I just spoke to this office. A rude woman answered the phone. When I asked her to let me speak to Michael to just explain my case and ask him a question to find out if he can help with my case, She said " No. We don't allow anyone asks us any questions before becoming a client". She also advised me to Google my question, since there are multiple articles about tax concerns on line. This is an example of a poor customer service. I never trust this firm to handle my business.

Mike Russ has been providing professional CPA services to all of my wife and my businesses for the past 40 years. His professionalism and thoroughness have been the exact reason we have never sought out another accounting firm. Mike and Ann are quite the professional team.

I have been a customer of Michael Russ for about 10 years. I run a small business and am always amazed at how Mike weeds through my info. He is thorough and does an outstanding job. He has such a nice demeanor and helps me feel confident about my tax situation. He answers every question I have and I know my taxes are done correctly.

I wish I could have given 0 stars, however, this was not possible. I phoned today to make an appointment with Mr. Russ to have my taxes done. The older woman who answered the phone informed me that he was not taking any new clients at this time. I politely asked how much he charges to prepare a Form 1040 for a single individual, to know for the future. She wouldn’t give me his fee, went on about his education etc., and bottom line she stated, “He charges less than H&R Block.” What does this mean, I thought to myself? She continued to talk a bit more, and once again I politely asked if she could give me an approximate idea what he charges, and she became irate, and continued with a hostile tirade. I work with the public and this lady needs to learn some proper etiquette how to speak to people in a civilized manner. Unfortunately, I will never use this firm in the future, as a result of the treatment I received from the lady who answers his phone.

I notified by the IRS of an outstanding tax bill dating back to 2010. After some research into my tax bill, I found RUSS MICHAEL by googling CPA's. He gave me great advice over the phone. After meeting with an IRS agent and explaining the details to me, l called Russ and made an appointment. We met the next day and discussed what transpired at the IRS office. RUSS assures me he would go over tax forms and reconcile it as best as he could. Later that week he called and said he was finished and I owe nothing. Mr. Michael worked out all the details and filed the necessary forms with the IRS and Ca State Franchise Tax Board. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!!
