I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Steven during my recent visit. Despite arriving on time for my appointment, I was informed that photo paper was unavailable and was advised to go elsewhere. While I understand that supply issues can occur, I was surprised by the lack of proactive solutions offered. Instead of providing alternatives or assisting in any way, I was simply told to go elsewhere to take pictures and return at my convenience.Despite this initial inconvenience, I returned the next day with my children to take pictures. However, my experience only worsened when I encountered Steven. Not only was he rude and dismissive, but he also refused to provide any service, citing a lunch break and instructing me to return another time. His lack of empathy and professionalism was appalling.Furthermore, his directive about returning next week during walk-ins and needing to be among the first four in line was unacceptable. This arbitrary and unreasonable requirement only added to my frustration. His abrupt manner, coupled with his refusal to address my concerns or provide adequate assistance, left me feeling disrespected and undervalued as a customer. To make matters worse, it was evident that I was not the only one experiencing such treatment. Several others in line shared similar complaints about Steven's behavior, leading some to leave the premises altogether.I am left wondering why an employee like Steven, who clearly lacks basic customer service skills and professionalism, is representing your company. It raises concerns about the level of training and oversight provided to your staff. I hope that this feedback serves as an opportunity for improvement. Customer satisfaction should be a top priority, and experiences like mine can greatly impact your reputation and customer loyalty.

So I ran into a lost package in Georgia, almost a week later somehow arrived at my local USPS location, and was grateful I got ahold of Weston, who went above and beyond to find my package (correct a problem the shipper made when writing the label). Let me just say, as stressed I was over this, Weston was so calm, positive, reassured me they had it, and located it in a few minutes. Every other time I've had package trouble at any shipping company I've had problems with have never been so pleasant let alone USPS. I promised I'd leave a 5 star review. Weston, you made my day. Thank you!

PETE is very disrespectful. Was trying to cancel a change of address and he seemed very confused. Told me to move down the line and someone else would help me. I asked him why he couldn’t and he said very rudely someone else will. I asked him why can’t you help me if you work here to which his response was “I don’t work here”. How this guy still has a job here when there are countless negative reviews about him is beyond me.

Drop off a mail piece. Late night drive thru blue USPS drop box. Slip it. Perfect. Curb rash. Extra long vehicles. Front. Rear. Ok. During the day. Happen to walk in the store area before one side for packages I believe & the other for mail pieces. Make sure, you look extra carefully for the vision impaired. Thanks. It's slim, now

The post office worker, Maria, is extremely rude and provides terrible customer service. I will not be going back to San Marcos Post Office again because of the terrible experience I had with this person.

The old white woman with blonde hair who works here needs to be fired. She is the laziest, most incompetent worker, along with being racist. I have now filed complaints about her more than once online, and nothing has been done. She is NOT doing her job and she is AWFUL TO CUSTOMERS. SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS.Accessibility: this post office has its own small lot that is usually pretty full. They have two accessible parking spots but if you can't get those it might be hard to get out of the car here..they do have the drive-thru mail drop for letters though. There is a ramp to get onto the sidewalk and the doors to get inside are pull doors but they are often left propped open, as they are today.

I recommend checking carefully anything they do for your own sake. They printed a label with a typo'd address going to the wrong zip code and covered up my original address on my international package with this wrong address. Won't accept responsibility, blame "the system." I seriously have a picture of my original package with the correct label. Won't refund me. Tell me it's my problem to stop and or reroute my package somehow that's going to another country. The person I spoke to seemed interested in getting the clerk in trouble who made the error instead of helping me resolve my lost package issue. I don't want to get the clerk in trouble, errors happen.

I don't know who gave those bad reviews this Post office in San Marcos. Every time I come here, the staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly. Today my husband and I just went to apply for a new passport for our daughter. Again, the staff was nothing but helpful and friendly. He even made a copy for free. It saved us a lot of time by going to DT to apply for passports. For sure we will use them when our passports are up for renewal.

Excellent, excellent service. Just submitted a passport application and I don't know I ever received better service anywhere in the US before. It was quick, efficient, friendly yet organized and professional. Thank you for your service!

Steven Swanson is the reason I'm giving a 5 star rating. I'm so glad I picked this location to submit my passport paperwork. I didn't have all my paperwork ready which was my fault but Steven put me at ease assured me it's ok and gave me the forms I needed to fill and answered all my questions. He didn't rush me or was mean or anything. Truly the kindest most patient person I have ever come across. Steven is an exceptional person, has AMAZING customer service skills. I'm very lucky to have been assisted by him.

I frequently visit USPS with roughly 20 packages per week. Every single time every employee is quick, efficient, and kind. I am confused about the negative reviews, because I have never had an issue at the post office.*Extra special shoutout to Juana & Steven as they went out of their way to help me with a passport issue I was having a few weeks ago*My biggest piece of advice to all the negative reviews: If you come prepared, you will not have an issue with your package, passport, etc. :)
