Really enjoyed my time at this bead store today. I especially loved the selection of gemstones and came home with a beautiful strand of tourmaline, some carnelian, garnets, adventurine, howlite. Dreaming of the emerald and ruby still, so I'll be back for sure.Made the trip for some gold filled findings, wire, and chain, because it's so hard for me to tell the size of things from a computer screen. Lots of great choices here! I'm already wearing some new pieces after feeling inspired!

I thought the customer service was great. I let them know it was my first time there and they explained how to bag and label the beads I wanted. They gave me enough space to look at everything, but we're there if/when I had questions. This is my new bead store for sure!!

I have Shop Hopped to this beautiful store for the last several years and it is a super great bead store! Organized and brimming with all a beader could hope for. Great finds; glass, wood, books, implements, treasures, and a friendly, helpful staff.I highly recommend A Place to Bead.

I have no idea what people are talking about in regards to the service, as my experience was above and beyond. I emailed with Christina, asking if a repair could be done on a bracelet that was gifted to me (not from this store) that broke. The bracelet holds sentimental valued so I was hoping for a repair. She was so responsive and quick. She was able to receive photos and let me know if she think if the bracelet could be repaired/restrung. I was missing a chain for the bolo bracelet, as it was lost when the bracelet broke. I brought the bracelet in. Christina was able to take a look and definitively tell me what could be/needed to be done. The repair was quick and the pricing was beyond reasonable.

Went in to look for supplies to do some repairs. Then decided to let the owner take care of it. She fixed both necklaces right there. Shame on me for not getting her name. But she was super helpful and is reasonably priced. Great selection of beads and findings.

A very nice supply of quality beads for my tambour projects. They even have vintage and Swarovski crystals. I bought quite a few vials of bugle beads in new-to-me colors. They are hard to find. The prices were reasonable for the quality. The staff was helpful and friendly. I hope to do more business with them.

A Place to Bead is an excellent store for beads, supplies and classes. The owner, Christina, is a great help when selecting beads to work well together in terms of colors, shapes, sizes, finishes and styles. The store is peaceful and I can spend hours there. And the prices are very reasonable.

My family has been going to a place to bead on multiple occasions. They are always super friendly and helpful every time we visit. The available inventory of beads is beyond what you could find at most beading shops. I love how they offer classes and special event usage for private parties at their San Marino location!

I love coming here. They have an amazing selection of beads (MUCH better than most bead places) and the prices are very reasonable, which is to say that the bead prices are on par with Michael's and the other materials are substantially better priced. I've taken a couple of classes and really enjoyed them. It's also in a really lovely location with lots of parking.

A few years ago I visited this bead shop on the way to my mom's house in the town that shall not be named. I was a total beginner to jewelry making and found it all a bit overwhelming. The beads here were lovely, but the salespeople were not. The three employees who were chatting amongst themselves were not helpful at all when I politely asked for help & explained I was a total beginner. If they had been more helpful I would have gladly become a regular customer. I was making stitch markers for crochet and unfortunately the earring wires I bought discolored almost immediately making them unusable & ugly. Why carry such cheap quality merchandise or at least not inform your beginner customers of the pitfalls of using certain products? I was left with a whole lot of unusable earring wires but I did buy a nice strand of beads. I worked retail in this town when I was in high school, and we always treated customers with great respect, kindness and offered great service. Of course that was the exception in this town that shall not be named where some things never change.

Great family-owned, neighborhood bead shop with a good selection of beads and supplies and small tools. They also have trunk shows and workshops by visiting artists.
