Grainger should be ashamed! I've never shopped with them before, went to buy a gasket for a toilet, needed a digital caliper, asked what they had, and was shown and subsequently sold, one, for $62. Went home, opened it up, and saw that I was instructed to change the battery. No instructions as to how to open the batter compartment, and as it didn't just slide open, I googled it. couldn't find instructions or a video BUT I did, inadvertently, see that they had RAPED me on the price! It was showing up in multiple places, Home Depot, Amazon (shipped & sold by Amazon with free next day and/or 2 day shipping, no less) for........wait for it......less than HALF THE PRICE! Had I over paid by 10%, 20%, while I would not have been pleased, I would not have been so disappointed, but what really drove me to write this review was their RESPONSE to me. Corporate was NOT SURPRISED and to be honest, the rep was a bit embarrassed, and apologized saying she really didn't know why they did things like this. And a supervisor proudly told me that they are very pricey to the general public (I guess I have been living in a hole, since, apparently, I should have already known this! Well, now I do!!Unless you have an account and have negotiated a steep discount, I can only say.......Buyer beware!

I want to compliment Jesus from the San Marcos store for the extra time and care he took to help me find the correct replacement motor. It was not a huge sale, but he really made me feel like it was important to him to find the right product. The staff at this store is always exemplary, courteous and respectful.

I was trying like heck to find an electric motor for a 50+ year old furnace. The representative there (Jesus) took his time and helped me find the correct unit (hard to find), and it was in store the next day. Everyone at this branch is always so cheerful and courteous, and willing to go the extra mile to help get the job done. Kudos to the staff at this store, they are always on point.

If you need anything from this location, find another one. It absolutely amazes me that it literally takes them 30 mins to answer a phone. I guess Customer Service is Not Graingers priority. I will be taking my company’s business else where that Customer Service is a Priority..

My review is for Grainger.com. Very disappointed - no customer service. My credit card was charged the day I ordered the product, which I was to receive the next day. Never received it. Grainger.com customer service said the issue was with their delivery company. I then had a three way call with Grainger.com and their delivery company. During this call, the delivery company said noted in their files they called me using my entrance gate phone and that I refused to accept the product. I responded this did not happen as my phone is not connected to our entrance gate phone. I waited all day at home to receive the package. Either the delivery company called someone else or they simply failed to deliver the package. One would think that Grainger.com would have a company policy requiring the delivery company to notify Grainger.com when an order is refused or goes undelivered, to allow Grainger.com the opportunity to contact their customer? Not having received my order, Grainger.com customer service said I could cancel my order and I did. Customer service failed to inform me that a credit would not be issued until the original package was returned back to them by the delivery company. I learned this close to 3 weeks later when I called Grainger.com looking for my credit. Customer service informed me that their warehouse just received the package that very day so now they could issue me a credit. However, Customer service failed to inform me it would take between 5 - 10 business days for the credit to be issued. I learned this when I called Grainger.com customer support a week later looking for my credit. I finally did receive a credit but not for the full amount I was charged. Evidently, Grainger.com charged me some sort of fee. I was never told of this charge during any of my several phone calls with Grainger.com. I did purchase a similar product from Galls.com that I originally ordered from Grainger.com. My charge card was not charged until the day I actually received the product, and not the day I originally made the purchase (as is Grainger.com's policy). This is how is should be done. PS. My assistant reached out to Grainger.com to receive a credit for the remaining balance owed to me. She was told it was not Grainger.com's policy to issue a credit for freight for a customer when everything they have shows that the order was refused. Doesn't this company document their phone calls with their customers? I spoke to several managers over a few weeks time? I wasted so much time with Grainger.com for one purchase. Never again will I purchase anything from this company. And we are still waiting for the final credit.
