I upgraded my phone here and less than a week later I saw charges for cell phone insurance and early upgrade options i did not sign up for or authorize. I filed a formal complaint with corporate AT&T. I went back to turn in my old phone, and they were messing with the phone and I demanded to see what they were doing. They asked if I had an issue and I explained my prior experience and need to see what he was doing. He paused for a moment, gave me my phone back and said he would not help me. I asked to his name and he refused to provide it. His name is Jorge - how do I know? He was the same person who handled my upgrade transaction and added the unauthorized and fraudulent charges. He shouted after me as I was leaving that he was going to shut down my account. Avoid this mess of a place - based on prior reviews posted here, this is a dumpster fire that does not care about charging customers for things that were not authorized.

If your at the Hillsdale Mall in San Mateo and need a phone. Go to Att store and see Mike. He was super helpful, patient and funny. Made my experience very pleasant ??

Not regarding this store in particular but one of their employees. I work in the mall and one of their employees came in, not in the right state of mind, I wouldn’t say intoxicated or under the influence, but not quite all there. He made a big scene. Started to swear at me. Using foul homophobic language and telling me I was going to hell. Made me, my customers and my coworkers employees uncomfortable.When asked him to leave he stated over and over that he worked in the mall and that security would believe him over anyone else.Security had to get called, the police got called.When I tried to call the store to see if I couldn speak to the manager or request a follow up from management, I was immediately routed to customer service before I could finish my sentence.I sincerely hope that your customers are not being treated like this.If possible I would love a phone number or an email to make a formal complaint about this employee. And once the situation has been taken care of I will edit or remove my review.Thank you, have a lovely day.

This review is long overdue. A little over a month ago, my family moved into a new home. We had issues obtaining Wi-Fi from different companies and finally decided to go with AT&T. It began to look like we were going to continue to have issues with installation, but Ale and Angie got on the phone with a long line of people, keeping us informed along the way. They made it happen. They went above and beyond. I will take my business to their location as much as possible.

I was misinformed and had to pay more because of an employee who tried to sell the most expensive plan without paying any attention to the customer, who did not even look at people's faces, and who was busy with other tasks while doing his job. This is why my AT&T experience was terrible.

No selection of prepaid phones so no deals for anyone who doesn't want to pay an insane amount of money for a decent basicphone. Same with other locations limiting options and forcing people to pay for more expensive overpriced phones/items. Oligopoly... (a small group of corporations controlling the prices and level of tech that drives out any would be competition)

Arrived at the store in San Mateo & told one salesperson which phone we wanted. The salesperson told us that the phone was in stock & asked us to wait for our turn. 1.5 hours later, another salesperson met with us, but told us that the phone we wanted was sold out. The salesperson smirked at us as he told us the bad news, as if he was mocking us. 2 hours of my family's weekend wasted due to a staff error. Terrible service, terrible training of employees, terrible corporation.

The actual transaction went smoothly (iphone upgrade for one of the lines). But the store representative (named as "Jefferich L" on the paper receipt - see attached) was unbelievably rude and dismissive. The receipt he printed didn't have the correct amount for what the trade-in phone was supposed to be valued at, so we asked why. And his first response was "oh here we go..", followed by "why do you keep focusing on the number next to total?". When we said that the receipt *is* supposed to say what it should be, after a weak attempt to explain it loosely, he said "I can't talk to you anymore". I couldn't believe it. In all my years shopping at retail stores of big companies, this kind of (racial?) unprofessional behavior never happened. Never. As my wife and I walked out, he was still saying things behind our backs.

I recommend Tyler W to everyone. Very good professional staff. And very empathetic, know how to solve problems from the customer's point of view, the whole process of service is very trustworthy, and the work is efficient.

After the Apple Store in Hillsdale gave up on my installation issue of my iPhone 14, with the 2 genius associates unable to find a solution, I was advised to go to the at&t corporate store. There were several costumers inside the store and the chances to be attended quickly is remote. So I stood near the hallway to be visible. When the SA came out, he approached me immediately and inquired about my problem. Prior to my visit to this store, I was in another AT&T store with the SA unable to help and charged me for an esim card that was not working The Hilladale AT&T store SA, Theo, showed me the right card and was able to install my iPhone 14's cellilar plan. He was helpful and knowledgeable.
