work on multi tasking, when I see pulled in the lot of Costco. I ran into the store, totally without regard for the location I parked I returned to the parking lot, only to realize I had no regard of the location I parked. I spent 30 minutes seeking my 2011 Ford Focus without luck. I finally returned to entrance where i found a young man gathering carts. i explained my situation and he went to work finding my car. I offered to walk with him but he assured me he would look. Twenty five minutes passed, numerous updates and he finally found my car! I was so impressed he placed my problem ahead of the task for which he was hired, gathering carts. COSTCO thank you for training employees to focus on needs of members. I'll be returning often, making note of my parking spot, and being appreciative for great COSTCO team members!

We came to this Costco once because it was convenient to some stops we made in Escondido. It was relatively empty and easy to navigate. Clothing tables looked like they had been freshly stocked, and we purchased some items we saw in a Costco email. We had lunch at the indoor Food Court, which I've reviewed separately.
