Be cautious about the prices they quote. I was given a verbal offer the night before, but after driving an hour to their office and even meeting at the bank, they lowered the offer by $1,350 from what was originally promised.

Super Shady. They purposely send you an inflated offer on your car just to lowball you when you get there.

I’m fully aware of how CarGurus works… Each company can set their estimates on the higher or lower end of the scale. Of course the numbers aren’t set in stone without physically viewing the car. But you sent me a number $1,450 less than that before even taking a look at the car. It’s 100% predatory and people should be aware especially if they are being referred to sell their car from CarGurus. I added the pictures as well.

I was both selling my truck and buying a new one and after visiting a local dealer and wasting an hour I decided to get an instant offer on Kelley Blue Book, which is how Ben found me. Ben came to my house, looked at my truck, and within 5 minutes made an offer which was better than the dealer. He then asked me what vehicle I was looking to buy and said he can get it for me at the same price or better than the dealer offered, so I said go for it. He found the exact vehicle and two days later we met at his office where in 15 minutes I did both transactions, selling my truck and buying the new one, and was out the door. Doing that at the dealer would have taken several frustrating hours at a minimum, so as you can imagine I was extremely pleased They were highly recommend working with Ben and Auto Start
